section122 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Billings is falling. Just read there are questions about his love of the game which I hadn't seen before. Hope it's not Tru and hope the Bills snag him! -

Punishes receivers on shallow crossing routes? Love it. That's where Brady makes his living. It would be nice to see Edelman get lit up so he has something to think about. -
2016 draft rounds 2 & 3 around the league

Yup 4th round is maybe. 2nd round should be a starter. Not mad at the compensation at all. It may be a bit much but the extra 4th allowed them to make a move for their guy. -

When did 4th round picks become gold? Seriously is there anything that would make some of you happy? -

Hoping for billings at this point! -
RD 1, Pick 19: DE Shaq Lawson, Clemson University

I agree and think it is silly for Rex to get knocked for picking Clemson players. Having his son be someone who knows these guys, their work ethic in practice, attitude on and off the field, leadership qualities, etc... is invaluable information and something you don't get to see during the pre-draft process where everyone is on there best behavior and giving coached answers. I also wonder if they figured he wouldn't be around for there spot so they didn't feel the need to bring him in. -
Slow brains had me laughing! As for your second point I think the loss of Brandon Spikes was huge for the team last year. He improved the run d greatly and brought a nastiness that was certainly lacking last year. A thumper would help and has a place but that doesn't mean I want it to be a high draft pick. Ragland in the second would be tempting though.

It does drown out the message quite a bit. -

But I sprained my MCL, and there was a lot of doubt whether I would be able to play against Alabama in the national championship game. I was only about 50 percent, but I went out there and gave it my all. I had three solo tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks—but we finished six points short of the national championship. in this one conversation he shows so much. Played through pain, put it all on the line for his team even though he was staring at a big payday, played well, finishes the statement talking about the team and how they fell short of there goal. -

Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schefter on Mike and Mike this morning stated that the Jets are offering 9-10 million and he wants 15. Who won that game? Same schedule save for 2 games. Bills got Bengals and Chiefs (2 playoff teams combined 23-9) and the Jets got the Browns and Raiders (combined 10 and 22). Jets finished 2 games better and lost to the Bills both games. -
JW sez Bills going D with first pick

The thing is.... I don't place last year's performance solely on Mario. Him quitting was certainly a detriment. The biggest change in the 2 years was injuries. 2014 saw an incredible situation with regards to staying injury free. 2015 not so much. Also, even though Crayonz is on another crusade (I thought these violated the TOS) most of us aren't excusing Rex. He came in and tried to blend his and Scwartz's defense and it didn't work. Then he tried to go full bore into his defense and it was too late in the year. He shares some of the blame but just as he wants to say it is dumb to put it all on Mario, it is dumb to put it all on Rex. -

Oops my apologies. I thought it came out much earlier. I think the writing was on the wall that he was gone pretty much no matter what. That money was used on Glenn and Gilmore. Where would they have found the money to keep either Bradham or Mario? Those moves were going to be made regardless. -
The first 40 seconds of that video are a waste. Then he goes lights out! Great skill in both placement and bounce. I love Schmidt though and think he can be the punter long term. I still stand by my assertion that a lot of the kicking problems last year were on poor snaps from Sanborn.

Draft Time - Who would you love, hate, and expect

Shoot I'm rooting for a trade down. There are so many players that are fits that should be available at 19 it only makes sense to trade down, get their guy, and gather an extra pick. I will actually be kind of disappointed if they DON'T trade down unless someone like Lawson slides unexpectedly. Get 'em! I was ready to fire replies but you hit the nail on the head here! The guy who has proven to be about money, who stated early in the year that he wouldn't take a pay cut or restructure? That is the guy who, after a productive year, would renegotiate to give money back? That is a much bigger stretch that your next line. Why wouldn't he have taken less money to go to the Eagles as he has proven he was productive in that system? Why would he float the first team to offer 10 million gets me? -
Yup. I've sat through blizzards, rain, freezing temps, etc... That freezing rain was out of control and it just kept coming. Might be the coldest walk back to the car ever! I just looked it up to see if memory had made it worse than it was and here is what I found "The game began with a pelting rain and winds gusting at more than 30 miles per hour, and ended with flurries and wind gusts above 50. "

I'm biased here but anyway.... The tunnel was the best for me. 1. You get the players coming and going which was the best benefit. Seeing legends of the game up close and personal adds an extra touch to the amazing experience that is being at the Ralph. 2. I used to be a huge Madden fan so the view was exactly what I was used to . Seriously though watching plays develop is much easier having them come at you or away from you. 3. The atmosphere is fantastic. The fans there are just a bit more rowdy. I have some great tales from my seats. As for the sun and the wind, the most miserable experience was the Giants game in I believe 08 where it was driving freezing rain. We got punched in the face by freezing rain for 3 hours. That said I can think of several November games where I was plenty warm having the sun beating on me (as well as a bit of liquid heat).

Jarran Reed On Bills - "We'd Be Unstoppable"
section122 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At 24 seconds he drops to space. Then chases the receiver stride for stride for 30 yards. That was incredibly impressive! Followed directly a bury the QB sack. I know it is a highlight reel but that was a very well put together one. Never had to circle him or point out where he was just wait for the action! -
Yes osweiller did get it because they are stupid but it only takes one team to pay out. It seems a safe bet that another team would throw money at tyrod if he took the Bills to the playoffs.

This is who I am hoping is sitting there at 19!
