  1. likely the best available. I like this because you are getting high end talent that has had some issues in the NFL, but has starting experience. I see this as a vote of confidence in the OL coach to get him straightened out.
  2. he had an impressive college career judging by Wikipedia. Seems like a great PS pickup. Not sure if he played much in the NFL.
  3. that LB we just picked up was a captain in Houston. I think Edmunds was a captain. Means nothing, really.
  4. Yikes. Didn't realize he was that old. Loved reading his stuff on the NFL app and other places. RIP.
  5. same. First, this is awesome and thank you for setting up again! But with survivor, i'm getting either "league does not exist" or "wrong password". Any advice (beyond trying to make it past week 1!)
  6. I can't imagine Milano couldn't handle it, or that it would take away from his play. He knows the defensive plays and alignments, he would just need to communicate them. If not him, give the Dot to Poyer or Hyde and let them communicate, then just put the best LB next to Milano. Enough with trying to find a player who may not play as well but who can communicate.
  7. the amount of OL cuts is surprising. May be targeting 1 or more.
  8. that finishing 8th is a successful season. When you have a QB of Allen’s caliber, and a future HOF WR, expectations are much higher than 8th, IMO.
  9. Elam and Basham were the same mistake: chasing position of need over best football player available for your team.
  10. I never understood that quote. If he thinks humans should not play it, why is he making a career in it?
  11. 9-8 seems waaay off, and the Pats have a better chance of finishing last than first.
  12. he was a puzzling pick to start with. A press player for a zone D. Typical of Bean targeting a position and ending up with suboptimal value in a round (ex Basham). I also agree with above posters who feel we should play a more aggressive D, and that would fit Elam’s skillset.
  13. he’ll fit right in at RT here!
  14. So sorry for your loss. RIP Shawn.
  15. his cuts during the route look almost Diggs like.
  16. any discounts offered or tricks to getting them for Sunday Ticket for non You Tube TV subscribers?
  17. when did he break the ribs? I thought it was sorrness? Did he get hit again, or x rays?
  18. Good thought, but word around here (Pgh) is that it was neither of those things. Sounds like a domestic gas leak perhaps. Note: if you smell gas, get out ASAP and call 911. Not sure if there are natural gas alarms to notify of issues when sleeping. EDIT: looks like they exist. May get one. Type in natural gas alarm at Home Depot, etc. Just a terrible tragedy in both places. Prayers for all involved and their families, etc.
  19. also, what do you gain by starters v. backups. Play your starters vs. another team for a quarter or so.
  20. I think Williams is the MLB by the end of the year. He has the physical and football IQ talent. If he's not, it's either a terrible pick or terrible coaching.
  21. I think we start with a short passing game to keep the Jets from briniging the house, then hit a few long ones. Also mixing in the run. As others have pointed out, the Jets OL is bad. Oliver in particular needs a good game. I think Floyd brings it. Low scoring due to our offensive strategy, I could see like 17-9 or something. D will bend but not break from the Jets run game. Yes, it will be. Hopefully Floyd, et. al. are there to give him some hugs!
  22. thanks. interesting stuff and analysis here. Did the OL have the Steelers starters when Barkley and Allen were in? I don't know, that's why I'm asking! I'm a bit worried that the intense focus on Allen staying in the pocket more could cause more mistakes like what the video alludes to. Allen does need to stay in the pocket a bit more, and likely this is a function of it being a preseason game and being told to not do anything to get hurt. Regular season will be interesting, and a concern is this continues.
  23. Agree with not playing starters, but woof, did they look just as lackadaisical and awful as they did in Cincy. That's bad, and Brown in particular is a cause for concern. It's like we fixed the IOL and the OTs suddenly became a bigger liability. OL wack-a-mole. And wtf is Tasker talking about playoffs for? Playoffs? Yeah, those went really well the last 2 years. So many excuses for not winning by some of these guys. I could care less about the regular season stats for Dorsey, et. al. Winning in the playoffs is what matters. We can't seem to figure that out. Hopefully this year with the vet additions, particularly on D, and McD taking over with hopefully more aggressive play calling, we can do that.
  24. did none of the idiots in the fight get kicked out. ?
