  1. ha. I'm not sure Ivory is overpaid. The FO needed a "hammer" back and got one. I think he has another good 1-2 years.
  2. Good point. I'll add him. ....wait, does not look like I can. Good catch though. JUST VOTE
  3. I think it's BPA, assuming you don't have a stud at that position. I.E. we will not be taking a RB at 21 or 22.
  4. We can get any QB. Who would your pick be??
  5. Fanspeak Board. Difficult. Not sure I like this. Only "top" QB left at 21 was Allen, but I took a pass on him. 1: R1P21 EDGE MARCUS DAVENPORT UTSA 2: R1P22 OT KOLTON MILLER UCLA 3: R2P21 TE MIKE GESICKI PENN STATE 4: R2P24 QB LUKE FALK WASHINGTON STATE 5: R3P32 C FRANK RAGNOW ARKANSAS 6: R4P21 WR D.J. CHARK LSU 7: R5P21 S VAN SMITH CLEMSON 8: R5P29 RB JAYLEN SAMUELS NORTH CAROLINA STATE Rounds 1-3 are steals here. I love it. Don't know much about the other guys drafted. Not sure what happened to "Bo" last year in Bama.
  6. Mayfield was available and you DIDN'T DRAFT HIM!!!! With the exception of not taking Mayfield, this is a great draft. BTW, what are the other teams doing where Mayfield and Vea are available at 21!!
  7. I think in the OP's scenario we keep P. Brown (MLB) and draft Hughes replacement w/ the 21st (or 22nd) pick. I don't think this creates a spectacular hole. If the FO really likes a QB, this is a great value, IMO.
  8. YES. In your scenario we still have a 1st round pick to take Hughes replacement, be it a LB or DL. Then draft another DL in the 2nd. I think it would take way more than this, but you never know. I think the Giants will not trade the pick. They want Barkely.
  9. BTW: Love the Ivory signing. Grab a position of need w/ a proven player at a lower cost. Love having a hammer back.
  10. I don't get the feeling that our FO will be overpaying for anyone. And I agree, glad Watkins is not our problem. I wonder if Graham takes an incentive-laden contract in NO?
  11. Cadet a FA. Humm. Any chance we bring him back? I really liked him when he was here. Although I guess a rookie as RB 3 is more likely due to $$.
  12. I suppose the "pass rusher" at 21/22 could be the stud LB. Not sure what stud LB may be around then. Who do you recommend we target? (I am very thin at my knowledge of college players.)
  13. Question: Do we still have Cadet?
  14. Great question. I think we will. Likely someone a bit off the radar who complements Shady's skill-set (juke/catch)
  15. salary cap cheating? na, the Pats*** would never cheat.
  16. I'd be okay with a 2nd, but I don't see him as better than Keenum. He's a backup who had a great run in 2 playoff games after floundering prior to that. Reich had to redo parts of the offense to fit him. I see your point. But on the other hand, when you can have Wentz and Foles as your backup, I'd want that. You just won a SB with that combo, and it would be a slap to the fans to trade Foles perhaps unless you can get a haul in return. Foles signed a multi-year deal with Philly, so he can't be too surprised if he's a backup there again.
  17. Like: Tony Romo Chris Collinsworth Ramon Foster (his weekly show in PGH. Guy is amazing. Only player show I ever listened to). Sean McDonough Dislike: Peter King. His stuff is very annoying to read.
  18. if Mayfield drops out of the top (or even 8) I will be thrilled. Neither Oakland nor 49ers need a QB. We could likely swing a trade that keeps our other first rounder in that scenario.
  19. Inversely, anyone kill their draft stock at the combine. Like Orlando Brown from Oklahoma. Doesn't let up a sack I think, then has historically bad combine.
  20. that is a fantastic story. I love the players who remember what it was like to be a fan. Stuff like that is 5 min of that guys time, and means a ton to a kid. I really hope we draft him what what I've read so far and saw at the combine.
  21. DJ Chark WR-LSU seems to fit the mold from what little I've read.
  22. Thanks! I think we either end up with a QB, or one of these guys with one of our 1st round picks. Question: are either Smith or Edmunds guys who can cover and/or rush the QB. Or more "inside" types?
  23. OP: thanks for the in-depth analysis. Here is the cliff note version: (1) we should get QB this year; (2) but if we can't (teams won't trade with us, QB run before our pick) who should we get next year?
  24. I think we are both having fun w/ this Either way, I love that the Dolphins will either be overpaying for Landry, or not get much in return. (unless Cleveland gives them a 2nd).
  25. WHAT. But I can get him on Fanspeak in the 3rd I'd take him in the 2nd.
