  1. Idea: just move Shady to WR. He'd instantly be our best WR, can get separation. Go 3 wide all the time, and keep Ivory in the backfield.
  2. not having a QB coach is absurd. If I'm Pegs, I'm mandating one next year. And looking into what the Rams did to improve Goff (minus total coaching overhaul)
  3. that would have been fine with me also. If Det. didn't have Johnson at RB, I think we may have been able to trade him for a WR. Or for one of GB's 100 WR's.
  4. Like others have said, fix the OL in FA and add a WR who can actually get open. That solves a lot of problems. Then we still have the draft. Draft BPA in top 5, likely DL, which is okay, because continued defensive dominance will be required. Then draft OL (good ones likely around end of 1st, and in 2nd); WR (generally good ones in 3-4) and RB (with a good OL, keep Ivory and Shady and get a stud 3rd-4th rounder). If we can field an offense putting up even 21 points a game next year we will be in good shape if we keep the D churning.
  5. since Daboll has no clue how to use him, and this O-line can't block for him, I'd agree. Perhaps Green Bay and Eagles get into a bidding war. Ivory is actually better suited for this OL. anyone you'd recommend at WR? All the ones I'd trade for have expiring contracts at the end of this season.
  6. Get Bradford, put Foster in, and have Bradford throw it to him every other play. Eventually Foster will catch one, and score a TD. This will be more exciting than anything we have seen all year. I also think Bradford could hit Zay a few times as well. He looked bad in Zona, but that whole offense has been anemic.
  7. same here. could be a long-term backup. Was a good backup in PGH. I do not want to see any more of Peterson.
  8. this isn't a terrible idea. My first thought is Haley, but he is a serious nutjob. Jackson was good in Cincy. Some coordinators are bad HC's (Josh McDaniels, Dick Lebou). But I think I'd rather try one of the assistants from the Rams first.
  9. agree with this. Allen would have stunk last night. Not that Anderson was great, but Anderson had fantastic ball placement into traffic for most of the game. The WR's get zero separation on this team. An improved OL and WR corp will help whoever is the QB, Allen or whomever. that involves brining in an OC who uses modern concepts. But I agree, that is a good template to work from.
  10. he continued to run plays involving Shady going up the middle, then bouncing to the outside. That does not work. Finally he realized 'perhaps I should run Ivory up the middle.' He has enough talent to get a freaking TD. His play calling was so obvious that Whitten called it from the press box prior to the play.
  11. If you have to get a "bargain" player, better to go w/ someone you are familiar with. And the Bills have brought in plenty of non-Carolina FA's: Hyde, Poyer, Trent Williams, Bojorquez (punter), CB Ryan Lewis, Orchard, Jon Ryan, Keenan Robinson (LB), etc.
  12. trade Benjamin and Clay. if you trade KB, I want a 3rd. If you throw in Clay, I'd take a 5th for both just to clear Clay's salary and free it up for FA next year. Or perhaps Arizona would take both for Peterson
  13. more sold on McBean than McDermitt. MCD needs to get a real OC, and fast.
  14. Rosen has a ton of talent, and I don't get the drooling over him. He has Kirk and Fitzgerald at WR, and D. Johnson at RB. Rosen's issue is play calling perhaps, but he has talent. Exactly. Sammy Watkins is the #3-4 receiving target on that team. Think about that!
  15. yeah, what do you think Monday morning is for. ??
  16. And there is zero need for coaches to do this. I believe this is a rumor perpetuated by coaches who want to show how "hard working" they are. Work smarter, not harder.
  17. You go BPA. Talent wins the games. I think top OL talent will be available in the early second round. WR likely still around in the 3rd. if picking #1, either getting a QB or trading down has to be a consideration. Not sure who that QB is, however.
  18. Punter. He's a younger Hispanic.
  19. taking Clay should be a requirement for any team taking KB and/or McCoy! Getting Kevin White would be a nice addition. agree. Get something for KB, let the younger WR's play. And get rid of Clay's cap. Replace him with Croom (who is better, IMO).
  20. In the offseason, we should be very aggressive in going after TB. We don't know what we have in Allen, and we don't have the ability to get another rookie given our other holes in the roster and the need for a vet in the room. Ideal QB room next year: TB can start, and Allen can push him. 3rd QB, if needed, can be an UDFA or another vet (Matt Moore, Landry Jones) who is easily available. Thoughts? And if we draft a QB, who do you suggest? I'd go: DL (assuming top 5 pick); OL; WR; etc.
  21. yeah, I figured White would shut him down like Hopkins.
  22. I think Ref's don't call penalties on our D. Holding, etc.
  23. was wondering where it went. shouldn't have benched Hilton in fantasy!
  24. wow. WR's only catching 75% of catch-able passes this year.
