  1. I was in the Tampa airport flying back to Pittsburgh. Oddly, I was at a sports bar near my gate with what must have been a flight to Buffalo. Got there just at the end of the game. The "Shout' song broke out shortly after Cincy won! oh, to answer your question: after the Cincy TD 1/2 the people were nervous, the other 1/2 appeared to be celebrating. But when Ravens drive began, it was silent until the game was over. I really expected Ravens to pull off a win and see some sort of jerky smile on Flacco and Harbaugh's faces.
  2. well said. Get another CB and we will have our own "no fly zone" in Buffalo. This secondary has been especially impressive given the lack of pass rush. Imagine paring this secondary with a legit pass rush!!
  3. He does seem like a cool dude. Although I think he drives now (I would w/ NFL money!). I know someone who lives in the same apt building as him. He's a funny/cool dude. Wears bunny slippers or something when they had a fire alarm. The game he was suspended, he was watching the game in the common-room of the apt. building while wearing his helmet.
  4. I'm underwhelmed with the "hyped" picks of Darnold and Allen. Darnold is way too inconsistent and makes too many turnovers against Pac-12 D's. Allen scares me. He has the size, but has under-performed in a very weak conference. However, I think there are some good QB's in this class. My top 2 are Rosen and Mayfield. Although I doubt the Bills draft Mayfield. I haven't watched enough Rudolph to have an opinion. Luke Falk's numbers intrigue me. 70% completion 2 years in a row. Anyone like him? Likewise Furgeson also impresses me from a numbers standpoint, but have not seen him play. I'd grab one of these guys in 1st or 2nd: Rosen, Mayfield, Furgeson, Rudolph (perhaps). And then grab either: Falk or McSorley in a later round.
  5. The combo of Dennison and TT is a killer for a WR. No WR on the Bills can produce. I haven't lost faith in Zay based upon this year. D. Thompson makes a few plays on poorly thrown balls. His stats are nothing stellar. He'd be much better also with a quality WR. So would Benjamin, Clay, and Zay. Watkins, Woods, and Goodwin! are all having much better seasons without TT. That's interesting. What do the highest rated WR's all have in common: a good QB. Although, I think I'd take JuJu over Kupp or Cole.
  6. SDS. Appreciate you protecting the site from commercial use. On the other hand, is there any process for these guys to get on the main "news" page. The Buffalo News has basically paywall blocked everyone. There is a dearth of Bills news out there now.
  7. Bengals. They have the talent to do it. Hopefully they also have the motivation.
  8. I'll take either a grinder with a high pick on a DT, or a star, and a draft pick for edge rusher. I think if we get another great DT, Williams stays for a hopeful SB run.
  9. we should have claimed him for our Playoff run!!!
  10. the real issue is with the instant replay official in NY this year. He should be gone.
  11. yep, Titans lose, while odd, hurts us. Basically means we need to win and have a ton of stuff go right.
  12. either one is highly unlikely. And if both happen, we lose to the Dolphins, because, we are the Bills, it's what we do
  13. 2 weeks in a row. Two times the Pats**** get gifted a call from NY.
  14. Tentative Tyrod Taylor. Sure can use his legs to take negative yardage sacks. He's terrible.
  15. This is extremely likely. Well, likely the ref's will over-protect him. What's the over/under on him drawing 2 "pass interference" calls? I'd take the over.
  16. It's almost impossible to know if we want the Titans and/or Chargers to win today. So much depends on who else wins and loses. Just win both Bills!!! Much better odds.
  17. not a chance. Clay and O'Leary are the only hopes of seeing passes completed. Perhaps he remembers Zay Jones is on the team. Started targeting him a bit earlier in the year, then all WR's went into witness protection.
  18. if they are winning, it's fun. If the ball is moving when running, fun. Watching a great defense, fun. I like it. Anything that wins the game is fun to watch.
  19. I would also add: WR: Devante Adams (Packers) or Allen Robinson. Jacksonville. JAX has M. Lee as a FA also. Unlikely they keep both given they also have DeDe Westbrook.
  20. thanks. Never too early to talk about this stuff on a football board!! Apprecaite the insight into these guys. I have no idea who most of them are, but they sound like solid additions.
  21. quite a few of those Steeler backups turned out to be all-pro caliber players, so that defeat in hindsight was not as bad as it felt at the time. And it felt terrible. I drove from PIT w/ Steeler fans to watch it. Totally terrible ride back.
  22. I agree. You want the guy starting right away, if he's the guy. I don't know what you learn from a QB like Smith or TT--certainly not the habits you want the new QB to display. If you have Brett Farve ahead of your guy like Rodgers did then sitting may work, otherwise, I like the DC idea.
  23. Greg Roman is not the head coach. Harbaugh is.
  24. I think he was told that he wasn't wanted here...
  25. the bolded part is 100% spot-on. We have a right to be "upset," or "frustrated," but calling Bills fans negative is ridiculous. I can't think of another sports team that would sell out or even have as many fans in the stadium (or a message board as passionate as this) after 17 non-playoff seasons!
