2 pro games, 2 hugely negative plays, with nothing of value contributed. I see nothing worthwhile here, lots of guys have physical skills, few !@#$ up in such spectacular fashion immediately upon getting playing time. I'm just wondering what form of professional death would be most worthwhile for the franchise.

Bills-Broncos Official Game Thread
joey greco replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would make sense if this franchise had displayed the quality of N.O. or Indy the last several years. Or if I hadn't read the same apologist bull **** on this very board during every "meaningless" preseason game for near a decade and a half. This offensive line has been manhandled again. Physically dominated. By mostly second-stringers. It doesn't matter what the line is running, who's gameplanning or any other bull **** apology. Dismissing the obvious in the manner you are applauding is downright embarrassing. -
Who is Patrick Moran? Supposedly major news.
joey greco replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL. Yea, him and Mike Vick were all set to do a big new ad campaign right up until some blogger, read by several, wrote this story. Sounds like a huge payday, get Cellino and Barnes on this one. There's more to this somewhere. I wouldn't take Merriman's word as the last(and it's hilarious how many have). Trad media types are obviously looking into this, and haven't confirmed or refuted the story yet. The team and league haven't said jack **** on the record, and I'm sure they've been asked. I'm still waiting for someone believable to speak on it. -

That doesn't address confiscation, only that he wasn't in possession of anything regulated by a criminal statute. That leaves a wide variety of things the NFL has either banned or would frown upon. The saving grace here is that it occurred prior to the CBA so the NFL is probably powerless to do anything if his tests stay clean. Who said nothing was confiscated? Merriman didn't. -

So why was the substance confiscated if it was just a "supplement"? -

Really? He writes for a site that depends entirely on Buffalo sports fans for hits. If this turns out to be false, he loses his entire readership forever. Over. Done. 0.0 hits forever. He's been doing this for a long time based on his article listing. No matter how many hits this story gets, he's done if its not true. There's zero upside to making this up. None. So either he's literally insane or this theory is garbage. -
Ah, the Edenic peace of the pre-1967 Middle East. Those were the days. Of course, even then there were large numbers of Arab terrorists targeting Israel. They used to be known as the fedayeen. The global radicalization of 60's just provided them case-studies in becoming the organized, well-financed groups that we know by name today. Related question-in terms of the Mid-East peace process, has there ever been a concession by Israel to the Palestinians that has been met with peace rather than with goal post moving? Serious question.

2 ways to build: Draft & $
joey greco replied to Cal Bill's Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
!@#$, I can't believe we didn't get Bruce Miller and Greg Romeus. They would have looked so sweet on the practice squad. Now we'll just have to sign completely comparable players from the UDFA pool to do that. Dammit But yea, until the Bills actually resign their own good veterans and become competitive for worthwhile free agents they will not be in the running for the Super Bowl. I don't see the point of it at this stage of the rebuilding process, but I think the team will be good enough and show enough progress this season to sway Ralphie to open the wallet next offseason. -
3rd Day went awry - rescued with 400 lbs of manimal
joey greco replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you're not taking your BPA in rounds 4-7 you're doing it wrong. None of these guys should be projected to start anytime soon, so it's idiotic to be drafting by position. It's a place to take projects-not fill positions of need. Quit sperging over nobodies and never will-be's. -
No, I insist that the entire draft has been ruined by this enormous reach. Guys on tv saw him do stuff and saw him run around in shorts and said that he should be taken in the fourth round. They are obviously the best in the world at evaluating talent, that's why they're on tv. I also read a blog and the guy said something about Ryan Mallet AND THE BILLS DIDN'T LISTEN!!!!!!111!!1!!!111!!!EVEN AFTER THEY WORKED WITH SHEPHERD AT THE SENIOR BOWL!!!!!!THEY CAN'T POSSIBLY KNOW HIM AS WELL AS A GUY ON TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
But Mike Mayock rated our third round pick as a fourth round talent. This enormous reach qualifies this draft as a total disaster.

Whats your dream 1st round
joey greco replied to karl malones other son's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously, read, comprehend, then post. The Bills have traded back into the first round, as Mr. Goodell alluded to, at least two times recently. Those trades, back into the first round, brought us JP Losman and John McCargo. Thus the reticence to try that strategy again. -
How Long Before The Nuclear Power Plant Situation..
joey greco replied to Dante's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Far more opposition to actual real-world wind proposals comes from environmentalists than anyone else. All of you dolts need to get with the program and understand that any system of energy creation is going to have costs and getting to a rational cost/benefit analysis rather than sticking your fingers in your ears and screeching about BIG OIL, NIMBY, and all the rest of the blather. Huge reason the message has lost so much power since the 70's. -
Paula Deen shares one of her most sought after recipes: Seriously? Some of the comments are pure gold. I used to love Food Network. Mario Batali, David Rosengarten, Tony Bourdain, Jack McDavid...!@#$, even Bobby Flay, as much as I loathe him, were interesting people and had great things to say and share about cooking. Now the network seems to be all about shrill, catchphrase spewing troglodytes who consider operating a can opener or shredding a store bought rotisserie chicken to be a great recipe. Almost as bad as what's happened to the History Channel.

I've been working on getting more fit since I hit 40 after spending my 30s basically sedentary. What has worked for me (40 pounds down and counting) and fit in with the rest of my life is couch to 5k for cardio and "stripped" starting strengthfor lifting. What I like about these are that they are both 3 day per week programs. They can be done in 30-45 minutes per day, so I can fit them into my schedule easily enough, and combine them both into one day if I have to (although I avoid it if possible). Everything is laid out so I don't have to think too much about it, and there are programs that link to them when you're ready to move on. C25K also has a number of podcasts available which really help and keep things easy on your end. If you try starting strength I'd recommend trying weights much lighter than you think you can lift at the beginning, just to limit the inevitable muscle soreness for the first couple of workouts, plus its much easier to add weight than to get hurt and have to start all over when you heal. As has already been pointed out, YMMV, everybody responds differently to exercise and different nutrition plans, but this worked wonderfully for me. In general though, eat plenty of protein, knock out processed carbs, and be active most days of the week and you'll improve your fitness level pretty quickly.

Trent Edwards to have a new team by 4pm tomorrow
joey greco replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
get out And here, class, is a prime example of the power of denial. It's a mysterious power of the mind to ignore the evidence right before their eyes. Somebody get this guy a tape of Sunday's game. hamtenp obviously hasn't seen it yet. He doesn't know that it's possible for a guy not to play like a gutless wonder despite the guys playing in front of him. -
Randy Cross calls out Lee Evans, Bills WRs

Randy Cross calls out Lee Evans, Bills WRs
joey greco replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's great. He's a really good analyst. Next segment he can explain how Lee Evans can catch all the throws that aren't being made to him, thus earning his check. He was targeted one time all day, tough to make a lot of catches that way. The next person that holds Randy Cross up as some kind of brilliant football mind should just hit themselves in the head with a hammer instead and save us from being exposed to his idiocy. -
If Bills beat PATs, they will be tied with them

This is a terrible attempt at trolling. You have to start with a premise that is somewhat believable, hth. -
Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now
joey greco replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, if you're going to make an appeal to authority, you really shouldn't make it Randy Cross. He's the worst, and rarely has any clue what he's talking about. Unless the subject is Tom Brady's favorite methods of being fellated, then yeah, sure, you've got a point. But on football? No, you're just embarassing yourself holding Randy Cross up as some object of expertise. -
You're right, until you factor in Trent Edwards the math does favor going for it over the infinitesimal chance of a fluke play. Once you include that level of ineptitude, the odds favor giving the other team points.
