I read a lot of AFC East forums and there's some...familiarity with certain posters on this board from other forums. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the folks who are in the "Every single move the Bills make is the wrong one" crowd aren't actually Bills fans..

I think the idea that Dawkins will be replaced as LT has a lot more traction among fans than it does among the coaches.

What? Are you paying attention to the conversation? It's about a claim that a 'chip on the shoulder' makes players better. The other guy talked about Tom Brady being drafted in the 6th gave him extra motivation. I disagree that there's any "extra" a player can give because they fell in the draft. You seem to be replying to the wrong person and not replying to anything that was said as no one made the argument that metcalf and brady are on the same level so you might want to take the antidote yourself.

Ah, yes, TOm Brady is only Brady because he was drafted late. Nothing to do with his talent, drive, etc. He only became a great QB to spite the people who didn't draft him. Lol

"Extra Motivation" doesn't mean "motivated more"? "Extra goal"? Regardless of what terms you use, it's implying that the players has "more" to give in some way that they wouldn't have given if they didn't fall in the draft...which is ridiculous on several levels.

"Chip on his shoulder" in a way overplayed statement. It's basically saying that this guy wasn't going to give it all for the chance to earn millions and millions of dollars, but because he was drafted 15-20 spots later than some people thought he'd go...NOW he's going to give it his all..

Why is the leading scorer in the AHL not given the reverence and salary as the leading scorer in the NHL?

Here comes the meltdown! Beane was genius for round 1 and 2, but now he's going to be a disaster because he didn't take a WR in the 7th round.

The cost to move up would have been high. It would have required a 2nd rounder next season. Seem silly to give up a same round pick plus their 3rd and more to move up

It just took that plus a 2nd next season to move up 14 spots..
