Polian told a radio show that the Colts will struggle next year with a rookie QB, pretty much ending the Manning era in Indy as there is no way Peyton accepts a back-up role. http://sports.yahoo....p-colts-manning My question is how much is Manning worth at this stage of his career (in terms of trade compensation)? As a Bills fan, what would you give up, if anything, to bring in arguably the best QB of all time in his twilight?

I just threw up in my mouth. How unbelievably horrible.

ALOT LEARNED FROM 2011
It's in My Blood replied to robert cohen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey OP, one word: paragraphs! We don't need anymore small WRs, like Desean Jackson. I would love Vincent Jackson but would rather spend the dough on either/both Cortland Finnegan and Anthony Spencer. Besides, no way we sign two #1 receiver contracts and I'd rather pay SJ, who has impeccable route running skills and got the best of Revis this year. If Barkley/RG3 are both gone when we pick, I want WR Jeffery or best OT available since there is no Von Miller-esque LB in the top ten, and we would be reaching to take one. Then, round out the draft with all defenders. -

Typical gailey playcalling. If something works, stop doing it. -

ALOT LEARNED FROM 2011
It's in My Blood replied to robert cohen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we have a shot at Barkley/RG3, we must pull the trigger.I'm not yet ready to dump Fitz but hopefully we'll be picking outside of the top ten next year so now will be our chance to once and for all solidify the QB position with a true franchise stud. Fitz cannot hit the long ball and his accuracy is mediocre. I believe we can win with him but he is not a franchise qb. I would love to have a qb with a rocket arm and pin point accuracy and who would be better to sit behind than Fitz. -
Does JP Losman get the start next week?
It's in My Blood replied to billsfan76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As soon as the fish signed Losman I knew he would be the starter this week in Buffal. Kind of poetic. I want the Bills to win, however, I wouldn't be too pissed if we lost and improve our draft position. -
Who does Fitzpatrick remind you of?
It's in My Blood replied to poo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz has a serious lack of offensive weapons at his disposal. That said, after todays abysmal performance I might be beginning to agree with you. He's got 3 more games to make his case otherwise we must draft a QB first. -
Patriots* (and Refs) at it again

I've never seen more missed and phantom calls than this year. Maybe the lockout hurt the refs too. ;-) -
Who does Fitzpatrick remind you of?
It's in My Blood replied to poo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im not comparing the two but he reminds me of Favre. Both erratic qbs with a quick release. -
You do not need a dominant defense to win a championship, however, you need a defense to make the critical stops when the game is on the line, and the buffalo bills haven't done much of that at all this year. I do not believe that there is a set formula to win the superbowl , however, you need to be above average on 1 side of the ball and at least average on the other side.

You keep rehashing your agenda against Fitz. Bring something new to the table if you wish to continue creating threads on how you believe Fitz sucks. We get your point already. And no, he is not elite, just like 28 or so other starting qbs.

About Upshaw the Alabama OLB
It's in My Blood replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we had any resemblance of a pass rush our pass defense wouldn't be as weak as it is. My ideal scenario would be to sign Cortland Finnegan and Anthony Spencer (which is financially possible) in FA, draft Upshaw or Hightower 1st, WR in the 2nd and O-line 3rd. We have now upgraded our pass rush, solidified our secondary, gave Fitz another weapon and more protection, our IR'd players return, and our rookies are now more experienced. Playoffs! (Hey, it could happen ) -
Next Defensive Coordinator
It's in My Blood replied to dprobe78's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to see a defensive assistant from either the Steelers or Ravens, but it will more likely be Wanny, although Whaley has his ties in Pittsburgh so who knows. However, I do have an agonizing feeling Edwards will be back. -
Of all the above quarterbacks you've listed, I see only two who potentially be able to take this Buffalo Bills team to the playoffs this year. You missed the point Era. THIS TEAM HAS NO DEPTH. Look at Brady's,Rodger's,Flacco's,Big Bens,Daltons,Eli's,etc. teams and what do they all have in common? Depth. If a guy goes down, they have another to step right in and contribute. They also have solid defenses, except the Pats who boast arguably the best qb of all time. Besides the Patriots, if Fitz played on any of those aformentioned teams,he would be headed to the playoffs. You and so many others are blind.

You usually see that in the 36 hours immediately after a Bills win or loss, fans come in droves to either condem or praise the team. Then, after the 36 hour mark has passed, posts with overall higher intelligence and unbiased commentary begin to appear. It is a waiting game.

We are not paying Fitz too much. He is a top 15 quarterback right now with potential to be a top 10. Sorry, but Tom Bradys and Aaron Rodgers do not grow on trees. I firmly believe we can win a championship with Fitz at the helm. We are a young rebuilding team who lacks depth at key areas. I do not understand why some supposed Bills fans cannot understand this. We were never built to win the SuperBowl this year, get over it. Im so sick and tired of the ridiculous posts from fair weather fans who have no clue on how to build a contending football team.

A Few Thoughts About The Game
It's in My Blood replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spiller was geared for an excellent outing. However, Chan decided to basically stop running the ball. I wanted to pull my hair out seeing the amount of times we passed on 1st and 2nd downs. All in all, I liked what I saw out of Spiller and today he gave me hope that he continues to improve over the next 4 games. -

So you'd take Orlovsky and the Colts or Gabbert and the Jags? Your a joke. -
The only coach I want gone is Edwards. Our offense has consistently put up points while our defense has consistently lost us games.

Rex Ryan took the Jets to two straight AFC Championship games in his first 2 years. So yes, it can be done but more likely new regimes undergo growing pains before experiencing sucess. -
At least the Offense did one thing good
It's in My Blood replied to eSJayDee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking the same thing. Terrible clock management. We should of been running no huddle from the first snap on that drive. Chan's decision making ability has been terrible these past 5 games. Its very unsettling.
