    Stop being spoil sports. When I come up with a trade idea there is OBVIOUSLY a team out there that will make that trade. I've played enough 90s era Madden to know.

    There's a reason that you'll go home unhappy from the track if you take a bunch of longshot bets hoping to hit the lottery. This seems to be JD's strategy. Unfortunately, he confused making long shot bets with the steady and consistent talent evaluation that the Ravens had when he was there.

    I have no idea. I didn't watch a lick of college this year. My hunch is based on Beane's comments, their actions in FA, cap space and my general feeling that big ticket pass rusher free agent tend not to live up to their contracts. Those contract often have big cap hits and lots of dead money making them very inflexible and Beane's MO has been flexible contracts.

    I'm pretty sure they're looking strongly at pass rusher's in the draft and that was likely always the plan

    I try not to discount people who make claims out of hand, but the timing and nature of this with the media blitz by this lawyer (and his sleeze) seem suspicious.

    They've already started. Their secret agents convinced BB to keep Cam Newton. Weren't they one of the top against TEs before last season? With the same coverage LB and safeties?

    If you're talking about potential and they're not a rookie then it means they're inconsistent and there's nothing more useless in the NFL than an inconsistent player who "Flashes (oh, how I hate that word)" potential.

    People are way too harsh on Dalton. His play the last year earned a HUGE contract.. ..for Dak Prescott

    Not really. He was involved in a dispute over injury with the WFT who basically were implying he was faking the injury. He threatened retirement trying to get them to trade or release him.

    He basically hasn't played in two years, has an albatross of a contract and his interest in actually playing football seems questionable. Why?

    I don't think he was ever the 'decision maker' that people believed him to be. I think he more negotiates the specifics and dirty details where as things like years/cap/dead money/etc are more GM decisions. I think the drought brought on the temper tantrums lashing out anyone and everyone in the organization especially when their role isn't clearly defined to the public.
