fake, it should have him fumbling the gun
-
he's had this issue since the middle of last season. It's systemic by this point. If he doesn't snap out of it soon, Dorsey and/or McD need to go, because ultimately with a talent like JA, the coaching staff needs to figure out how to maximize it.

Week 2, Rayduhs v. Bills - Predict the Score
RyanC883 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lots of people forgetting that our run D is terrible, the Raiders have Josh Jacobs, who can make you miss or run through you, D. Adams who is better than G. Wilson, and a decent pass rush. This will be a close game. I think the Bills pass rush is good enough to make the Raiders mostly run. We can't have JA turn the ball over. I see the Bills eeking this out in a low scoring game: 17-10 -
Trotter is just upset because he was fired for most likely being a giant pain in the a&&. He appears to fail to realize he worked for the NFL, thought he was an investigative or "actual" journalist. See this article: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/reporter-claims-nfl-tried-to-cover-up-handling-of-damar-hamlin-situation/ar-AA1gLY2U?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=80447823e6bb440e98d9484c09f1f079&ei=48 Terry should 100% sue. Trotter seems like a moronic blowhard.

I think terrain is part of it, property acquisition is part of it (that can be overcome, but no one likes eminent domain), and the EPA may be another part (I work with municipal governments, trying to build a freaking road is a hassle--there is an endangered bug somewhere). If it's just terrain, PIT to Buffalo would be easy as it's mostly flat and could have a stop in Erie that branches west to Cleveland. Then connect PIT to Columbus, Cleveland, Chicago, and then down and around the Midwest to Dallas, Detroit, Indy, etc. All flattish terrains. Could setup a similar system out west. Once they prove their worth, more expensive connections could be built to get through mountains.

Consolation prize - the Jets are screwed
RyanC883 replied to dickleyjones's topic in The Stadium Wall
true, but I think the Jets have so many young guys on rookie contracts that even trading a 1st for Winston makes sense at this point. They won't be able to draft one next year, and Rodgers status is up in the air. Or, PIT may be willing to part with 1/2 of its backups for a 3rd next year and 2nd the following (Jets lack a 2nd next year)> so will the RBs and G. Wilson, who just needs the ball near him. -
Buy: Floyd. Great pickup, provided pressure on QBs and takes pressure off Groot. Also, Benford, and Torrence. Dude looks the part of a 10 year OG for the Bills. Hold: Allen. What an absolutely terrible game, which follows upon similar terrible games from last year. If we had almost any other QB who started last week we win that game. He was that bad. Sell: OTs. Yes, they played the Jets, but they looked awful.

Consolation prize - the Jets are screwed
RyanC883 replied to dickleyjones's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets are screwing themselves by not trying to get another starting caliber QB (won't get elite, but game-manager level). They are out there: Winston, Dalton, trading to PIT for Mitch or Rudolph, Colt McCoy, MInshew, Mariota, T. Bridgewater, Keenum, Brisett. At least 1/2 of these QBs are better than what they have now and could serve as a competent game manager, which is all the Jets offense needs to push for a deep playoff run. -
postgame song right there.

Was Allen concussed? Speculation with some circumstantial evidence.
RyanC883 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was upset at the lack of flag, and the lack of response from the OL on that play. But no, I don't think he was concussed and dazed the rest of the game. He would have gotten pulled by McD if he was actually dazed. -
what did she say?
-
Agree that JA will engage in coach speak, but interesting he is following through on what he was taught about that but not about sliding, reading defenses, progressions, taking what the D is giving, etc.
-
does JA not realize he has a habit, or has become, a QB that has played these games multiple times. it's like a child who gets caught lying, I won't believe he cares or will put in the work to improve until it actually happens.
-
JA playing hero ball. his usage was the problem. Running him inside continually. This should be a timeshare of Cook/Murry and Harris as 2nd.

O'Cyrus Torrence.....Bills best O-lineman??
RyanC883 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd get his jersey, but, that has not worked out well the last few times. Last one I got was Darrus (yikes). -
depends. Do we win the same way we did last year or in the Dolphins games, namely, with a bunch of bonehead JA plays? AT this point, I need to see a long chain of smart plays by JA before I'm confident he can be "the guy" long term.
-
now. right now! well, it is and isn't Ken. On the one hand, Ken is calling plays that fit the underneath passing system, and JA is missing them. On the other hand, why can't Dorsey get through to Josh that he needs to make these passes. I hate to recommend this because it's insane, but Dorsey needs to pull the leash on JA at some point if he keeps playing like this. He does not follow the system and is arrogant that he can solve everything with a long pass. Perhaps being humbled a bit will help. He is not helping the team overall when he plays like this.

RyanC883 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amazing start for a rookie. The guy has it all: the physical and mental talent for the position. I know I'm hard on Bean picks, but this was a fantastic pick. -
extending McDermitt can be undone by eating the contract. JA could be traded for a top pick if people wanted to get crazy if JA keeps playing like this and try to draft someone like Williams, Maye, or Nix. The easiest solution would be to can McD, and get a offensive HC in here and a good OC that can actually teach Josh. He has all the talent, but none of the training to be an elite QB mentally.

The Bills Should Inquire About Hunter Renfrow’s Availability.
RyanC883 replied to STL-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. This season is a continuation of last season. The coaching staff has been unable to fix the run D, the turnover machine known as JA. Going 13-3 is meaningless if you can't win in the playoffs. JA cost us 2 big regular season games, tried to give away the Dolphins game, and suceed in being terrible vs. the Bengals. The coaching staff and offense have looked horrid through preseason, and still do. 2. Bean IS a terrible drafter. Let's see, trading the 10th pick (Mahomes) for Tre White. But at least we got Phillip Rivers, I mean, Josh Allen. Yeah, early playoff exits every year. He has drafted zero impact players on the DL, drafted a 1st round CB who can't start: all of these picks made when MUCH better players were available because Bean targets positions rather than the BPA.
