if we trade up, I will not be a naysayer. I will have confidence in this FO. Rosen or Mayfield. I think both will be the best in this class. I think L. Jackson also has a chance to be great, and if we have to stay at 21, I'd want him there. if TT is our starter, we need to draft Freeman from Oregon as RB. I don't think Shady can carry the O for another year! (I'd draft Freeman anyway). I'd think we have to make a SB also with that package of picks.

good point. I hear his WR's dropped quite a few balls (as did Jackson's, apparently). Whatever we do, I want that guy to be great. My fav QB is Mayfield, but whoever we draft I'll trust that this FO knows its stuff.

Possible Late Round Steal: DE Ade Aruna (Tulane)

would love a guy like this late in the draft. -
I think he needs about 2 years playing behind someone. I agree, there is no way he will improve by being thrown onto the field. Wentz had a 64.1 college completion percentage v. Allen's 56.2.

Arm is like Rodgers. Nothing else really his. He has an abysmal accuracy and he played at Wyoming. I'd be questionable about him if he played in a Power 5 conference. His inability to "get it together" facing lesser competition is concerning.

Landry on the block, with the tag

hpeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery bollic! Didn't know that targets were not recorded until 1992. (but there could have been someone, somewhere, worse prior!) At any rate, I think Zay will be great next year. Esp. if we have a better QB--which is questionable at this point. -

HY-PER-BOLIC! That's from October. And, not worst ever, but since 1992. And how many targets were thrown to him? -
great point about the options. I did not know/or totally forgot that!

I don't think so at all. or cry us a river Landry. Your dirty hit on Williams was not a good deal for him. You'd be tremendously overpaid for a slot WR. -
PFF 2018 Draft Board: Top 100

I don't think Jackson would be a reach at all. I think Rudolph would. I'd prefer Mike White or Luke Falk over Rudolph, and none of them in the 1st. -
WOW. This would be amazing. Did you use Fanspeak? I find them to be fun, but how on earth does Vea land at 22? I'd perfer Mike White over Rudolph, but taking Rudolph in the 2nd seems correct. Price in the 3rd is completely insane, but hey, take it if its there. I think that's where we take a center who can play guard and end up with Ragnow or Bozeman. Kiser is a guy I like, would be great depth in the 5th. Know nothing about OT Harrison. that's a good point. I would keep that pick, and grab another LB/pass rusher with Vea (in this guys scenario where Vea makes it to us). Then grab a RB like Freeman.
-
Wouldn't mind him in the 2nd round at all. I think he's a better prospect than Rudolph, IMO. My ideal draft/QB scenario: 1. Veteran (Cousins, Bradford, Keenum). 2. Draft DL/pass rusher at 21, 22. Instantly have a top D with a pass rush and our secondary. 3. Draft QB in second, trading up if necessary to grab Luke Falk, Mike White, etc. Jump to top of second if L. Jackson is somehow still there.
-
I agree. QB (and even pass rush) should be addressed prior to OL. If we address the QB and pass rush, we have a more potent offense and a top 5 defense. Imagine a pass rush + our secondary. Scary. That's why I think a lower ranked center (and we have Groy, so we don't have the "emergency" some national pundits think) such as Ragnow, Clapp, Queesnburry (esp. if we get Rosen), Clapp, and Bozeman will be the pick.
-
He stays here. A rookie QB needs a few things. Good OL, good TE, and good RB. We have 2 of the 3 (OL question mark). I think we add another RB. We need more depth there. I get the cap hit of Shady and the age, but he is still productive.

I really hope the Jets do something stupid and pick up Landry. I could see the Browns trading for him because they have 1000 draft picks, and having a solid slot guy is nice, since they have Coleman and Gordon on the outside. you can draft a slot receiver who by year 2 could match Landry's production. He was the #1 WR in Miami, and they used a quick strike passing game, IMO. That's why his numbers are inflated. I think Cupp is a better slot WR, and so is JuJu Smith (who can also play outside). Heck, once Zay is healthy he'll be a better slot guy. -
I think either Walton or Royce Freeman. I think this draft has some RB depth to it, (like most years), so I see it being a later pick with a FA brought in. Hopefully bringing back Cadet. He was balling before his injury.

I like the pushing the sled with sensor's idea. The bench is a bad barometer of how a guy will actually block. The sled could be modified for WR's and RB's for stiffarm. He can also play guard, which provides depth at two positions. I'm more partial to the guy from Iowa solely based on the fact that I've read he can get to the second level quicker. But Price would be nice. Also, Bozeman (sp) from Alabama is intriguing. That wouldn't surprise me either as a pick in the later rounds.
