Well, this thread made me sad because I don't work weekends so I took off Friday and Monday instead.

I have no idea what they were thinking making this guy a head coach. He may have a good mind for offense..I don't know. He's not mature enough, he's not a leader and he's emotional which aren't great qualities for a head coach.

When he was drafted I didn't understand how people though he had the makeup to be successful in the NFL...still don't.

I disagree. The reason he remains a good player seems to be related a lot to his mental problems. He can't handle not being on an NFL team. Sure, it works out on the field, but the guy isn't 'overcoming obstacles' to be a good player. He's a good player because of his mental disease.

It was a bad move, but a good risk. I'd rather have a GM that will swing and miss sometimes rather than one too afraid to make a move because they might lose out on the draft pick.

You can't define Sammy by numbers. He's a decoy and attracts so much attention over on the bench that without him Mahomes and Hill wouldn't be able to gain a single yard.

him being a decoy (on the bench mostly) is what allows that offense to function!!! Just you wait, he's only had guys like McVay and Reid coaching him. They aren't known for being great offensive minds.

Belichick is always ahead of the curve. The league had put too much importance on "serviceable" QB play that Great/Good QBs are sticking around longer to become average QBs. The pain of not having a QB broke the minds of the NFL team's personnel. Look at how many "backups" have come in and had success and then you have teams like the Chargers and Atlanta desperately clinging to guys who have lost the ability to carry a team.

Don't forget the Jets letting a 2nd winless team beat them up for their 1st win of the season
