As I've been saying, special teams is the unit that really got totally rocked yesterday leading to difficult positions for the offense and defense. They should have started kicking it out of the end zone on kickoffs and taking the touchbacks. Should have put punts right on the sideline to go oob and sacrificed a few potential yards to prevent returns. Throw in Daboll's unusual "commitment" to the run and the Bills were playing that game on hard mode for no reason.

The answer to that is not sinking to their level.

Regardless, have some class.

I'll take the Bills defense against the Titans offense over the Titans defense against the Bills offense 10 out of ten times. If the Bills offense can sustain drives and avoid 3 and outs, letting the defense rest then McDermott can do his smoke and mirrors show to make them look better than they are... playing defenses like this one that can force the Bills into short drives allowing them to dominate time of possession really exposes the weaknesses the Bills have on defense. A bad defense can also let the Bills get out to a lead putting the ball in the air more which plays more to the strength of the defense. I'm not saying the Steelers or Titans are an easy out or that they aren't very good teams, but Bills match up better against them than they do the Colts.

The Steelers offense is not as good as the Colts. They have no running game which plays into the Bills strengths. Their special teams are not as good as the Colts. The Titans defense has been atrocious. Utterly, atrocious and no where near as good as the Colts. Their special teams are not as good as the colts. The Ravens are better than the colts.

Am I the only one who was waiting for the refs to find a way to give it back to tampa after that fumble?

I said this way back at the beginning of the year, the NFL's sudden and secret decision to call only 'clear and obvious' penalties which has shown up in holding the most.. really affected the Bills who signed and drafted quicker, penetrating players who are affected by holding more than bigger lineman.
