  1. The off-season screams that to me. New staff wants to see what they have before making commitments. The contracts they did give are short term and team friendly.
  2. As I understood it, there was no 'official' offer because the numbers were too far apart. It also depends on what you mean by 'offer'. If you mean the Bills offered him a contract, then no. Levitre mentioned that they had talked with his agent.
  3. Sign Byrd at 6 million? Easier said than done. Byrd apparently wants to be the highest paid safety in the game. Thank you.
  4. People can mention it without it being 'sour grapes'. He's a 49 million dollar guard who's greatest asset is mobility. The Bills were trying to sign him so they likely weren't too concerned with any injuries.
  5. That wouldn't make sense for the Bills. They'd rather take hit this year then next year when cap space will be tighter.
  6. Byrd wants 9 million of that. Wood you could expect is going to be over 5 million. So 'the rest' isn't so much. Normal.
  7. It seems like a crazy leap. I can only assume that people making that comparison weren't around when Smith was on the team. It was well known that he held out to avoid training camp. Then showed, was in amazing shape and ready to go so no one cared. Smith was also hands down one of the top two at his position and a consistent player. Mind boggling that the two would be compared.
  8. I had a dollar. I spent it. It was on a Mountain Dew from the vending machine. It was worth it.
  9. Why do they have 'Nachos with that Cheese that I like' in the 6th round?
  10. You completely miss the boat that we have to make a big deal over standard camp fodder roster moves! They obviously portend great things like the Bills are secretly telegraphing the return of Elvis and 2-pac on a summer tour.
  11. 1 year? It hasn't been a year yet. I'm confused about the use of the term years.
  12. Mind boggling. Ravens fans worldwide are giving thanks you don't make decisions.
  13. Obviously, this poster is overly enthusiastic, but I love how everything in 'brandon's marketing. The guy must be some sort of magical sailor marketer. He just hires someone and all of the sudden he's buying advertising declaring everything is fantastic. So if whomever Russy hired was going to be kool-aid...then he should have hired no one? Your logic seems to be that of a woman going through menopause.
  14. Flacco made a crazy gamble and it turned out in his favor. He doesn't turn in an amazing post season and his deal isn't close to what it is now. Newsome made a wise move. The QB is the one player you can afford to pay and inflated price to if you lose the gamble. Newsome lost the gamble and won a superbowl.
  15. Not according to Rex Ryan. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/rex-back-reins-jets-defense-article-1.1293504
  16. The Bills have money to sign him. They're simply not going to be irresponsible. If you want Byrd at 9 million, you're going to lose someone. Just like when people were all, "PAY FRED". Imagine if we had given Fred 5-6 million a year like people wanted.
  17. I think this is overblown. I saw someone at Jets practice overheard Rex talking about Sanchez's happy feet in very excited tones.
  18. I wanted to chime in and say that it will be catelyn stark who will be reborn and surprise us all.
  19. I'm sure there are plenty of things you can hit the various NFL teams on in regards to dodging taxes. I'm sure there's a few irish corporations with no employees out there. This is a non-story though.
  20. You explained you 'feel' one way. Which is perfectly fine and understandable, that's what most of us do. It's just important to remember that our feelings aren't always correct.
