  1. putting Miller in in high leverage plays is a bad idea. Floyd came to play today.
  2. WR: Jeurdy or Dotson today?!
  3. not true. Basham was an awful pick at the time , morose with Humphrey right there. Then the next year I think it was we passed on Lindenblume (C) all to trade up for Elam.
  4. facts are a joke?
  5. that's the hope, for sure. It seems more than that. I think McD will be one of those great D coordinators who isn't HC material.
  6. Barf, agreeing with a Pats fan But this is the main issue, how on earth will the refs be able to eyeball this. If they do change the rule, any flag for a "hip drop tackle" must be reviewed.
  7. they also seem to be mostly muscle, ligament type injuries. Are they really focusing on warming up? Do they go full speed or do HIIT type training in the week?
  8. why? It's not giving up on the season. It's identifying a need (WR) and seeing who people on this board like. Informs who to watch as the college season kicks into its final leg. why not win it all, and then move up to draft a Davis replacement who can in turn replace Diggs in a few years? Or see who is available when we pick? bingo, this!! I think safety can be found via FA easier (most cost effective) than WRs. Heck, Poyer and Hyde are both FA acquisitions.
  9. we must trade up for a top WR like Coleman. Having a WR like that on a rookie contract is how you win when you have a franchise QB on a franchise QB contract. You need the top weapons around him. I'd trade our 2nd and 1st to move up in the 1st to grab someone like that. It's a player who can be a #1 when Diggs leaves, and is a fantastic #2 here in the meantime.
  10. or, Frazier does not want to burn any bridges. Why was Frazier burnt-out, yeah, read between the lines. Working for McD, etc. Coordinators don't last long with Captain Clappy. right, everything is fine. 5-5 is a total mirage. We looked great in our last playoff appearances also. The team is trending upwards, not downwards.
  11. I don't watch much college ball. Is Xavier Worthy the early pick or later pick for you? Who is your early and late pick? Interested to see who forum members (who watch more college ball than me) pick.
  12. Yeah, as others said, likely not a TD, but going toward the sideline and not the middle, where everyone is, was very odd/lack of awareness.
  13. I think the issue is when the questions are so close matchup wise. The interesting ones are, for example, Philly D v. KC (I'm doing that) over something like starting the Jax D this week, which is "predicted" to put up better numbers.
  14. I've got an issue also: Goff v. Bears or Purdy v. Bucs
  15. I think cap considerations kill any trade unless he redoes his contract first. I could be wrong. But if we could get a Bears 1st, plus a WR, and draft Harrison Jr. that'd work for me. Then turn cap savings into a FA safety, extending Floyd, etc. (I know we need OL help, but that's gen too expensive in FA. I'd draft a C/G later in the first.)
  16. here, how about this. Sorry, he is a meddler. The sliding is different than “don’t run.” https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/sean-mcdermott-buffalo-bills-ken-dorsey/
  17. so JA just strangely stopped running so much this year after McD said it would be an emphasis, including when he could get a 1st down and slide. The narrative persists because it’s likely true.
  18. I think not hitting incentives is a penalty, in a way. You could structure a K to have an incentive that if you are under X number of interceptions or fumbles, then you get X dollars. Although may lead to players playing too tight, not exactly what you want.
  19. I generally like aggressive D, but given that payton and wilson are smart and adaptable, I would have shown blitz, then dropped back.
  20. a funny response, "the issue with you, Sal, is that you "work for the Bills and are on the field for the games," yet still can't figure out the problems.
  21. Agreed, but he has a decent amount of talent here, just poorly utilized. He got 4 HC interviews, and one of the teams said they nearly hired him. For whatever that's worth. A good experiment for the rest of the season to see if Brady can do it. If he can't, is it because McD keeps meddling in the offense? If he can, we may have our issues solved--perhaps.
  22. Ben Johnson as HC Perhaps keep Brady as OC (dude is young, can learn from Johnson) Babbich as DC
  23. agreed. But I think the OP is asking if there is a HC (or perhaps former HC) worth going after? I'd also look at Eric B from Washington, and the OC of Houston, and Kellen Moore from the Chargers (not his fault they don't have a D).
  24. also need to bring back FLoyd on DL. hopefully McD is gone. If we bring in an offensive minded OC (Johnson from Det) he may keep Brady as OC perhaps, or bring someone from Det. I'd like to see Babbich as DC, barring that, there is likely another McD out there (bad head coach, good DC) we could poach. If McD stays, he MUST relinquish DC responsibilities.
  25. SB win or bust here. Well, depends, if he makes AFC Championship and actually coaches well and makes good in game decisions I'd be fine with that.
