It's never too early in Buffalo...
It's in My Blood replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we finally do it right this time? Drafting a DL with our top 3 pick is what Jamoron would do and will not turn our team around anytime fast. On the other hand , drafting our QB will. QB is the most important position in the NFL and young QBs need time to develop , while young defensive players have a better track record of coming in and being impact players right off the bat (see Ngata). So if we draft a QB in 2012 , look forward to 4 more years of a losing team , rather than 2-3 years away from being a contender. Draft a qb FIRST then address the lines in 2011 ,get your stud DL or OL in 2012, add a few key free agents , and in 2013 , we could quite possible have a team with a chance at the playoffs and beyond. -
Nice LBs just around the corner

Bring em' in. Our draft should go down something like this ... Round 1- QB Rounds 2/3 - Lines Remaining Picks - LBs -
I think the NFL should consider contraction.

What is the rationale behind this idea? jw -
Gaither on the outs in Baltimore
It's in My Blood replied to Erik's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If im the Bills , I take a look and maybe sign him , but it wouldn't affect the way I draft in April. I'd still be making the oline my draft priority , but Gaither coming in would be a plus. -
What GM / Coach tandem would you look to hire?
It's in My Blood replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gruden is so overrated. How many qbs did he draft/sign in Tampa? And this is the guy you want to run the bills. Gruden inherited Tony Dungy's team to win a superbowl and after that , nothing , caput , nada , zilch. I'd like to see Ozzie Newsome and John Fox running the show , but more realistically , I wouldn't mind seeing a Jim Harbaugh and Tom Telesco or someone from the Polian tree of player management. -
Even with Mcnally , our oline has been sub-par for the last decade. I think we're on the right path with Wood and Levitre but we got miles to go before our o-line is respectable again.

Carolina, Cleveland And Buffalo
It's in My Blood replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see all three ( Luck , Locker , Mallet ) coming out this year. Why anyone would risk financial stability for the rest of their lives by staying in college another year is beyond me. -
For those that want to draft something other than QB
It's in My Blood replied to drewfla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There always going to be the potential for a Ryan Leaf/David Carr/Alex Smith type pick , but I think the reward outweighs the risk. The Manning Brothers , Phillip Rivers, Donovan Mcnabb just to name a few are glowing examples of making QB top priority when you have a top 5 pick , only if there is a need at the position. Im all for shoring up the Oline , but I think if I'm Buddy Nix and I feel as though there is future All-pro QB available , I take him first and foremost , then address the oline. Trade back into the 1st if theres a tackle you like , or look to free agency to fix the lines. -
The Hank Bullough era returns to Buffalo
It's in My Blood replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately , the NFL is a "what-have-you-done-for-me-lately" business. 11 years without a postseason berth is inexcusable , period. -
Bills will TRADE top pick next year
It's in My Blood replied to Chris in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Where the hell do you get the time? -
Wade Phillips most likely is done unless he takes the Cowboys to at least the NFC title game. Your off base with the Romo prediction though. No way he's benched or cut this year. He's not the problem there. Phillips is just not HC material.

fix your link...its dead

See what happens when the Bills aren't winning...MADNESS!..........anyways

we're not the only team that has only hope...only 12 teams make the playoffs each year. 20 teams lean on hope for the next year. Granted , we are the team with the longest playoff drought , but these years will be forgotten once we finally win the big one.

Is Poz a cornerstone?
It's in My Blood replied to Buffalonian-at-Heart's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poz is a just another average MLB. If he walks ok , big deal , we can sign another. -
Are we really going to let Poz become a free agent?
It's in My Blood replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching Poz makes me yearn for the days when we had Fletcher and Spikes. If he doesn't resign for a very favorable deal for the Bills then good riddance. Overhyped and overrated. I think so many fell in love with Poz because hes a polish white dude playing MLB , bottom line. -
Anybody Think the Green Injury Is A Ploy
It's in My Blood replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Next time you post , try to put an original thought on the board. You sound like a 12 year old girl. -
What would firing George Edwards do? It wouldn't improve the defense. George Edwards is not the problem here. Our front 7 (Poz included) sucks. I'd keep K.Williams but thats about it. If it was year 2 or 3 of this coaching staff then yes , by all means GE is a goner . However , its year one of 3-4 year franchise makeover and firing GE would only cause our defense to regress (if that's possible). If your trying to send a message then I would seriously consider cutting Stroud to let the defense know that under-achievers will not be tolerated and that you better perform or hit the unemployment line. Thats a move that should be made here , releasing our rookie DC with very limited talent does nothing.

Again , its a rarity on TBD to read a post with such intelligence.

Mark My Words: Brunell Will Replace Sanchez
It's in My Blood replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edwards sucks. Ok we all know that. But when you can stick a qb behind a o-line like the jets have , a solid running game , and a defense that will rarely put the offense in tough spots , then you better believe the vast majority of 2nd year qbs should make leaps and bounds of improvement. Besides that , look at all the damn weapons he has .. the Jets are making it really hard for Sanchez to fail or even regress. And thats how it should be done. -
So...is it conicidence that the Patriots should become world champions immediately after 9/11? Or is it evidence of some deeper, Orwellian neo-con propaganda effort? I remember wondering to myself , " this is way to much of a coincidence." But then Brady backed it up with stellar play for the next 8 years. I really don't believe that the officials are able to decide 3 Superbowls. The patsies won because they hit the lottery in Brady. As much as I hate to say it , Tom Brady is the best qb to ever play in the NFL to date , but it Favre gets it done this year , then the honor goes to him.

Brett Favre might be in some hot water...
It's in My Blood replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not likely. The NFL has survived a superstar animal abuser , a presumed rapist , a presumed murderer , numerous steroid offenses , domestic abuse , weapon and drug charges , and a plethora of questionable behavior from their "role models". Brett Favre chasing his youth and betraying his wife...eh.
