  1. "used to be a lesbian" So she is bisexual and has had both gay and straight relationships? Did she choose to be bisexual? What real world observations? You pointed out a person who is bisexual and mislabeled herself as a lesbian? Why would people choose to be gay? Seriously give me one good honest reason. Please! I have never understood this argument. Again lesbian/bisexual. It would be interesting to see a survey to see if you could find anyone that openly would admit they chose being gay. Not bisexual but gay. I have several gay friends, family members, etc... All of them have told stories of knowing very early on that they were attracted to the same sex. My aunt changed my views on this entirely when she told me that she had a crush on the cute girl in kindergarten! So I am left to wonder bbb and John in Jax how many people have you talked to about this. How many people (can you find even one) have told you they chose to be gay? Intolerance or ignorance. I am a catholic and have never understood the whole stance of the bible being against gay people. The new testament is much more open to acceptance while the old testament shows a much more judgemental and vengeful god. So leviticus says it is an abomination? What about "Do not oppress your neighbor" (leviticus) or how about "Do not hate in your heart" (also leviticus). What about " A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John) The best one though is "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans). So there you have one quote against homosexuality and several that are accepting of people (including everyone yes even gay people ). That is the great thing about the Bible it is open for everyone to interpret in their own way. I will leave you with one last new testament verse from Matthew (you know the GOSPEL) "judge not lest ye be judged"
  2. Didn't post last time I tried... Keita is on the bench in his warmups. Has been flexing and stretching the knee. He has also bee up and down on it so hopefully it isn't too bad.
  3. What are they saying the Keita injury is? I saw him leaving the court and limp down the tunnels but have no idea the severity or anything. He didn't come back out for second half warmups either.
  4. Roberson Patterson Johnson I would imagine. Just a guess though as I've never heard the nickname before.
  5. I have never been in the can't give him too much credit (or blame) because it was Fisher's team camp. I think the DC gets the majority of credit and or blame. Look at Pettine. He came in and rapidly improved over 2 previous coordinators. It was indeed 2 different head coaches but they were both offensive guys. It will be interesting to see what happens for sure and we don't know what he will run. We can make educated guesses based on previous history which is what I think scottlaw was doing I just don't know if we can use the numbers from when he was a HC to reflect what he will do as a DC. As for the one extra blitz per drive how are you computing that stat? To me it would be 1 extra blitz every 10 plays which doesn't seem like that big of a difference. Add the fact that Schwartz's d usually perform better than Pettine's d when it comes to run defense and I would be willing to make that tradeoff.
  6. Yeah I am never surprised by a person in authority abusing their power. On the flip side though once you become noticed by an authority figure they will be watching you more closely than anyone else. As I said earlier this is a huge non-story to me. She touched the security guard and got kicked out. He may have been rude but he didn't remove her until she crossed that line.
  7. Can the Lions stats be used when talking about Schwartz though? Cunningham by the accounts I have seen designed and called the plays. Add in the face that it appears the Bills were blitzing 29% to the stated 20% and the difference isn't too huge.
  8. How do you pull the bolded out of what is now going on. It clearly appears that bullying isn't what was happening in this situation and it was blown out of proportion by the media. Also many players backed Incognito in the immediate aftermath of this. Maybe he had grown up, or maybe he is a good leader (lots of leaders aren't nice guys - think Patton), or maybe they respected his fire. They're are still a lot of facts and details to come out of this but it sure appears that many used their previous thoughts of RI and instantly believed the narrative.
  9. I work with a woman who's daughter sat right behind this woman. Said she was annoying the whole game and there were several comments to that effect below the story. Then again she is a Duke fan and coworkers daughter is a cuse fan so there is that. Who honestly cares though? This is a complete non-story. She touched the freaking security guard! I don't care what the reason was for it but that is grounds for immediate dismissal from the game. There was about 20 seconds left too. I had to laugh at her shirt choice too: I love D edit: I want to add that the whole reason I knew about it was because the coworkers daughter thought she left before the end of the game. She didn't realize that she got kicked out and was complaining about the publicity this fan was receiving even though she left early. Would lead me to believe that it wasn't as big a scene as the story makes it out to be...
  10. I have to disagree with the student section comment. I was at the game myself and the student section was filled as usual. Also they have several new chants that I hadn't seen before. They now do a car alarm cheer during opponents free throws which was pretty funny. They were also much more coordinated than I have ever seen them. The crowd was very into it early especially when coney caught fire. The malaise set in for the middle part of the game all the way until about the 6-8 minute mark of the second half. That is when the crowd got back into as nd had closed the gap and was making their final push. The team definitely had a let down type effort but cooney carried them through. At half it was cooney 17 and nd 18. Early in the second he tied it 20-20! He was a one man wrecking crew last night. Which was a very good thing as the rest f the team (except Ennis seriously kid continues to be clutch) had a hard time finding any energy. A ton of in characteristic turnovers last night. They get a long week to rest before Sunday and that seems to be just what the doctor ordered.
  11. Well you asked if there was a Calvin Johnson in this draft so I responded with wr candidates. There are holes on this team that can be addressed with the first round pick that will make the team better immediately. That is why another first on a qb would be a waste. 3rd or later? I'm on board with. The first couple picks at least should be made with giving the team the best chance to improve next year. Passing up elite talent for the 4th best qb most certainly would mess that up imo.
  12. I like your edit I was about to blame you for the shrinking lead! Lol C'mon cuse!!!
  13. So it's almost like you're saying we don't yet know what we have? Hmmm I like that you mention gabbert and locker though. As others have mentioned reaching for a qb to get the third or fourth best off the board is generally not a good strategy. As for you megatron question... It depends how you feel about Watkins or even Evans. They could indeed turn out to be elite receivers. They would certainly see the field though. Drafting a qb in round 1 this year guaranteed that either this year or last years first won't. I don't see how that is a winning strategy.
  14. Is everyone going to refuse to acknowledge the Matthew stafford comparison? He also played in 10 games his rookie year due to injury with stats that were worse than ejs. He followed that up with 3 games his next year. Then he we went on to throw for 5k yards and 40 Tds in a season. You know what the lions did? Continued to give him weapons and improve the team around him. There is no qb that will be there at 9 that will be worth taking over any of the other positions that would help the bills next year. This draft definitely reminds me of that draft with a lot of the same players.
  15. Cooney is down 18-17 to notre dame right now!
  16. I think the strategy of BPA does just this and supposedly it is what the Bills subscribe too. The question is will there really be a can't miss qb available at 9? Would you rather the #3/4 qb or the #1WR, #2LB, or #1/#2 OT?
  17. You realize that Cousins was picked in the 4th round right? Most of the people that are defending EJ wouldn't mind a qb being taken that late. The question was whether or not to take a 1st round qb this year. That is what TG said "I do" to. If there is value late most if not all people would be on board as the backup situation isn't solved in their eyes. That said to waste a 1st on a backup qb (either this year or last years would be just that) is silly to put it kindly. Add in the fact that you are staring at maybe the 4th best qb in a questionable class and it makes the idea even worse.
  18. That would definitely be out on a limb. Everything I've seen has him in the 2nd or 3rd. If he goes 4th or later I would love the Bills to jump on him!
  19. It has nothing to do with you receiving my stamp of approval. It has more to do with I can't take your opinion seriously because you come across as an I'm smarter than you jerk and talk down to so many people interested in having a conversation. I think by the sounds of this thread many don't agree with what TG did. You are acting like whatever TG and those at the news do is acceptable. Many of us feel he was just being a jerk. His question and response to EJ were self serving and nothing more. There are many qbs that have gone on to success that had poor first years. There are many who had injury problems at the start of their career. None that I can recollect had to deal with a reporter saying that they should be replaced after one year to their face. It was a pot stirring effort by TG. Do you think perhaps the Bills reluctance to deal with the local media has anything to do with their treatment by said media? If given the choice of dealing with someone who is cordial and interested in a discussion or someone who is going to trash you constantly to garner clicks/views who are you going to grant access/interviews? Badol you have glossed over this post so in your infinite wisdom please reply to this. I would be interested to know what the smartest Bills fan ever has to say about my thoughts here.
  20. I keep trying to give you the benefit of the doubt as your reputation was defended by a mod but wow is the snark strong with you. So on a Bills fan message board thos that cheer for the team and want to see the qb succeed shouldn't? I would be very interested in a response from you to my previous post about all qbs struggling with pressure and the interesting parallels of Matthew Stafford. Your last line is very interesting. The players get away with not speaking to the media bc it is a small market but we as fans shouldn't care because the product is crap? It is there job to report on the Bills, that is what the news hires them to do. TG making his job more difficult seems counterproductive to what his employer would want from him. Fans certainly want reporting on this team especially those of us that frequent this board. So who is winning when media makes enemies out of players? Or should we just not care bc they haven't been good for so long?
