This is the first offseason where I feel this regime has committed to improving the run game which if it something that other teams have to even worry about a little bit will open up quite a bit.
I think you evaluate the situation as it develops and decide what to do based on the circumstances at the time. Locking yourself into any particular "WE MUST TRADE BACK" scenario is awfully limiting.
A nugget that may or may not support this.. The last five Superbowls.. 9 of 10 teams had a running back that was drafted in the first 2 rounds (although it may not have been by them)
There's a million possibilities.. maybe he overthinks things and 'task saturation' will force him to make different decisions, maybe he'll rely more on others to make those decisions, it may not impact that part of the job at all.
That doesn't answer the question about why you think calling plays is going to make a difference in something you believe him to already be bad at when he's not calling plays..
If he's already 'bad' at it and hasn't shown "adequacy" over several years, what leads you to believe that he'd be better at it this upcoming season by continuing to not take on more responsibilities?
Mike Florio is TMZ. He asks incendiary questions that have no value. Anyone who makes the statement, "Florio raises an excellent question" should be ridiculed greatly.
