  1. I am unsure how anyone can believe he had a poor season, last season.
  2. I'm hovering between 7-9 and 8-8. Mind boggling decisions from Gailey alone should be worth a couple more wins.
  3. Explained why. Please give specific examples of his play that lead you to this conclusion.
  4. Yep. It will only get worse. No one is going to point the finger at themselves and say, 'Hey, our shows suck'. Remember back when MTV played music and ESPN had sports coverage?
  5. Simple or complex..it requires execution. The Patriots can execute their offense with nearly flawless precision. If you only have one play and nobody can stop it who cares that you only have one play?
  6. Read the posts in this thread. People seem to believe that Manuel, Wilson, and Kaepernick are the only QBs in the league who can run it.
  7. Apparently, since almost 1/3 of the league didn't have 1-2 guys get caught.
  8. I don't think people understand what a read-option offense means.
  9. Interesting that only two of those teams had 'great' seasons.
  10. He 'won' on a technicality. It's not like he was tested and showed clean. They had 'chain of custody issues'. It's interesting for sure. Is Seattle taking banned substances to a greater degree than the rest of the league and reaping benefits or are they taking the same amount, but just bad at it?
  11. Incredibly unlikely. They haven't even taken snaps yet and there's a lot of rookies out there and some in very good positions to succeed.
  12. It's about execution. If you have five plays and can execute them perfectly, every time, you will do well.
  13. If that happened, there's a contingent on this board that would still B word about it being beginner's luck and he's one year wonder.
  14. I think you also have to B word about everyone drinks the kool-aid too
  15. I was curious about these guys about who their teams took from their 'area'. I'm not entirely sure how much 'southeast' or 'west' covers, but Monos was the Southeastern Scout for the Saints and Fisher the Western Scout for the Steelers. Saints: 2012 - Corey White (SS) 5th - Samson 2011 - Mark Ingram (RB) 1st - Alabama 2011 - Martez Wilson (OLB) 3rd - East Ill. (not sure if this would fall into southeast or northeast) 2011 - Nate Bussey (LB) 7th - East Ill. (not sure if this would fall into southeast or northeast) 2011 - Johnny Patrick (DB) 3rd - Louisville 2010 - Patrick Robinson (DB) 1st - Florida St 2010 - Jimmy Graham (TE) 3rd - Miami 2010 - All Woods (DT) 4th - LSU 2009 - Chip Vaughn (DB) 4th - Wake Forest 2009 - Stanley Arnoux (LB) 4th - Wake Forest 2009 - Thomas Morestead (P) 5th - SMU 2008 - Tracy Porter (DB) 2nd - Indiana (not sure if this would be Southeast) 2008 - Demario Pressley (DT) 5th - North Carolina St 2007 - Robert Meachem (WR) 1st - Tennesee 2007 - Jermon Bushrod (T) 4th - Towson St 2007 - David Jones (DB) 5th - Wingate 2007 - Marvin Mitchell (LB) 7th - Tennesee 2006 - Roman Harper (DB) 2nd - Alabama 2006 - Rob Nincovixh (DE) 5th - Purdue (not sure if that would be southeast) -------------- Steelers: 2012 - David Decastro (G) 1st - Stanford 2012 - Tony Clemens (WR) 7th - Colorado 2012 - Daid Paulson (TE) 7th - Oregon 2011 - Keith Williams (OL) 6th - Nebraska (not sure if this would be considered 'western' territory) 2010 - Stevenson Sylvester (LB) 5th - Utah 2009 - Bruce Davis (LB) 3rd - UCLA 2008 - Dennis Dixon (QB) 5th - Oregon 2008 - Mike Humpal (LB) 6th - Iowa 2007 - Ryan Mcbean (DT) 4th - Oklahoma St (not sure if this is 'west') 2006 - Mrvin Phillip © 6th - California Obviously, I'm not sure what type of input they had on the actual selections or clout they had or what. I just wanted to see what type of players came out of their generalized territories.
  16. there is no reason a human being should have to read James Walker's 'articles'
  17. Well, if Marrone doesn't work out, it would be just about the right time for Meyer to jump to the NFL! Hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good rant based off a totally false assumption!
  18. I used to love the 'The Neverending Story' when I was a kid. Now, as an adult, I love 'The Neverending Circus' that is the Jets.
  19. I know nothing about either of these guys. I feel like I should make statements about they guarantee success/failure of the Bills organization.
  20. Seems like it was incredibly cold: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/16/patriots-gave-love-two-options-retire-or-be-released/
  21. I agree with you, but Fitz was entirely Gailey's fault. Nix didn't just up and decide that they were keeping Fitz regardless. A coach needs to be actively involved on both sides of the ball. He needs to trust his coordinators, but you can't be the coordinator in chief, you have to be the head coach.
