  1. I thought the byrd rule was you sat out with a fake injury to drive up your bargaining power in contract negotiations.
  2. Next on bring in everyone ever for a "looksie"....
  3. What the hell does watching him play have to do with anything? I've decided on my narrative that he's a superstar in waiting and that Beane is an idiot for not bringing him in for a looksie
  4. How could it triple the length of any previous playoff drought when the Browns were always right there two years behind? Then you have Tampa...Jets, bears who were all less then triple.
  5. Well, a lot of my interest in The Athletic died. I hope Timmah leaves his axe at Buffalo News
  6. I suspect this had almost nothing to do with it.
  7. It could be better. Taylor had one of the longest average times of holding onto the ball.
  8. Your recollection is way different than mine. People were not happy about giving up the extra 1st.
  9. Riiight. Those offseason stories are always really true. Given that he has several seasons of history of not being that impressive...I'm gonna go with history.
  10. I'm interested in their Sabres coverage. I'm thinking about signing up.
  11. Ok, and the point of this post is...? That leave over half of the contract guaranteed. This could be a 4 year 40 million dollar deal until we see the breakdown.
  12. Seems like a lot of fake money in that deal
  13. I'm sure the pro trainers have no idea what they're doing.
  14. Let the owners do what they want...but not the players?
  15. I don't get this post. Where is AJ McCarron in the pics? I just see his wife.
  16. If you can dodge a barbell then can dodge a ball
  17. Thank god this long national nightmare is finally over.
  18. I was told that paywalls solve everything though
  19. I hope the Bills never bring back cheerleaders
  20. Could the OP ban himself? Thanks,
  21. The athletic hasn't made a dime. They've simply secured funding which doesn't really mean much. In addition the list of paywall failures like the nytimes is very long. https://qz.com/1173033/the-psychology-behind-why-journalism-paywalls-still-dont-work/ https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20180506/11501539779/medias-paywall-obsession-will-end-disaster-most.shtml https://om.co/2018/05/04/the-paywall-quandary-how-many-subscriptions-does-one-really-need/?curator=MediaREDEF Paywalls aren't a magic goldmine. Providing good content and engaging your audience will generally give you a number of possible business strategies that don't involve a paywall. Just throwing existing content behind a paywall is not the panacea many believe it to be...this thread alone shows that most don't find the Buffalo News worth paying for and many, like myself, didn't read it when it was free so now even if they start providing really good content, I can't see it. They're going to have to go out of their way to attract people back into the buffalo news ecosystem...
