I’d have more confidence in this if he hasn’t been playing this way over the course of about a full season 17 games. He is selfish in his play not letting players who receive the open short routes players use their skills to advance the ball. And he clearly is having trouble reading D’s or understanding the play calls.

Two words: sports psychologist. JA is all over and has been 1/2 of last year and into this year. The play calling is not great, but it’s not why we lost.

wrt running, just have him slide. tell him run all you want, but slide unless the game is on the line. Also, he is likely to get hit a few times sliding and its 15 free yards. bingo on the last part. the “it’s a good D excuse” is bonkers. Guess what teams you play in the postseason or SB will have. a good D.

our QB may not have a brain to switch with anyone. He looks the same as he has every year sans 2021. He cannot read a defense, cannot slide, continues to throw "hero ball" into triple coverage when there is zero reason to do so, and abandons what the D is giving him. He is MILES behind Mahomes and Burrow at this point. He pulled this same garbage against the Jets and Minn last season, and in the Bengals playoff loss. He is the epitome of a "dumb jock" at this point. JA excuse is stubbornness and laziness? this, exactly. JA has failed to improve. If this is his ceiling, it's simply not good enough.
