  1. Good points, but sometimes teams get antsy and out-think themselves. Happened with Rodgers, Brees, and Wilson.
  2. If not the Giants, I can see him falling out of the 1st round or to the Steelers or Pats**. I agree, he needs to sit behind a vet for a while. Great talent, just not all "put together."
  3. he may fit what the new OC wants to run. He'd be a good pick at 21/22. A guy with huge upside.
  4. that could be code for keeping our draft picks? I think TT and Glenn may be cut/moved, with replacements for Glenn and front 7 in FA/draft.
  5. if you are Cleveland and Rosen is your top guy, take him. he either plays for you, or you trade him for a mother-load of picks. CLE is in a great position draft wise if they don't screw it up. (a BIG if)
  6. I think the issue here is that an Elite prospect does not really exist in this draft outside of perhaps 2 QB's (Mayfield and Rosen). You don't trade-up for a non-elite prospect, you let those guys come to you. And we have a ton of gaps in our current team that our existing picks and cap money can fill that make a QB like Bradford or Bridgewater very likely to take this team far into the playoffs.
  7. Retain both draft and Salary Cap capital. While everyone is chasing Cousins, grab Bradford or Teddy. Take best QB remaining at 21 or 22. I don't see a "sure-fire" trade-up. Darnold scares me (turnover machine); Rosen perhaps I'd trade-up for. But I'd go with a high-upside guy in the 21-22 range. Let that guy learn from our FA QB. Use picks and remaining cap space to shore up front 7 and OL, WR.
  8. I agree with most of this post. However, the income tax is paid where you play the games. So no income tax for home games, but away games you'll still get hit. I think Denver or the Jets due to Elway and the coaching connection in NJ.
  9. Byrd had 4 new starters in the secondary and they played extremely well together. That in and of itself is a feat.
  10. added how it would be won. !
  11. absurd IMO. Completely turned the secondary around.
  12. this whole thing is odd. Is he really and upgrade. Still unclear why we fired Byrd.
  13. The issue I have with Smith is that he is only under a 1 year deal, and many people will want Smith, so I think it will take a 2nd. Then, he is going to want to cash-in. I'm also not sure if he throws with anticipation. And the 0 TD's to WR's of 2 years ago worries me.
  14. ok, that last part was a joke---but really, what happened Friday? The initial info about him retiring came out Thursday?
  15. ok. what happened Friday?>! I've been away at some high level meetings.
  16. football players are wired differently. If it's true he got "numerous second opinions," that's a clear indication that he wants to keep playing.
  17. I think the press conference would have happened on-time if that were the reason....also Wood would not have invited so many players to the conference. Likely a second opinion came in, and he wants to keep playing.
  18. I think it's possible he got another opinion that says he can play. And the Bills are worried he will severely injure himself. That's the only reason I can think of for the odd press-conference. Something happened last-minute that caught everyone off guard. It could be that Wood is considering the second opinion while also working out how to restructure in case he either retires now and/or is injured at a later time.
  19. to me, that is the strangest part. I don't think he anticipated the press conference going the direction it went. Something's up.
  20. Video will not play from Bills website?!!? Thanks for the updates everyone! Keep em coming.
  21. do Eric Kyle and Shady count since they got to the Playoffs? I'd add Aaron Schobel (DE); Chris Kelsay (DE) S. Johnson (WR); Lee Evans (WR); and B. Moorman (P); A. Williams (S)
  22. that "tip" is just the credit card processing fee, generally.
  23. Here are the Center rankings from Walterfootball. http://walterfootball.com/draft2018C.php Here is CBS Sports, although they have some Center prospects (such as Price) listed as guards. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/centers/ I'd expect Bozeman and the other SEC Center's to be a known quantity (either good or bad) with the new OC.
  24. I like this option a lot, and our OC would be familiar with him.
