  1. I did not see the entire game. But it's pretty clear in the video that TT's head is hit. You have SHU's arm going up, and TT's head going back. Refs make $$ to catch that at game speed. Yeah, it should have been caught during the game. Only excuse is if the ref was looking somewhere else at the time (O-line, etc) .
  2. at game speed, if the QB is hit in the head it's a penalty. I don't think it looked like a "punch". But that's what the post-game league review is for.
  3. Gronk is the one that frightens me the most. Need 2 ppl on him and jam him at the line.
  4. Exactly. TT needs to feed Benjamin (or any WR) the ball. His inability/unwillingness to throw to WR's is maddening. On the other hand, if Clay is open, what the heck, feed him.
  5. agreed. real time hard to see. The league should suspend him for at least 2 games. That looks decently blatant on his part. it shouldn't. You're right. That should have been 15 yard hitting QB head. Then suspension. I think the refs must have been watching for holding or the hand-off. I don't know how they miss that.
  6. If so, a major mishap by Tate and one has to wonder if the ST Coach even knows about it. I know it's a "snap judgment," but returning kicks is this guys job. He should have it ingrained in him what to do in that situation so that it would be habitual.
  7. Not the time for this thread. Once we make the playoffs this year, KW comes back for another to try to get to the Super Bowl. !!!!
  8. This would be awesome.!
  9. Milano on Gronk with Hyde or Poyer over the top. No single covering Gronk like the Steelers did (also, if Gronk played for any other team, he would have been suspended multiple games). White on Cooks Need K. Williams to have the best game of his life. Also need to draft some pass rushers.
  10. He's a HOF'er right now. 10K yards plus something like a 4.7 per carry average. In fact, I'd say Shady is the NFL MVP. If the Bills lack Shady, we are talking about which top 3 pick we have next season. He is the entire offense. That said, I expect to see him on the Wall of Fame, esp. if we break the playoff drought with him. And if he plays another 2-3 years, we could make/win a SB with him. (ok, enough caffeine for me!)
  11. they are explicit and clear. Very clear: (1) the call on the field stands--you need overwhelming evidence to overturn the call on the field--it does not exist in this case; (2) he made a catch, made a football move, then extended. It's a catch, move, TD.
  12. (1) his extension occurred after a football move; (2) the ball was always under control; (3) the call on the field stands unless there is conclusive evidence to the contrary--there was not. It's basic. The Refs screwed up in favor of the Pats (again).
  13. You're grasping to continue to put forth a coherent argument. You've been proven wrong. the ball was not "shifting".
  14. the rule is it must assist. Assist has a very basic definition. He had control, therefore the ground did not assist. It was not "moving" when it hit the ground. And, it was too close to overturn. No team but the Pats*** gets that call (or Gronk for this game).
  15. first you stated the rear point "hit," now it's "drags." It didn't "drag," it scrapped the ground for a second while in full control of James.
  16. You are 100% incorrect my friend. The ball has to "assist" in the catch. He catches it regardless of if the ground is there. He had both hands on the ball. It's that simple. For the ground to "assist" a catch, the ground needs to be irreplaceable--meaning that without it there is no catch. Dictionary Def of Assist: help (someone), typically by doing a share of the work. The ground did NO work here, much less a "share" of the work. Therefore the replay crew got it wrong. And second, the call on the field should stand. The fact this is being debated so much everywhere proves the point. A ball touching the ground does not mean it helped him catch the ball. And he never lost possession prior to it "touching" the ground.
  17. that is how it works. The Johnson play was much different.
  18. it took them MUCH longer than 20 seconds. First, it was a TD, second, the call on the field stands even if it's debatable, unless it is conclusive otherwise. It wasn't. And the ground did not "assist" the catch. He catches it if the ground is or is not there. Therefore, there is no "assist" to be had. They need better lawyer refs in the NFL.
  19. that's the rule. Unless you are playing the Pats***. Then it's "is there anyway we can negate this score."
  20. once the ball crosses the plane it's a TD. Plain and simple. He caught it before he crossed the plane, he could throw the ball out of his hands after he crosses the plane. He had possession prior. End of discussion. It's a TD. Doesn't matter what happens after the ball crosses the plane.
  21. YEp, such as CONSISTENT rule that the Refs called it a TD, and it took MINUTES for the review, and even the announcers couldn't figure it out. Very consistent rule. Oh, wait, there is a consistent rule: the call on the field prevails unless there is overwhelming evidence. There isn't.
  22. no, it's not. Replay does not make a call, the call on the field stands unless there is overwhelming evidence it was wrong. There is no such evidence. Therefore, the replay call was 100% wrong and would not go in favor of any team but the Pats*****
  23. If it wasn't the Pats****, the Steelers easily win. Two reasons: (1) Gronk would have gotten a MULTIPLE game suspension for his hit on White; and (2) that TD call on the field stands. None of this micro analysis, which is NOT supposed to happen with a replay.
  24. I hope you are correct. I keep thinking Randy Moss.
  25. White is due for intercepting Cutler a few times. Need the pass rush, then let White and Hyde do their thing.
