It's not a difficult concept. You can't give everyone reps and you can only evaluate so many players.
Seriously..it takes like 2 seconds of thought to understand it.
Why don't teams take QBs every year? duuuuuhhhh
The only thing I know about the QBs is this...if EJ doesn't win the job and sits for a year, there will be monumental bitching.
If he does win it, there will be monumental bitching.
I like that we got some physically gifted players, but, whoa people, rookies who have never played a game aren't upgrades over a player who has played and was able to produce somewhat at his position
Indeed. Bitching is the most and only aspect to being a fan. They don't really even need to play games. Just make roster moves so we can B word. It's why Fantasy Football is so popular.
I always like this idea and then the reality thwaps me in the face. You can't evaluate that many QBs and you're hoping that some team will want him. We can use cousins as an example, he had a brief, good showing and his trade value still likely isn't equal to where he was drafted. It's a tall order to say that a guy who would be a backup can show enough to net you a better pick than what you use before his rookie contract is up.
It's not the pick I'd envision, but I don't think you have to be creative to envision a use. A standard three receiver set with spiller in the backfield..have Goodwin lined up opposite of Stevie and TJ on the same side as Stevie and have them both run deep routes. That would pull the corner and LB/safety back and then like the two normal safeties back for over the top. That would mean a linebacker on Spiller and Single coverage on Stevie.
There are plenty of other threads on brad smith. It would be stupid to get rid of the guy just because you feel like he is overpaid. Stop being a dumdum
