  1. I think he's a very good player, but not a fit for the Bills. They have plenty of pass catchers and are paying them less. And yea, there's no way they'd trade him in the division let alone to the Bills.
  2. I don't think that poster was 'taking a shot' at Beane about it. Beane makes mistakes and like I said, the thing that makes him great at his job is he recognizes it and makes moves to correct them. We can talk about mistakes made and still have a very high opinion of the people who made them.
  3. Wait, I thought we on to Elam to get a head start of Emdunds maybe not being here.
  4. His 40 time is is right in the neighborhood of these WRs: 1. Chris Godwin 2. Tyler Lockett 3. Deebo Samuel 4. Hunter Renfrow 5. Tyler Boyd 6. Devante Adams 7. Cooper Kupp So I'd be surprised if his speed is an issue. I'd be interested to know what lead you to believe he's slow.
  5. Contract year and he's looking to get paid
  6. For some reason, he's become Tremaine Edmunds to their fans, but he seems to be on the outs with their staff for some reason. They do prefer TEs who can block and catch, but I don't understand why they just don't use him like a slot receiver out of a 2 TE set or something. Given his receiving prowess, it seems like an offensive genius could find a way to use him. McDaniel feels to me like one of those guys who doesn't design an offense to his players.
  7. not a psychopath? Is he sure? Did his mother have him tested?
  8. Like in a suitcase? Maybe.. depends on how flexible he is..
  9. The problem wasn't calling them, it was more that it seemed to be the first and only answer they went to..
  10. Why wouldn't they use all the time possible before making the decision? They don't really gain anything by making it early.
  11. Regardless of the GM meeting with every player.. making sure to tell them how much respect you have for them as you sh*tcan them sounds like BS
  12. Yes, he played opposite Hall who had a disaster of a night. They didn't throw his way much.
  13. ..and if he manages to not **** himself on the field during a game... "Did Beane make ANOTHER mistake on the OL with Cody Ford?!"
  14. No.. wtf would you even suggest that?
  15. Yes! It was Jim Brinson. Loved him and Howard. Looks like Jim is in Arizona now.
  16. In 2020, the Jets had a scrimmage that was "starters" vs "backups" ie the starting offense against 2nd team defense and 2nd team offense against starting defense... ...the backups won.. they dominated the starters on both sides of the ball.
  17. watching Jets fans yell about "it's only pre-season!" is amusing.. like this won't be the same thing week 1 when they face the Ravens.
  18. They were a 4 win team with a head coach who personifies participation trophies. They don't just look bad. Even their biggest homer fans have their most heroic efforts finishing 3rd in the division.
  19. ..and Arthur Smith kicks a field goal in pre-season after getting inside the 10 indicating that he will be looking for a job in 2 years.
  20. Giants championship season down the drain now
  21. Beane: "Well, we never had to insert a study clause in his contract so.. that seems like a big step for you guys."
  22. The best GMs "miss" every single year. The good ones leave themselves enough flexibility to recover and get out of it with the highest return possible. Beane is very good at getting out of his mistakes.
  23. I always liked Howard back when I listened to WGR. Unfortunately, the station itself has been garbage so I haven't listened to him in a long time. If I had to guess, I'd bet a lot of people referencing the awful 'young' guys are talking about Schopp and Maddog. Like, me, personally, the guys I remember and enjoyed were like Larry Felser, Art Wander, Howard Simon, Brad Riter and I forget the name of the other guy that used to broadcast with Simon.. red headed guy with curly hair.
