  1. Was this before of after Rex to Atlanta was almost a done deal?
  2. How about we just ignore what he says entirely? Why you people insist on giving him attention which is what keeps him employed?
  3. I disapprove, but I'm not against it. I don't like Ryan's mouth or personality all that much. I also am not a fan of his record as a head coach or the way he seemed to have no idea what was happening on offense. However, I hope he has learned something from his time with the Jets. If he keeps Schwartz and is 'hands off' a defense and actually is the head coach, not the coordinator in chief then I could see him having some success.
  4. It's all about the coordinators. Rex's big failing was he wasn't the head coach in NY, he was the defensive coordinator. I get the feeling they keep Schwartz and bring in a Roman/Trestman. If its Roman and he gets the Bills offense to the middle of the pack...he ends up being the top candidate next season. Schwartz has a top 5 defense again and he will start getting interviewed for coaching jobs again. Then Ryan can bring in Thurman to replace Schwartz.
  5. If Rex is smart, he keeps Schwartz and let him run the D and just provides help when Schwartz wants it. His failing in NY was that he spent too much time as the defensive coordinator and not enough time as the Head Coach. If we bring in a strong coordinator like Roman/Trestman than I like the hire. Rex is a player's coach and with strong coordinators on both sides of the ball with his focus on being the head coach than I think this could be a good hire. If the D performs in the top 5 again than you can bet Schwartz gets looks at coaching vacancies next year and then Ryan can bring in Thurman.
  6. because they are hiring a head coach...not a defensive coordinator. It could be difficult for Schwartz and Ryan to co-exist, but if Ryan is smart...he'd keep Schwartz and focus on being the Head Coach instead of what he did in New York where he was Coordinator in Chief.
  7. *IF* it happens, and if Rex is smart, he keeps Schwartz and focuses on being the head coach. If Schwartz's defense has another good year under Rex, he will get another HC opportunity then Rex can fill staff.
  8. I don't think the Bills are waiting on any specific person. I think they are casting a wide net. They may end up waiting on someone in the playoffs, but I feel that is not the case at the moment.
  9. I think you can safely say...if it's leaked, it's probably not exactly true.
  10. I've heard the Bills were very impressed that Ryan made it through the whole interview without humping anyone's leg.
  11. We have no idea what was actually being said about EJ. We have no idea what coaches feel about it. It's all conjecture at this point.
  12. Shula is a whiney little biatch. He's only doing it because that undefeated record. Holy lord the 72 dolphins are the most annoying thing ever
  13. Well, this afternoon it said the interview were in Shanghai.
  14. You mean the sentiment expressed one year later?
  15. who cares about their personality if they can get the job done
  16. Welcome aboard. Read the warning, don't drink turpentine.
  17. What I've gathered is that a lot of the players like him, but there seems to be a pattern of less than stellar opinions in his wake. Given that he has left his staff in a lurch by them still being under contract...I can't imagine the Bills will release them before they hire a new coach and that could make it difficult for them to find jobs. I don't think they probably are leaning towards it being one of those two faces.
  18. Bill Belichick (Browns, 1991-95; Patriots, 2000-) Jim Caldwell (Colts, 2009-11; Lions ’14-) Pete Carroll (Jets, 1994; Patriots, ’97-99; Seahawks 2010-) Tom Coughlin (Jaguars, 1995-2002; Giants, 2004-) Jeff Fisher (Titans, 1994-2010; Rams, ’12-13) John Fox (Panthers, 2002-10; Broncos ’11-) Andy Reid (Eagles, 1999-2012; Chiefs ’13-) Lovie Smith (Bears, 2004-12; Bucs, ’14-) Ken Whisenhunt (Cardinals 2007-12; Titans, ’14-)
  19. Wow, I'm just looking at how many names getting mentioned for coaching vacancies have this guy as their agent. This guy should be able to put together one heck of a staff. The ones I know of are: Doug Marrone Rex Ryan Jim Mora Jr. Adam Gase Seriously though, seems like a lot of candidates getting a lot of talk with questionable records have this guy as their agent. I know he's one of the major agents, but it makes me wonder if this guy is just seriously amazing at his job.
  20. Shame on you. Never let facts get in the way of a good Crusade. Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, and Cam Newton may also be related to this post.
