An Honorable Salute To Our TBD Veterans
RyanC883 replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you to all the Veterans and their family for their service and sacrifices to keep this Country safe and free. -
How about Matt Barkley huh?
RyanC883 replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I think he plays until he falters, then Allen goes in. Could also be the Veteran that Allen was supposed to learn from this year. I agree he could be the long-term backup. He was slated to be Cincy's backup pre-injury. he had 12 days w/ this team, and who knows if he was even throwing to Foster during that time, given that Foster just got called up from the PS. -
What Do You Want To See the Rest of the Year?
RyanC883 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In terms of 2, would like to see some of the younger guys like Teller get extended playing time. We know some of the players on the OL won't be back next year or are destined to backup roles. Cuse is already #13!! If they play ND like they did Clemson, they could conceivably beat ND and win-out, having a 10 win season and being a top 5-10 team!! -
the line is in need of serious work. Although I wouldn't take one in Rd. 1. The value seems to be late Rd1-Rd.2. I'd trade down for one, however. And grab two (late round 1, early rd. 2). Then WR.

Bills claim WR Isaac McKittrick from Seahawks
RyanC883 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fire MCD and Bean. Getting another Carolina player. ……;) -
anyone know how he did? I didn't notice him in the game.
-
could also grab Jesse James in FA.
-
Here are my suggestions, in this order (only personnel. I would also get a QB, OL coach, and perhaps new OC): (1) Sign Bridgewater. Now, a competent vet for Allen to learn from. He is a FA after this season, and we can outbid others for him with our cap space. (2) Sign best FA Center available (unless he is not a "top caliber" center. Then draft one. No point in signing another Bodine/Gory) (3) Sign at least one of: Geronomio. Allison, R. Cobb, Golden Tate, Cole Beasley, John Brown, Deonte Thompson, T. Williams. (4) Sign one of: Coleman, Ingram, L. Murry. Draft what you didn't get above, but don't reach. Either trade-down or take BPA.

HARD NO to bell. He would suck behind this line. His move is a hesisitation and hit the hole. I'd take Coleman from Atlanta over Bell. Otherwise, I like the T. Williams, and OL. N. Harry in the first round, esp. if we trade down to get him would be good.

WHO DESERVES THE BLAME?? THE PEGULAS!
RyanC883 replied to billsfan61184's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a very hard time believing that Terry and Kim, who have been very successful in business, are "naive and gullible." They see what's going on. Bean has not been a disaster, he has brought in talent (Edmunds, Phillips, White, Hyde, etc.). MCD has zero help on offense. The biggest failing is the failure to get good coaches for the QB, OL and OC. -
Clay is an absolute disaster here. I would try to trade him to the Rams (they could use a TE upgrade) for a 7th. Or a conditional 7th. Anything to free up his cap space next year. Croom and Thomas can pickup the slack. exactly. Everyone is on Peterman, and rightly so. He's bad. But he's a 3rd string QB. We are basically getting 3rd string play from him. Clay has not stepped up, KB has not stepped up. When your QB goes down, you need your "stars" to step-up and help the backup. So far, no one on this offense is stepping up. Hopefully we don't have KB and Clay here next year and can use that money on OL and other talent to help the QB.

Everyone that wanted TT gone, we told you
RyanC883 replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
was more like what the O-line and Shady did with this team last year. TT is a backup in Cleveland for a reason. -
Peterman fact with just a twinge of hope
RyanC883 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right. And it was insanity last week until the 4th Quarter I think. Keep running Shady up the middle. That's not his thing, that is Ivory's thing. Put Ivory in, he averages something like 4.5 yards a carry. If you want to run the ball, esp. with this line, you need to put the right players in the right positions to succeed. -
I believe he also predicted the Giants over the Pats in 2007. When I saw that, it gave me hope. Turns out he was spot-on. Wondered where he went. Figured he retired. Unfortunately he was forced into retirement by a very difficult situation that he battled for 10 years. RIP Dr. Z.

wow, that is scorching, esp. from a reporter who covers the Browns a LOT. She is one of the best, btw.

Some QB's have home/away splits. This is an extreme one. But given that the game is at home, I'll take it. I think he plays well this week. And I hope Daboll runs IVORY into stacked boxes. No more setting Shady up for failure with that. Throw Shady the ball. Use him as another WR if needed. -
McD - Allen isn't too far off in throwing again
RyanC883 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. no need to go personal on the guy! 2. if drafting a rookie QB next year, you have tons of FA money to build around him. If you build around Allen and he flams out, most of the FA's you brought in to build-around him will be gone by the time the next QB arrives. -
If you are coming form the Thruway, Bert's Bikes on Southwestern Blvd, Orchard Park, 14127 is a good spot to Park. A bit of a walk to the stadium, but easy in and out and doesn't fill-up quickly.

Wonder if Vonte Davis played for this guy?
RyanC883 replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow. that is very strange. -
Per WR John Brown, he turned down a 3 yr deal from Bills
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get Bridgewater in FA. Then some WR's should follow. -
Nate Peterman "I'm ready to go win a game"
RyanC883 replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the play sequence I want to see: a few throws to Zay in the middle. Some completions. Then make it look like he is telegraphing a sideline out. All the DB's will jump, have him pump fake, then throw to a wide-open WR in the middle for a TD. -
any vet WR's out there we could sign, even if "washed up" who are good route runners who can mentor the other WR's? Perhaps Garcon in the offseason?
