  1. Just got back from dinner at prison city pub. They have an in house brewery and everything I tried (got a flight) was fantastic. Auburn NY representing on a national level too! https://www.google.com/amp/auburnpub.com/news/local/prison-city-pub-brewery-ipa-ranked-no-in-america/article_546a02d9-b903-5bb8-9eeb-691933ec0af4.amp.html?client=ms-android-verizon You won't be disappointed! It is always a limited supply but as I said I haven't had a bad beer yet from them.
  2. She isn't a minor in NYS. I know this for a ridiculous reason.... Here I am 21 and at my house drinking (a long time ago). My friend asks if his girlfriend can come over with him. She is 18 and he says she has a friend. Of course I say yes. Friend shows up and is white trash personified. She is also 17. I try to play the she is underage or I would card and she calls the local PD! She asks on speakerphone what the legal age of consent is in NY and the woman answers 17. Not my proudest moment.
  3. Fat Tire has been a favorite of mine this fall. Pairs great with wings! Also one of my local shops has been carrying a lot of Grimm over the last year. I have yet to have a bad one. I especially like their sour ales.
  4. For me it goes: Win in a blowout Win a close one Everything else.
  5. I agree but he keeps repeating that we should have won those games as if they were easy games. We are a game shy of where I had the Bills as I thought they would win all 3 of those. Then again I had them losing to the Cardinals and Bengals. The Jets game hurts more for me. Watching Fitz be electric was maddening. I kept saying "he is nowhere near this good!" His wrs were bailing him out on a lot of 50/50 balls but still that one stung. Home opener, Rex's former team, Division game, Primetime. Ravens was a coin toss to me as they are usually tough and 8-1 under Harbaugh in week 1. The fins had finally gotten healthy along the o-line so I was nervous about that one as well. The Jets I thought was in the bag.
  6. So the 7-3 Giants who only won by 1 are a bad team? How about the 6-3-1 Redskins who tied them? For reference that is the teams with the 3rd and 4th best records in the NFC. I get the Jets but why do you keep grouping the Ravens and Phins games as should have won. By record these teams are at the very least as good if not better than the Bills. Could've won yes. Should've won? I don't think so.
  7. so this is his punishment? Blow a couple of calls on MNF get relished to Buffalo Jacksonville!
  8. I don't care about the revenue I was addressing Badol's talk of apathy setting in and it being more dangerous than anger. I get his point anger means people still care I just disagree that fans are apathetic and I think record ticket sales proves that point. Rex making the team nationally relevant speaks to people not just in this region caring about the Bills. I live near Syracuse and have seen more Bills fans popping up. The hate that the Super Bowl years created has dissipated and now the Bills are the lovable losers. I don't hate anyone either but the bolded was what I was getting at. This win could be looked at as a hard fought win against a conference foe on the road, that many people had chalked up as a loss if they are being honest with themselves, and all I read is how bad the team is. This place is more fun after a Bills win except after this one for some reason.
  9. https://twitter.com/pfref?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw The Bills have had the 3rd hardest schedule in the AFC to date (8th in NFL). Their SOS will go down greatly after playing the Jags and Browns and we will see if the record reflects as much.
  10. Do you see more coverage for the Bills now or when Marrone was the coach? How about when Jauron was the coach? I was addressing Badols comment about apathy setting in. Rex brings a level of coverage with him. It may certainly be for saying something dumb but as PT Barnum said no publicity is bad publicity. Scott you even mentioned that season ticket sales are up!
  11. Then I would say I am interested to see how you would rank those guys. To me at least none of them enjoyed the success Rex has as a HC. Chan is a great OC but was over his head as an OC, Gregg Williams is well Gregg Williams, Jauron had the least enthusiasm of any coach I have ever seen and played the rare bend and break defense, Marrone was a good coach imo but I don't think his schtick will work for very long anywhere he goes. Maybe hate is too strong of a word. I hate these types of posts like I hate mosquitoes. Not enough to get actually mad but enough to think god d*mn it. That said Rex has certainly made this team nationally relevant and the Pegulas have brought a level of respect among other owners that I don't think was there with Ralph. Ralph did a ton for the league especially during the afl days but towards the end he did little to help the league and did more to help his coffers (can't really be mad at him for it). I don't mean this as the other owners didn't respect him as a person but that a billionaire sitting at the table ( the 7th richest in the league) commands more respect than someone whose entire net worth is tied up in the Bills. and that is perfectly ok.
  12. I personally don't however I think an argument could be made. He did okay with the Bills and is doing well with the titans this year. His time in jacksonbulle was terrible. The rest of the coaches in that list are in arguable to me.
  13. I can absolutely respect the last 3 lines in this post. I don't need everyone to be JFH . The first line though bleeds into what I am talking about. It is the BBFS that 26 always posts. Mediocrity is an improvement for this team as sad as that is to post. 7-9/6-10 forever. For the first time in a long time we are getting legitimate NFL coaching (whatever you think of Rex I think we can all agree he is better than Chan, Jauron, Greg Williams, and Marrone) and have a potential QB of the future (maybe maybe not - again best qb in a long time). This team is trending upwards and has since Whaley took over. This season is far from over yet most have written it off. Sure it could be the same old Bills or it could be a run that we don't often see. The 4 game winning streak earlier this year was the first in how many years? I enjoy watching this team and feel that they can win every game (well except maybe against Brady and the pats* ). It has been a long time as a fan since I could legitimately say that. I would prefer to look forward to the games and enjoy the limited time I get with Bills football each year rather than try to be a "realist." Just a matter of personal preference as I won't tell anyone how to be a fan I just will judge from a far
  14. I don't expect people to love everything Bills but I certainly don't expect "fans" to hate on everything Bills. I get why people might not like Tyrod or Rex.
  15. I hate that "fans" can't enjoy a win anymore. I hate that "fans" trash any player who gives them the smallest excuse to do so I hate "fans" who relish when things go poorly simply so they can say I told you so I hate "fans" who crusade against the team they are supposed to root for I hate "fans" who have made up their mind that Rex/Tyrod/etc.. suck and won't listen to any points to the contrary This week has been annoying on a whole new level. Instead of reading about how the Bills pulled out a tough gritty win I read about how this win doesn't matter, Tyrod is lucky their K missed 2 xps, and same old Bills. Hell I read today that 10-6 should get Rex fired, the Bills are already out of the playoffs, Tyrod should take lessons from Tannehill, and more. Before I hear from the realists how people should be down on the team and I don't like contrarian opinions... There are posters who trash everything Bills (scottlaw, jtsp, billsvet) and then there are people who have level headed opinions and fall on either side of the coin (gunnerbill/bandit not liking Tyrod). I don't mind contrarian opinions, in fact it is what I enjoy about this place, but if I know what the tune of your post will be before I even read it....
  16. My BBFS has been tingling since the schedule release. I see us with the same scenario the Jets were in last year. All down to the final game and against the Jets who have nothing to play for. It will be Fitz's Super Bowl again. It just lines up to perfectly . I will be a wreck all week leading up to that game if that is the case lol
  17. Your own post history shows that most people here don't know what they are talking about (just having some fun here )
  18. Exactly my point. What has their record been? I love that you are bashing the team but somehow Rex sucks because he can't take this team to 11-5 (as you stated 10-6 should still get him fired). Shirley you see the irony? The Bills are missing the piece that drives all teams that are consistently successful. A stud QB. Tyrod may get there but as one of his biggest detractors you obviously don't think he will ever get there. So going off of your opinions: Tyrod is terrible so the Bills are bad at one of the most important positions in all of sports and the Bills are consistently mediocre so much so that you can put next years record in the bank but Rex should win with this and he sucks even if he goes 10-6 with all of this? hmmm... Marty Schottenheimer from the Chargers. They replaced him with Norv Turner and never got back to the records Marty was putting up.
  19. and patience! Wilson, Cousins, and Brady all had a learning curve. Wilson passed for more than 300 yards 4 times in his first 3 seasons, Cousins had 17tds and 18 ints through his first 3 years, Brady passed for more than 300 yards in 6 of his first 46 games. Tyrod's start to his career is very very similar to the start of Wilson's career numbers wise. No need to bash solely Bills fans here. Almost everyone questioned the pick at the time.
  20. 10-6 would guarantee the playoffs in 2 of the last 5 years. It would tie you with the 6 seed in the other 3 years. 10-6 would be the Bills best record since 1999. Firing a coach after going 10-6 would give a lot of other candidates pause. Who would take the job where 10-6 gets you fired. Who would take THE BILLS job if 10-6 gets you fired. Firing for any less that 7-9 would imo cause a lot of coaches to put the Bills on their "nope not going there list"
  21. Very but I feel like people lose perspective a lot around here. This team has been bad for a long time. Had 1 good year (if Rex had that year though it would suck because he sucks ) and all of a sudden Rex ruined the team by finishing 1 game worse with an injury depleted version of the same team. Wow you know what their record will be next year?!?!?!? Can you tell me the lotto numbers for tonight? It will greatly free me up and would be much appreciated.
  22. Down the rabbit hole... So many key players hurt last year but still it wasn't a great coaching job by Rex last year. People don't want to pay attention to the rest of the league... Is John Harbaugh a great coach? He followed up a 10-6 year with 5-11 in 2015 Rex came into a new team and after 2 years would be 17-15. The Buffalo Bills over 2 years would be 17-15. Did you forget who you root for? Some perspective for you, 17-15 over 2 years would be the Bills best stretch since 99-00.
  23. I would absolutely HATE firing Rex if the Bills go 9-7. Losing Dareus for the first 7 games, Sammy for 8, Aaron Williams for 10, McCoy for 2 and somehow going 9-7 would be a heckuva coaching job.
  24. I hate doing the work for other people but here you go.... Robbie Gould - missed 2 points kept the Giants lead to 6. Chicago got the ball with 3 minutes and a chance to win Kai Forbath - missed 1 and kept the Vikings lead to 6. Cards get the ball with 2:20 left and a chance to win. on the other side of things... Jason Myers - missed 1 and therefore when the Jags got the ball at the end of the game they only had a chance to tie instead of win. My point is though that it is a football game and the game must be viewed in its entirety. You can't point to 2 plays in the first half and say that a team is lucky to win because of them. A minor thing that I was happy to see on that drive was the Bills players laying on Bengals players after the tackle. It didn't use a ton of time but it certainly cost a few extra seconds each time and helped limit their chance at the end. I remember the Kevin Everett game where the Bills should have done that and the Broncos wouldn't have had enough time to get the fg off.
