  1. Its about time NFL GM's start making more trades. I dont understand why the NFL in particular is so finnicky when it comes to trading players...perhaps a lot of it has to do with scheme....Every team in the NFL has players that arent performing to their organizations expectations, you would think they would be more willing to swap these guys and give them a change in scenary.

  2. LeSean McCoy has been one of my favorite non bills in the entire NFL for years now...the dude has single handedly helped me win lots of $ in fantasy football.

With that said, this trade STUNS me.

Maybe the bills know more about kiko's rehab that we do. Also, no report ever came out describing exactly HOW Kiko tore his achilles...perhaps the Bills know something more about his off the field persona than any of us do.

With all that being said....I still dont know if I make the deal...Kiko was so damn promising his rookie season.

  3. AFC scout: “He’s a system quarterback. 3-, 5-, 7-step guy. Can’t create on his own. Panics under pressure. Gets flustered easy. I don’t think there’s a quarterback in the draft worthy of a first-round pick. I’m dead serious. None of them are worth it.”

AFC scout: “I don’t like him. He’s a clone of Harrington and Boller. They all throw the same way. What have those guys done? Nothing. If you take him in the second round, fine. Heady guy. They do a marvelous job of coaching quarterbacks there. I don’t think he’s as good as the top quarterbacks coming out last year.”

These comments were in reference to: AARON RODGERS

  4.

Thanks Wikipedia. I'm not saying he may not be a decent replacement to Searcy, but the "dropped in the draft" excuse at this point in his career is hogwash. Regardless of where he was drafted, he was still cut a year in a half after being drafted, which raises a red flag right there in my mind. Wouldn't that mean it would be worse if a second or third round talent was cut after a year? Typically (with some exceptions) teams at least give guys 2 years, regardless of the round.

One game doesn't make a career.

No crap. Im just saying that the bills are going to let him walk and Rambo is going to be the guy replacing him. Calling it right now. Feel free to tag this post and pull it up after training camp.

  5. Height: 6004 Weight: 211 40 Yrd Dash: 4.53 20 Yrd Dash: 2.60 10 Yrd Dash: 1.56 Vertical Jump: 34 1/2
    Broad Jump: 09'09" 20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.26 3-Cone Drill: 6.94

It was reported by Sports Talk 980 on April 29, 2013 by Steve Czaban that the reason Rambo slipped so far in the NFL Draft was because of two failed drug tests in 2011 and 2012. Had the tests not been failed Bacarri was projected to have gone as high as the second or third round in 2013.

Good size, good speed. Hes only 24 years old and when he got to play when Searcy went down he stepped up and intercepted the best quarterback in the NFL (Aaron Rodgers) twice:

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000443429/Bacarri-Rambo-intercepts-Aaron-Rodgers

Im calling it right now, this guy is why we are going to let Searcy walk.

  6. Here's somebody we might be able to get. Though he only has four passes going for over 50 yards in the air, maybe with an off-season strength and conditioning program, he might get to improve on that.

EJ looks pretty sweet in that highlight video. Of course if you made a lowlight video it would be a disaster.

We really did a poor job of giving him the best chance to succeed in his first two years. After watching the video is pretty apparent that EJ thrives off of play action passes....too bad the bills never could get a run game going the last two years.

  7. Cincy Wash Chi and Arz do not need QBs.

And Philly is out because of scheme.

That leaves Buf Jets Hou Ten TB and Stl.

My guess Is Stl Hou or Buffalo would be the real possibilities. Didnt Manning want to stay in the AFC when he went to Denver? I remember that begin the rumor.

WASH definitely needs a QB cuz theyre axeing griffin. I can see your argument on Chicago (IMO Cutlers a bum and he should be cut too). Arizona cant count on palmer 100% returning from a 2nd torn ACL so theyre a tossup.

  8. Do I think his arms pretty shot? Yes

Do I think he's got max 1-2 years left in the league? Yes
Is he still better than 2/3 of quarterbacks in the league? Yes
Would he immediately make the bills a legit superbowl contender? Yes

As other have mentioned, Peyton is no longer capable of willing/carrying his team to the next level. BUT, if you give him a solid running game, a great defense and special teams, and ask him to throw a max 30-40 times...he is more than capable of managing a game.

I think the Bills are a very attractive option for many reasons.

Teams that dont need a QB because they have one or a young one they are developing:
NE, Mia, Jax, SD, OAK, KC, Balt, Pitt, Dal, NYG, DET, GB, MIN, ATL, CAR, NO, SEA,

    Teams that need a QB:
BUF, NYJ, CIN, HOU, TEN, PHI, WAS, CHI, TB, ARZ, STL

Of the above teams only CIN, HOU, BUF, STL, ARZ field good defenses. Arians likes the downfield passing game so ARZ is out, CIN probably sticks with Dalton they are out.

SO there you go: HOU, BUF, STL are really the only players for Manning if he gets cut by Denver.

  9. RG3?

A letter from the Redskins to their "premium fans" does not list Robert Griffin III as part of their nucleus.

The Washington Redskins thank you for your continued loyalty and support," read the letter. "Head Coach Jay Gruden, new General Manager Scot McCloughan, and Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry will lead a nucleus of Ryan Kerrigan, DeSean Jackson, plus Pro Bowlers Trent Williams and Alfred Morris. The Redskins are poised to rebound next season!" Just two years ago, RG3 was collecting his Rookie of the Year award and was named to the Pro Bowl as the face of the franchise. Now he heads into the offseason not even knowing if he'll be back in Washington.
  10. Maybe Peyton Manning is considering telling the broncos to release him or he will retire? Honestly the only reason why he will keep playing is if he believes he can win a superbowl...after the two years the broncos just had does anyone really think they have a make-up of a team capable of winning it all?

    ....i dont think so

What better way to ride out your career than moving into the division of your rival and playing for a team that wants to play great D and run the ball. Keep him upright, minimize his # of attempts and let him manage the game rather than go out and win it.

  11. Seahawks actually made me happy the Pats won.

I guess i am old school, but while i hate the Pats , i do respect them. I have the exact opposite thoughts for the Seahawks.

The only person that has any semblance of class on that Seahawk team is Wilson. Miraculously , Lynch might be next closest.

The TD celebration, Sherman talking trash on Revis, the fight, justifying the fight afterwords.....and their fans seem to be just as classless as their team.

Shame Wilson is so young as that team will always be competitive while he is there....but damn i want that team to go away

He was saying 24 as in "we are up 24-14 now". Collinsworth and NBC tried spinning it to make him look like he was taking a shot at Revis instead

  12. There is no way that dude did not get conussed on the blow to the head he took going over the middle. He pretty much fell over himself a few plays later when they were moving toward the goalline. Then he had the drop fade in the corner and he hit the back of his head and I thought for sure it was lights out.

Props to him, but he was clearly playing with a concussion. Cant say I blame him though, he was in the middle of the moment of a lifetime.

  13.

Just because in ten years it will be legal all over the country doesn't mean an employer has to accept it and let their people do it. Employers can still hold a zero tolerance on drug use and submit employees to random tests. So even if they legalize it, the NFL can still say it's a banned substance and he's still screwed.

    I understand by its draconian.

Smoking pot on your own time has nothing to do with how you perform at your job. Drug testing is a joke. You can literally blow lines of coke and be clear in a day or two. Same thing for heroine, esctacy, methamphetamines....you name it. Smoke pot and you can have it in your system for a month. So really when you drug test an employee all your really testing for is whether or not they smoke pot.

Times are a changin' and thank god.

  14. That was actually a really nicely written letter by Josh Gordon and I agree with him completely

Times are changing and 1/4 of all US adults have either smoked or do smoke weed, it is becoming legal in many states and within the next 10 years it will be legal all over the country.

When I was younger I used to think that Ricky Williams was an idiot for smoking pot and jeopardizing his playing career, but you know what, he was ahead of the times. This criminilization of a drug that has way less negative impacts on society compared to alcohol needs to end.

Josh Gordon should be allowed to come back in the NFL and it is such hypocritical bull **** that the league is going to suspend him for consuming alcohol when they literally SMASH IT in your face during the games.

  15. I honestly think Hughes is fools gold and a bad investment. His production is tied to the 3 elite guys he got to play with and his stats are a product of their play. I do not think he is a #1 DE and capable of carrying a pass rush for a team on his own.

Tag and trade and get a pick if possible. Otherwise let some other team overpay him and use the $ to sign a replacement and maybe a starter on the O Line.

  16. 5 years veteran who backed up Drew Brees and Alex Smith. Got to learn the ins and outs of both Sean Payton and Andy Reids offenses. Limited in game experience.

Played week 17 verses the chargers and went 16/27 for 157 in a win. In 2013 started 1 game going 20/30 for 200 yds 1 TD.

Good mobility. Limited arm talent, more of a game manager type. Never has been given the starting job and should be looking for one on the open market if he takes himeslf seriously (What competitor doesnt want a shot after 5 years). Could come as a cheap option for competition for EJ. Thoughts?

  17. When the spygate scandal broke out their were rumors that the patriots snuck in and video taped the Rams walk through prior to the superbowl. Everyone and their dads knew that the Rams had way more talent than the Pats did, and the only reason why the pats were able to keep the game so close was due to the fact that they physically manhandled the rams recievers, including tons of illegal contact (which wasnt a penalty at the time). The play that sticks out to me the most was Ty Laws interception right when the rams were inside the 10 yardline...He jumped a hot route and was off to the races.....I wonder if he already knew it was coming because of "film study" leading up to the game.

I remember actually rooting for the pats in that superbowl....my how times have changed.

Good thing Roger Goodell decided to destroy all the tapes (NOT!!!!)...because Im sure if they got leaked out the NFL would be the WWE of sports leagues in everyones eyes.

  18. They probably want him to stick around because EJ really likes him...remember when he would call plays up in the box and then he switched to actually being on the sidelines so he could talk to EJ in person?

I have no problems with keeping hackett. I think he jumped up the coaching ladder to fast....he did an OK job as coordinator but I like his enthusiasm and optimistic personality so why not bring him back as QB coach
