I didn't blame Allen for the first half. That seems to be something you came up with on your own. There's plenty of blame for that. He did not play well in the 1st half. That's not actually in debate.

Does pretending he wasn't terrible earlier on actually change history? Granted, I think a lot of it had to do with playcalling as I think Daboll was not calling an offense that played to Allen's strengths.

In the past I haven't been sold on paying some guys on defense like Jairus Byrd or Gilmore. I think the cost of paying them the % of the cap didn't compare to the cost of replacing them. Didn't necessarily trust them to keep performing either. Pay Tre White.

Play calling kinda has to take into account your player's abilities.. In a game that's very much in doubt, close to field goal range...that is not a smart play call.

As bad as the offense has been...the penalties are just killers and it's been a problem for McDermott since he took over. I like McDermott, but he's got to get the players to play well and play well without the penalties (especially pre-snap which are entirely preventable without "slowing down" the players). He's also struggled with games like this where the team looks like has no idea how to play anymore. Usually they've resulted in blowouts, but this one is against the Dolphins so thankfully it's not out of reach. I think he's a good coach, but the things he's been bad at don't seem to be improving.

I've rarely seen someone be so wrong..that's impressive with some the posters on this board.

I think the efforts to instill "accuracy" and "ball control" are ruining him like they usually do with developing QBs. I'm going to give this QB the best chance by neutering everything he's good at!

If Allen doesn't improve throughout the rest of the season..they need to look at other options..even if it's just to give him real competition.

The Bills can't seem to find the right co-ordinator at the right time. We have an offense with the talent to run...and we barely do it. Then we'll get a co-ordinator who will run when we can't..

Hopefully..they can use today to work out some kinks

..but how would he solve the "pass rusher" need when it would be a stretch to believe he'd be able to replace any of the current players on the roster..and he would cost more..and if he somehow managed to return to form then he'd want a hefty mutli-year contract? Trading for him would make no sense...unless Atlanta is giving up something to get rid of him..
