  1. Here is something that might surprise you: Most fans are bandwagon fans. The majority of people follow the good teams. It is why ESPN focuses on the winning and big market teams. That doesn't mean that they should be discounted. It is why succesful teams make money - because bandwagon fans buy the gear, tickets, etc.. Don't confuse that with the fact that there are many of us die hards! Aren't you forgetting the Toronto preseason games? 2008 and 2010 both had preseason games played in Toronto. If you say Orange Basketball I will give you that. When it comes to football not many people care at all about them. With Marrone bringing them back yes, but 59-3 FSU there was little to no reaction other than yeah they suck. This speaks to my point above about people everywhere being bandwagoners but following success. I always tell people that there is room on the Bills Wagon - lots of room!
  2. I would go with the larger one for a few reasons. 1. Bundles when buying the system always have a discount. As you said it comes with halo 4 and that right there is $60. 2. The amount of memory will allow him to put movies, music, games, etc... Without worry of it filling up. When it comes to systems 4gb will go fast! 3. The price will drop again before Christmas and bundles will be available. Always buy a system in a bundle!!! You may even be able to come under $200.
  3. I have long thought that Syracuse is a logical expansion of the fan base. We don't have ties to a regional team, the Bills are the closest team, and the Dome would be a great place to host a preseason game a la the Rogers Centre. There is a clear void here as you will see fans of pretty much every team. The Bills could seal this market and increase their stronghold in the region even more. No border to cross, 2.5 hours to the stadium, all thruway driving. It makes so much sense.
  4. I will never ever root for them. They can lose tonight. The Panthers can continue on a tear and beat the Jets next week.
  5. My favorite news of the week was that the team was practicing outdoors. Some players gave credit to that fact helping the team. I think it was hugely beneficial. Knowing the elements and practicing in the elements only can help prepare players. Marrone pushed the right buttons this week for sure!
  6. For sure he's certainly not Lewis, Tuel, Fitzpatrick bad (I'll stick up for Stevie there ) I just was never a fan....
  7. I just laughed because they wanted so badly to give someone, anyone credit for a great block. The only problem was that all 3 players in the hole were holding lol.
  8. I put him about Matt Cassel level. Able to do good things with a good cast but not able to do it himself. The rest of that group you are certainly correct on.
  9. I'll tell you for as many Cuse fans are, season tickets are impossible to unload for these early games. There are so many of them at home right off the bat against crappy competition. I can't even sell my seats for below face value!
  10. Me too. That was my first complaint about this fight. It stunk like a boxing match. White said as much (and you can read about it in Ryan L Billz post). The NAC is terrible, I hope they move fights away from there until they get their sh*t together. For combat sports UFC is the top dog right now. The champions are top notch and the fights are set up by UFC. There is no ducking someone ala Mayweather. If they are good and in your weight class you will fight them.
  11. I had this convo with Edward's Arm as Schaub has had a high ypa stat that he loves. I think the greatness of Arian Foster and Andre Johnson contributed to that more than Schaub himself did. I have never viewed him as a strap the team on his back type of qb. T.J. Yates did well on this team during his best year. Foster cause a lot of teams to have to stack the box which opened up coverage on Johnson. Their play action was also phenomenal bc of these 2 threats. Schaub benefited quite a bit from these guys and to me is the statistical outlier for that stat.
  12. On Johnson's first td run the other night they went to give Levitre credit. They showed the highlight and talked about how great of a signing it was. The problem is that Levitre whiffed on the block and then held the guy to open the hole. They stopped real quick and tried to mention how for a great run you need te's and wr's to block so they showed the same play to highlight that, and both players were holding!
  13. Which I think is an upgrade. Woods and Goodwin have impressed me this year. Hopefully they continue to impress!
  14. I must be watching different games. He is known as a garbage time player through his career and this year has been terrible. In 10 games he has 37 catches for 426 yards. From 2007 to 2013 he has 452 catches for 6154 yards. That is around Stevie Johnson numbers. As opposed to Andre Johnson who this year has doubled that production this year and has 72 catches for 966 yards. Since 2007 he has 579 catches for 8267 yards. That includes 2 injury hampered years. It is pretty safe to say Andre is twice as good as Bowe. He also hasn't had a good qb throwing him the ball much like Bowe.
  15. Normally I would give you crap about 1 yard difference but when it is a matter of doubling the total I understand the correction . I just don't think he has it anymore. Buffalo didn't sign him, Clevelnd cut him in the preseason, and the Pats* brought him in for a look but didn't sign him (when they had nobody to throw to). I think this had more to do with the Bills knowing they would be going with a couple of receivers in the draft and the numbers game not working out for Nelson. The numbers game did work for him in NY as the Jets needed warm bodies. See above. Cut from Browns in preseason. Looked at by the Cheats but not signed. It was Donald Jones (another TBD favorite) that was "cut" from the Cheats. Although it was actually a retirement due to kidney disease.
  16. Who talks about how good Bowe is? I honestly dont' think anyone would list Bowe in the top 20 receivers in the game. Andre Johnson is better than Moulds ever was. I'm assuming you don't play fantasy football or ask this question of those that play fantasy football, not that it is the end all be all. He always ranked in the top 10 of receivers. He also is generally ranked in the top 30 of ALL skill players. This with him being older and some injury concerns. This is a very simple approach to building a team. So much more needs to be taken into consideration. Among them are age, injuries, and cost. All of these would point to it being a very risky move. See my point above. This is exactly the type of player the Pats* would trade away a la Richard Seymour. He is getting up there in years, has a couple more productive seasons left, and the price will be more than he is worth.
  17. I'll disagree with you. Actually the Jets completed a very similar play in this very game. He threw the ball, the wind grabbed the ball, the wr made an adjustment. More times than you realize do qbs throw balls up and let the reciever adjust to it. Specifically on deep balls. Was it a perfect pass in a perfect spot? No. It was however, a pass to a spot that his receiver could make a play on it.
  18. I disagree... He tried out with the Pats* earlier this year and didn't get an offer. He produced in 2011 and then tore his acl. That robs players of athleticism which he didn't have too much of to begin with (on an NFL player scale that is). You sure do love certain players though. At least you got Moorman and his 1 yard punt back on the team
  19. Sorry mdh but I disagree. I would say 1 was pretty clearly Hendricks. Those elbows to the head sealed that round for me. Round 3 was very close as well and I could see gsp getting that round. 5 was his for sure. So 1 definite and 2 maybes won him the fight. Watching that fight, regardless off wear, it was clear to many many ppl that gsp lost. This to me was a case of gsp getting the benefit of the doubt for the first round bc he was the champ. That ended up being the difference in the fight. It was a terrible decision and I think Dana white actually did good damage control. When he says "Hendricks won that fight" many people agree with him and move on. I think it actually minimizes the controversy.

  21. I'm hearing reports of rioting after the cortland Ithaca game but can't find anything about it. Anyone have any info?
  22. I feel the same and it is very frustrating to hear people continue to agree with the op without listening I the interview.
  23. I got 3 of them. I'm hoping to dispense them right around Christmas for a small profit. Although the temptation is to open one up and get busy on it!
  24. Well I listened to the interview and think the OP is way off base. I didn't get any of that. As for those of you that are (over)reacting to his post, I suggest listening to the interview. He did get a bit snippy when they kept trying to be negative with their questions and paint him into a corner. He says he is trying to stay positive and suggested they do the same. Never once did he cross any line or even have his tone change. As for the Spiller comment that everyone is (over)reacting too, he didn't say he wasn't go to use him in the passing game, he said most rbs start out in the backfield and that is what they have CJ do. It wasn't that they weren't going to give him the ball or wanted to underutilize talent, it was that there are better (in his opinion) ways to get him the ball.
  25. Women love Pinterest. Not sure why it is such a female oriented site but it is. There are some cool things in there but no I don't use it.
