Okay Mallet, make me a believer
It's in My Blood replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This really caught my eye Often regarded as just a thrower, Mallett also has an innate ability to read defenses. Wright recalls that Mallett once told a scout-team linebacker that he was out of position and that he needed to move over prior to the snap. “Ryan is really smart,” Petrino says. Fox Sports-Mallet -

If Cam Newton is there at 3
It's in My Blood replied to UCLA Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Newton is somewhat intriguing with Gailey's history of making average mobile qb's successful (K.Stewart and Fielder), but our defense is so poor that we really should not be thinking offense in the first 4 rounds. -
Mike Mularkey getting some looks...
It's in My Blood replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mularkey is a good coach and I wish we coulda hung onto him a little longer. Too bad he was smart enough to realize what a joke Donahue and Co. were and quit on them while his reputation was still intact. -
I agree with you , but with that being said , if Luck somehow manages to fall to 3 , do you pull the trigger?

Our o-line is really bad; Fitz's play made it better
It's in My Blood replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Second time I've seen you reply with this same exact quote. Either it seems to me you might have a personal problem with Fitz or you expect every NFL starting quarterback to play perfectly all year. BTW he did throw 2 TDS and no INT in that game. -
Don't Be Surprised If...........................
It's in My Blood replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wide Recievers and Running backs are the most overrated positions in the NFL. You win and lose in the trenches. We all know this after watching the Bills the last decade or so. Bowers , Fairley or Dareus must be the pick. Even if Andrew Luck somehow falls , I wouldn't be completely outraged if we grab him , as long as the D-line is addressed. -
Best laugh I've had all day...great stuff

2011 Buffalo Bills Roster
It's in My Blood replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for doing your part. -
Exactly. If our front 7 had any type of pass rush , our passing D could easliy challenge for the #1 overall ranking. Our DBs have managed to put up numbers good enough to be ranked 4th overall. Now , Im not advocating breaking the bank to resign Donte Whitner , but if Nix and Co. can manage to sign him to a reasonable contract , great. Like him or not , Whitner is a team leader and plays hard every Sunday , so IMO , it would be counter-productive to get rid of a guy who anchors the 4th ranked secondary in a pass-driven league and who is a leader on a young football team.

2011 Buffalo Bills Roster
It's in My Blood replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB-Fitz and Brown. - Fitz has earned another year , and frankly , I think he's got IT and replacing him as starter would be a step backwards IMO. That said , if Luck declares and somehow falls to us , we gotta pull the trigger. FB-The Black Terminator. RB-Jackson and Spiller. - Freddy is a gamer and Spiller is a rookie learning his way. Next year will be CJ's break out year. WR-Johnson, FA, Parrish, Roosevelt, Jones - Johnson is great and will only get better. Parrish showed some flashes of what could be , and Roosevelt has potential given more playing time. AJ Green will be probably be the "best available player" on the board when we pick , so if the Bills stick to that draft formula , we could be seeing AJ in red and blue next year. TE-FA, Stupar. Nelson - I like Nelson but Stupar hasn't shown much IMO . Isn't Owen Daniels a FA? OL-Bell, Levitre, Hang, Wood, Bell , ? - Levitre and Wood will continue to improve . Hang is getting a little old so it might be a good idea to draft a Center in the later rounds. I was somewhat impressed with Bell's play , though my expectations for him were low. Right tackle is a problem and needs to be fixed this year. Gaither or Justin Blalock from Atlanta might be worth a look. DL-, Kyle Williams,Edwards, Ray Edwards (Free Agent) , Fairley (1st round pick)- I know I'm probably dreaming having the Bills sign Ray Edwards , but signing him and drafting Fairley could fix our D-line almost over night. Robaire Smith might also be a cheaper option , but not a long term fix. LB-Moats, Poz, Free Agent , Maybin ( Harris/Greenway/Mike Peterson come to mind.) Poz is an average LB and Moats was a great find. Bringing in an athletic sideline to sideline LB is what we need. Perhaps year 3 is a charm for Maybin , though unlikely. CB-McKelvin, Florence, Corner , McGee.- No changes here. S-Whitner , Bryd, Wilson/Scot - Resign Whitner to a reasonable contract , if not , we draft a safety or pick up a mid-level tier free agent. Pass protection isn't a major problem. Defense was our main problem this year . IMO , if we shore up the DLine and LBs , we could see the playoffs next year. -

The early games weren't kind for coaches on the hot seat. Singletary led the way with his theatrical meltdown. But Eric Mangini and Fisher also lost and might have let any chance to keep their jobs slip away. It will be interesting to see if any more coaches join the list in a week. Buffalo's Chan Gailey hasn't had much time, but the Bills weren't competitive against the Pats http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/andrew_perloff/12/26/first.and.10/index.html#ixzz19HTfTl88 Yes , we got our asses kicked today , badly. But to insinuate that Chan could possibly be on the hot seat after today is stupid. The Bills have been competive against every team they played this year for the most part.

49ers fire Mike Singletary
It's in My Blood replied to hoopschad1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mike Nolan is the hottest coach available ,considering they blow it up in Miami, but he may be in line for another shot at a HC position rather than an assistant. Even though I'm not sold on Edwards as DC , we just simply do not have the right personnel. -
We have a LT and a capable QB
It's in My Blood replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense , defense , defense. This Bills team has proven all year (except w/ TE) that it can put up points even against good defensive teams. The need for a tight end isn't a priority , since Nelson has stepped up somewhat. Nick Fairley , Da'quan Bowers , or even Robert Quinn should be our main targets. -
Star Quality or blue collar?
It's in My Blood replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not? He has clearly outperformed Marshall , and Johnson only has 125 yrds and 2 touchdowns more than him. I think he has all the tools to become a star wide receiver. Stars in the NFL are playmakers , and thats pretty much all Stevie Johnson has done this year, which is make plays. -
Say Something Positive about the 2010 Bills
It's in My Blood replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something positive about the 2010 Bills... Fitz has overwhelmingly proven himself to be more than " just a career backup " Steve Johnson will be a star very soon Poz , in his 4th year , has shown he is a clear cut starting MLB Something positive about TBD ... I've been away from the board for awhile and its almost as if Im on a totally new forum. The level of optimism and overall renewed faith in the Bills from TBD posters is kind of remarkable in comparison to what the texture of the board was a couple months ago. Go Bills! -

When can we seen Brian Brohm?

So was Ryan Leaf , Akili Smith , Jamarcus Russell , and a handful of other "highly rated qbs". Bottom line is Ryan Fitzpatrick is our QB this year and deservedly so. -
Vikings players "hate" their head coach

I think the loss of respect for Childress started last season when it came out that he got on the team bus dressed up as a hooker with red lipstick and fishnet stockings. That visual still haunts me.
