I would have celebrated those chamionships. I wouldn't deny they cheated though. I don't think Brady or Belichick push to the edge and aren't concerned if they go over especially with rules they *feel* are invalid.

I am not sure how this thread is relevant to this board. It does not mention the Patriots at all. It only talks about things relevant to the Bills and has a great breakdown of something related to Football.

I see how this information is unrelated to the existing threads on the punishment of the Pats. I am glad it is contributing to their being more threads on the Pats than the Bills on this board. I appreciate your diligence.

They're not being punished for the deflated balls. They're being punished because: 1. The intent was to circumvent a rule. 2. Lying 3. Repeat Offense. It was much harsher than I expected and I think in the end it will be negotiated down to 2 games for Brady and a 500k fine and a lower draft pick.

Wow..Pats fans are delusional. They are having serious conversations about Goodell having been with the Jets like 100 years ago as why Brady got punished. That's right. Goodell waited patiently...became commissioner just so he could suspend Brady. Hardly. They're a great team without Brady too.

No way does he get suspended for 8. I could see a 2 game suspension though if they hadn't won the Superbowl and will be the first game of the season. No way the NFL has the balls for that.

Kraft is such a douchebag. Say what you will about Goodell, but Kraft was beating the drum hard to have the Pats completely exonerated and the report doesn't do that.

It was this. Nothing that happened at the draft caused them to be fired. You keep the old scouts because there is not enough time for new scouts to do anything.

Except they're not stupid rules. He was in the draft. They didn't ban him from the draft. You think it's clear, but things get awfully murky real quickly. What if he is guilty? What if the *ONE* exception the NFL made ended up being a convicted murderer? Does the team that drafted get the cap space back? The next guy accused of beating a woman wants the same exception...why did you deny him, but allow someone who may have murderer? KD in CT made an excellent point as well that if they did break precedent, the lawsuits will start. How about players who feel like an injury decreased their draft value? Why don't they get an exemption? They didn't do anything wrong. There's no way anything comes out of giving this one players special treatment so he can earn some extra money.
