  1. not because of Mack. Because of freaking A. Rodgers.
  2. I agree. Or, because we have a ton of money in FA, go after Bridgewater. Bridgewater, Allen and Finley anyone? (assuming Allen struggles, which is the OP's premise. If not, Allen and Finley sound good to me)
  3. yeah yeah i have no idea who to watch in college, guess I'll be trying to see if any line-play sticks out, which is incredibly hard.
  4. totally agree. didn't used to, but I say play Allen. Find out what you have. Bridgewater is a target in FA if not since we have the money to go after him.
  5. We will need new players on the O-line. Here is the CBSSports ranking of top college OT's and Guards and Centers. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/offensive-tackles (OT) https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/offensive-guards (OG) https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/centers (C). one guy!! http://walterfootball.com/draft2019C.php (Walter football center)
  6. totally agree. The head-bob thing Groy was doing drove me nuts. It's a clear tell to the D. perhaps move Groy to guard. I have no idea. Put us in. I can fall down from a bull-rush as good as the rest of them! (besides Dawkins, keep him, others backups).
  7. not much in the way of affordable FA or draft to address. I'd take Edmunds and Allen over a OL. Not much OL FA next year either. Will be hitting that in the draft. 10 picks next year. The two biggest positions might be addressed. getting the OL iand pass rush in place is now a priority.
  8. humors me. On a radio station here in Pittsburgh they take Tomlin's coach-speak and interject into the shows. it's really funny. every coach does it.
  9. Logan Thomas anyone?? true, and if we don't start Bodine in place of Groy, and, well, with this o-line, we may be tanking whether we intend to or not!
  10. that's a TD with most other QB's. Landry Jones out there anywhere? time to put in Allen. See what he has. If it's not enough, get Bridgewater in FA.
  11. they make bad trades, but they have drafted well. PFF gave him one of the highest grades for rookie tackles/guards.
  12. with Walker injured, they are in huge trouble. Titans are my bet for #1 pick next year.
  13. valid point, but this is about yesterday. He was disappointing yesterday (not overall, to which your point is valid). Yesterday he should have had a TD, ended up causing an INT, among other miscues. yep. Like a FA Hail-Mary I think. Were there other DL out there? I have no idea.
  14. I'd say Star, but he stunk in preseason also and is washed-up. I did not expect anything from him. Benjamin is my offensive disappointment. Poyer/Hyde on D. The secondary, esp. safety play was bad.
  15. Bridgewater is a FA next year. Perhaps start Allen this year, and go after Teddy in FA if not enough development. I like the idea, but we do not have a Marvin Harrison. We could go max protect, but we need a WR outlet. Perhaps put Shady or Murphy out wide?
  16. Peterman started because he won the preseason battle and looked better than Allen behind a garbage O-line. However, Peterman is a backup. I like the guy, but preseason isn't the regular season, and Allen demonstrated last game that he is better in the regular season. Or at least Peterman showed that he is Peterman in the regular season. Start Allen, even though thoughts of him getting killed like Carr scare me a bit. But I think Allen handles it.
  17. Our O line is so bad, I don't want Allen to turn into Carr when he was with Houston. A tie is a perfect game for TT. Many more like that one yesterday and ppl will rightfully want Mayfield. Your right. My armchair analysis: Star is old and washed-up. LB's , except Milano and Edmunds who looked good, are generally sub-par. The secondary was a disaster yesterday, esp. the safety play. That was crazy.
  18. Here is a FA list: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000946100/article/2019-nfl-free-agency-preview-fine-crop-of-dlinemen-safeties fun tool to play with: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/ufa/wide-receiver/ OL looks thin. Getting Barr, Cobb and Tate would be tremendous, and I'd keep KB in that scenario--I imagine he's cheap. Tyler Lockett could be the guy to get as the "take the top off". Here is QB list. Looks like Bridgewater is a UFA, in terms of vet backups some other interesting names. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/ufa/quarterback/
  19. fantastic question. I think since we have 10 picks overall, I'd rather get a game-changer like Oliver or Bosa (see what Mack and Von Miller did yesterday!) and then trade-down in the 2nd or back into the first to grab OL, LB, WR, etc. any lists of who OL FA's will be, and WR or LB? Another great question. what if a QB you like is there in round 2. I think that would be the earliest. Hard to grade Allen behind this OL, but he did have a higher QBR than TT yesterday.
  20. I also love Groy's huge head movement prior to the snap, lets the D know the ball is being snapped, giving the O-line no extra .5 seconds.
  21. finally working. Closed app 1-2X and it started working. thanks all!
  22. going the AARP/IR route with Star and Trent was a bad offseason move.
  23. Anyone else having issues and have a notice saying, "We're having trouble playing this video...."
