  1. I agree. Don't say, "I could come back, I'm in great shape, blah blah." DO IT!
  2. he really is. I hope he becomes great, because he's got the personality down. Although, better if he were a Pens fan, oh well must add Beef on Weck!
  3. Great poll. Will be interesting to see if one is done at the end of the season how they compare!
  4. I'll take the SB appearances. Perhaps Marino skills w/ the SB appearances=wins. So some sort of hybrid combo!!!
  5. true. likely ESPN. But then, will anyone be watching!!???
  6. Hopefully this is the next Kelly v. Marino friendship. And Allen is Kelly!
  7. I don't know about Brady in a booth. His attitude would be off-putting to many. He's no Romo in that regard.
  8. read the entire sentense, Peterman has every chance and skillset to pass TT....if he were in a situation where he was "the guy," for a way-too-long period of time." If McCarron and Allen were on the team last year, TT would have been 3rd string. The skillset that led to him being a 4 star recruit at starter at Tennessee and Pitt. The one that led him to a victory at Pitt over a VASTLY superior Clemson team. He has the intelligence, athletic ability (more than ppl give him credit for) to win games. He needs a line that actually blocks Bosa. Coaching error to pick that game as the first one. 2015 Pittsburgh 13 193 313 61.7 2,287 20 8 2016 Pittsburgh 13 185 306 60.5 2,855 27 7
  9. I'd rather watch history on the history channel :). Nothing wrong with those shows, but seems like they belong on Discovery or something.
  10. On the other hand, TT only has played as much as he has because he had zero competition last year (a rookie QB) and his TD to interception ratio is grossly inflated by his inability/unwillingness to even attempt to throw passes when a DB is around. That's why he throws for so few yards and misses open WR's. I think Petterman has every chance and skillset to pass TT's production if he were in a situation where he was "the guy" for an way-too-long period of time. But I don't see that happening. I see Allen starting at the latest at the beginning of next year, unless McCarron lights it up.
  11. yeah, I went to vote and was like, "wow, we don't have a lot of great (if any) WR's in the AFC East." Some good ones, but really no pro-bowl level players---although I think a healthy Benjamin can be at that level.
  12. he likely ends up as a 3rd QB somewhere. too bad the CFL is already underway. The guy needs reps to improve, perhaps could have played up there.
  13. TT is a whiner. Saying he would "love to knock the Bills out of the playoffs," is just a jack-a&& thing to say. He should realize he is NOT the reason the Bills made the playoffs. It will be interesting to see what type of leash he is given in Cleveland. Cleveland has one of the best--if not the best--WR groups in the NFL.
  14. hopefully we land another LB after cuts. Starters look solid, but we need more depth.
  15. serisouly. If I owned an NFL team, every rookie would have Uber, Lyft, the local taxi all installed on their phones. NFL eventually needs to send a message on this type of behavior. 1/2 the season at least.
  16. 50K a month to play video games!!! Wow.
  17. This seems like a contrived story by the agent to make his client look like a great guy for turning down endorsements "in deference to Smith." PLEASE. Mahones was the BACKUP. What endorsements was he being offered, "Sparco Clipboard"? Also, even if he was offered endorsements, his agent knew he'd make a lot more with endorsements this year as the starter. Spare me the "look at how great my client is, he did this for Alex Smith."
  18. Using the Op's list, this is what I have: Drew Bledsoe (for his first 8 games or so) Rob Johnson Tyrod Taylor Ryan Fitzpatrick Alex Van Pelt Trent Edwards JP Losman EJ Manuel Kelly Holcomb Kyle Orton (would have been at the top, but you don't slide like he did when you need to win the game).
  19. Still cautious, given his play at Wyoming. He has all the tools. Perhaps better coaching in Buffalo. I still can't see him beating out McCarron. I think the real-live game-speed will give McCarron an edge--but I'm hopeful that Allen is the best QB from this draft. I would love to have the redraft in a few years have Allen and Edmunds at the top!!!
  20. This could be the biggest steal of the draft. A couple years from now, my guess is that the "redrafts" have him going top 3.
  21. If you make ridiculous comments, at least be a poster with a "high motor".
  22. I think Foster ends up in the WR rotation. I could see him as a starter next year. Dupree I wanted to draft (along with OT McDermitt). I think both will be major contributors this year.
  23. Or, he's good, and the Jets can't recognize talent. We'll find out soon!
  24. I want to hear that we at least made a play at him. With McD and Fraizer as known great D coaches, you'd think we have a shot at him coming here. Any connection/overlap with Shady's time in Philly?
  25. this would be a fantastic pickup. Would solidify the LB corp.
