  1. Yes osweiller did get it because they are stupid but it only takes one team to pay out. It seems a safe bet that another team would throw money at tyrod if he took the Bills to the playoffs.
  2. This is who I am hoping is sitting there at 19!
  3. I loved the Red color rush look. It is my favorite Bills uni. I ended up buying one and hope they wear it again!
  4. I found this article that was interesting but he didn't go into details. Also Trevathan got an entirely new knee cap after playing 3 games the year prior. I won't claim to be an expert on any of this stuff but it scares me. If we know going in that Injuries will be an issue that has to weigh heavily into the decision making process. It isn't a question of if it will effect Jack just when. Hopefully it is after a long and productive career (if he gets drafted by the Bills). It is simply a huge red flag for me and one that is big enough I don't like the idea of a trade up. If he is sitting there at 19 I wouldn't be upset. Moving up in this very deep draft at our needs would not be my favorite scenario.
  5. Did you see the money Brock Osweiller got? He did much less than Tyrod has. He also is only a year younger. I looked into this earlier in the off season after the contracts handed out to Bradford and Osweiller (who both got way overpaid imo) There are 21 qbs in the league who AVERAGE over 16 million a year. The only 2 qbs in the entire league who are on a second contract and make less than that while expected to start are Foles at 12.2 and RG3 at 7.5. Tyrod is all the way down at 1.1. Tyrod is looking at least at 16 million next year at the absolute lowest end if he performs well playoffs or not. The going rate for a qb is astronomical right now. If the Bills don't want to open the purse strings you have to believe that someone will. Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, and Kirk Cousins are all qbs who are slated to be FA next year. Kirk Cousins likely sets the Tyrod market (if Tyrod performs well next season). This year he got the franchise tag and 19.9 million. That means with the contract leap frog (great term btw) 20 million is not unexpected (if he plays well)
  6. Yup it drove me away. I used to have ESPN on all day every day. I used to leave SC on and watch highlights non stop. Then PTI came out and it was my favorite show on tv. Then ESPN decided that all of their programming would be that style. Now it is analysis and soap opera-ish. Someone mentioned upthread that Skip was an internet troll and I agree. He just says things to get ratings and unfortunately it worked.
  7. and stunk when the Bucs grabbed Daquan Bowers. It could work and it could not work. 19 wouldn't be a terrible spot for him but I would be nervous trading up for him.
  8. I absolutely won't crush him for not going to this workout. The same as I didn't say anything about Sammy not attending. To the bolded though it happens all the time. Teams strengths change from year to year. Players come and go in FA, injuries change depth, motivation can ebb and flow with some players, coaching changes, etc... Some examples from just the last 2 years in the NFL... San Francisco went from 5th in Defense in 2014 to 31st. This was due to coaching changes and retirements Detroit went from #2 defense to #18. Coaching change and lost Suh Indy went from #3 to #28 on offense. Luck went down. Packers went from #6 to #23. They lost Jordy and got a fat Eddie Lacy. 2 years is an eternity in the NFL. The Broncos won the SB this year after going 2 years prior and they 20 players left from a SB squad. They went from being an offensively focused team with a QB having a historic season to a defensive team dragging that same QB who was now a gimp.
  9. I see the dynamic play maker. I see the "jack knife." I see why people want him. I'm terrified of him being the pick. It is purely a gut thing but I think he will be injured for most of his career.
  10. I have wondered the same thing and guess I'm not the only one. His takes have been wrong pretty much non stop since the end of the year.
  11. I realized not too long ago that Mario pulled a Clowney. Clowney during his last year in college knew that he wasn't going to stay and would be a high pick. So he mailed it in for the entire year. Mario knew that no matter what his contract wouldn't allow him to stay on the team barring a pay cut. So he protected himself and dogged it. What I don't think he accounted for is how much the "quitter" label would effect his pay check. I want all of the people defending him to think about this. In a year where Olivier Vernon got 15 million for potential Mario had to settle for 8. He even floated that the first person to offer him 10 would get him and he couldn't get that. So all of us on message boards can opine for the entire off season but the league has already spoken on this issue and it doesn't reflect favorably on Mario. Failed to the tune of not having a top 10 defesne twice in the years he has been a HC including last year. Rex was always dogged for poor offensive performance. His defenses were rarely the issue. Yup. As I posted above clearly the league thinks he quit. Rex certainly erred in not pulling him off of the field. This thread is beyond my comprehension. I have seen nobody defend the job Rex did last year. EVERYONE was disappointed. To lay the poor defensive performance at his feet entirely and not account for injuries or your best player mailing it in is lazy at best. Rex has even come out and admitted that he screwed the pooch last year by not going with his system full bore at the beginning of last year. I have yet to see anyone completely exonerate Rex for the d failings last year.
  12. It is a shame what has become of e!spn. I just want highlights! I don't care who dates who, who doesn't like who, who got arrested for what, or any of the sort.
  13. I'm on record that as spectacular as he has been the injuries make me think he won't ever live up to the hype. Back to back season enders is more than enough to give me pause.
  14. Sat 122 for 5+ years (see screen name) right above the tunnel and they were great. Right behind first down man if anyone is familiar. It may be blasphemy but I preferred sitting in the 300s. There are bathrooms at the top of the stadium that are clean with little to no line, view is fantastic, seats are cheaper. Short of seeing the players coming and going I look for 300s before lower bowl.
  15. TNF on the road at NE coming off of a west coast game and NE coming off of their bye. Seriously though one of the main things I am interested in tonight is how many games do the Bills play against teams with more rest. That and when the 49ers game is as that is the one I want to attend this year.
  16. Sometimes my wife tells me that sports are just soaps for men. I disagree with her but then people actually care about things like this.
  17. The talent on that Auburn team was not NC level at all. Look at this roster. I count 3 players that are still in the NFL besides Newton. Cody Parkey who is a K, Dee Ford and Nick Fairley, none of which are setting the league on fire.
  18. ? Jones was drafted by the Pats*. Also I watched his Senior year specifically against a ranked WVU team with Geno as the QB and he absolutely dominated that game. Yeah I am. The Cowboys would draft Alfred Morris at 6? If they are ranking it by best player Alfred Morris doesn't belong there. If you go by the position that the Cowboys needed CB was obvious as they selected Mo Claiborne. Gilmore is a much better fit there than Alfred Morris. This was kind of a dumb do over. It alternated between the team needs at the time and team needs at the present. Pretty weak effort imo.
  19. Haven't heard this and quite frankly I don't agree at all. I don't think the reffing was egregious at all. There were a couple of questionable calls as there are in every game. Just going through Cuse I can think of 2 early fouls that clearly weren't (Malachi's strip that gave him foul #2) against UNC, the call on the Cooney steal against Gonzaga, and it goes on. There are calls in every basketball game on every level that could be wrong. Never once did I feel that they interjected themselves in the game. Neutral fan here and I disagree lol. Seeing a UNC fan complain about officiating is like looking at a Pats* fan complain about it. Things go in UNC's favor way more than the other way. This was a great game by both teams. It shouldn't be sullied with complaints and accusations of impropriety. UNC dominated throughout the tourney and looked excellent but they had a pretty easy road to the Championship game. They played in order a 16, 9, 6, 10 seed. Nova was by far the best team they played against. They were met with a very tough challenge for the first time in the tourney and got beat in one of the best NC games in recent history. No shame in that.
  20. They weren't the highest bidder. Twitter's CFO used to work in the NFL executive office.
  21. My thoughts as well. BB is famous for bringing in QBs he has no intention of drafting in order to pick their brains. Hackenburg wouldn't shock me but it would sadden me. That would be a homer pick by Terry and I want to believe Whaley gets to do his job without interference. Ezekiel Elliot would shock me as RB is one of the positions we have depth in. That said I don't think he will be there. Shocking pick to me would be any QB. With the needs on D and OL (I can't believe I am about to say this about the Bills) a qb would be a luxury pick. I don't see much difference between Lynch and the others projected to go much later.
  22. Not at all. The Jets pick right behind us and currently only have Geno on the roster. I think the Bills pick is where people will have to go to get a qb of their choice. If Fitz doesn't come back before the draft I can see them going QB in the first. That means other teams will have to jump up over. I could see Denver making the leap and it would cost them their second round pick. I would trade 19 for 31 and 63. Then there is Cle, Dallas, SD, and SF that could potentially want to come back into the 1st. Cleveland specifically and that would cost them their 2,3, and 6. I would try to push for something that would give us their first next year though.
  23. I really hope we see Cardale on the Bills next year. His physical skills are so intriguing. He is a guy that has the physical tools and now that we have TT he could have the time to perfect his craft. I really don't hold the down year against him as I agree that he isn't really an Urban QB.
