Potential replacements for Eric Wood
RyanC883 replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that would be idea as Price is also a solid guard. Price likely is picked before our pick, IMO. If not Price, I see us grabbing OL help early. -
Eric Wood has career-ending neck injury; will retire
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So many thoughts: 1. Dammit, this always seems to happen to great players. Guys like Wood, Manning, etc. that are not only great at playing the game, but great locker-room guys and by all apperances great-guys off the field. 2. I wanted the Bills to draft a C/G in the draft as a high-level backup, but this is terrible news. One benefit of drafting this year was to learn from Wood, who would also have helped a new QB. 3. Any chance this is "fake news??!" -

Bob Costas Dumped From NBC Super Bowl Team
RyanC883 replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hey, watch it. SU Grads are great. Bob was great, until he decided to become preachy. This is a problem that impacts a lot of sportscasters, IMO. They are not really reporting "real news," and I think get a bit jealous of those that do. Regardless, the really great sportscasters make listening to the game fantastic. -
besides Newton, not a ton to work with there. And Newton had an MVP season. fantastic point.

Great topic. here is my list: Buf: Smith; Allen (not happy, but what I think will happen), Peterson NYJ: draft L. Jackson, keep Hackenberg and Petty. CLE: Darnold Jax: keep Bortles, draft Mike White DEN: Bradford; draft Rudolph NYG: Rosen, Eli, Webb WAS: Cousins. I can't see Washington not tagging him. They have nothing behind him. MIN: Teddy, Keenum ARI: Tyrod, Mayfiled.

Mayfield may not play in Senior Bowl
RyanC883 replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope not, if he did, he needs his head examined! I was just joking that he's trying to fall down the board to end up with the Bills. I don't trust anyone who wants to play for the stinky fish! SQUISH THE FISH. who do you recommend watching. I don't watch enough college ball to know who I should be watching in the front 7 in the Senior Bowl? -
Oh, you should make this a poll. Great off-season question, you could do it before the draft, after the draft, etc. Right now I'd go w/ Alex Smith. this is my preference, but for some reason I envision Smith happening.

I'm in agreement with this. And I think it accurately describes most bandwagon Pats*** fans in Boston. When this "dynasty" began, few Pats** fans I knew had any clue about the teams past, etc.

Gilmore is now beloved in NE (Yahoo Article)

Bradham is a player I'd like to see back. -
Jordan, and it's not close. (1) how many Championships did Jordan lose? None. Brady: two. In fact, Brady did not win a SB between 2004 and 2014. Jordan quit basketball, played baseball, came back and won three more Championships; (2) Brady has been caught cheating; (3) Jordan was an all-star both offensively and defensively. Brady is a pocket QB whom I do not think would survive outside the NE system; (4) Brady never faces the pass-rush because his OL is never called for holding. Jordan is better by a mile. Brady does have an immense help by playing behind the "zebra-line" that never gets called for holding, and getting PI calls against his WR's when either the ball is un-catch-able; and/or the defender is legitimately making a play on the ball. The "shine" has come off the "Brady comeback" the last few years.

Pats create PI when they are losing
RyanC883 replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
unfortunately, this is true unless you either: (1) have a clueless ref, which a lot are; or (2) are playing the Pats** -
[POLL] Are you going to watch the Super Bowl?

I wish you the best of luck. $$ in your pocket is better than watching the Pats** -

I disliked the idea of Marrone in the SB also. But....(1) I hate the Pats***, and (2) Gilmore is now in the superbowl. -
Schwartz may be the next Dick LeBeau. Great DC, average HC. I think there are just "newer/shiner" toys in this years HC search bin.

What will happen with the offensive line?
RyanC883 replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they keep Glenn unless they can get Cap relief otherwise and use it to go after a stud front 7 on the D. I think Miller gets better. I think they keep Henderson (cheap, and huge upside). Mills and Ducasse will be kept, at least through camp (see below). I think one of their first two picks is either Billy Price (C/G) from Ohio State, or Mike McGlinchey (OT) from Notre Dame. Both would be day 1 starters. MCD likes great line play, and I can't envision us not using a 1st round pick on OL. We don't have a lot of depth there and are getting old. -
Congrats officials on another Super Bowl berth.....
RyanC883 replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats**** offensive line NEVER gets called for holding. The idea that any team can have zero penalties against its offense or defense (you can't count the meaningless kickoff holding) is totally irrational and rediculous. I don't care how "disciplined" a team is. NO penalties against your offense or defense is impossible. Refs protect QB's like Brady more than regular QB's by letting the OL hold, etc.
