What isn't smoke and mirrors in the NFL this time of year. April 28th can't come soon enough. I've had it with the draft hoopla .

Bottom line here. Look at the Steelers , and the patriots. Yes , they do make the occasional big free agent deal , but for the most part they are built through the draft and run by top personnel men. The Bills deterioration has nothing to do with changes in the amount of divisions or changes with the playoff system , but the stupid hires , free agent signings , and most importantly the horrendous draft choices over the last decade are what caused the Bills to be perennial bottom dwellers....that and the Flutie curse.

Its kinda different when Louies Pizza moves as opposed to a sport franchise that generates thousands of jobs and tax revenue , and to a lesser extent , entertainment and emotional value.

Mayock is in a league all by himself when it comes to analyzing prospects. But will most likely watch Boomer.

I think at this point , I really don't care who they pick. Whoever it is , it will be a top quality prospect.

I really think a deal will get done before the draft , if not , very soon after. Once the players start hurting for money , the pressure on the NFLPA to get a deal done will be huge. I was listening to a local am sports talk radio down here in south florida (560 am) and a current nfl player ( can't remember his name for the life of me ) said that he's already been approached by teammates asking for loans.

I would be first in line.
