  1. Imagine getting AB for a 3rd this year, and 2nd next. Then trading down in the draft. Grabbing a OT in the 1st, then WR Deebo Samuel in the 2nd. Suddenly, we have a top WR team. Then we use the 3rd (that we get from trading down) on another OT, or DT. good point. The Steelers would take that in a minute.
  2. I think his best fit is on the Colts. Do the Colts give up their 1st to get it done??
  3. Chris Slayton, DT Syracuse. I see him moving into the 2nd or even late 1st round. The guy can do it all, and was consistently double-teamed at Cuse.
  4. I like it. If guys like Lacy are on the "fringe" of the roster, that means we are brining in the competition. He was a below-average LB, but prob average ST player.
  5. I think a TE like James is important because he can be counted upon to block and make the short, 5-15 yard plays that move the chains on a consistent basis. We don't have anyone who can do that. Also, I want John Brown. Him and Foster would be an amazing combo. Get both!!
  6. As someone who lives in Pittsburgh, James is the real deal. Great all-around TE. Was great at PSU also. Can perform all TE functions at an above-average level. Has great hands and will help with the intermediate routes. Can block well. And will fit in with the Bills, as someone who got screwed by the refs against the Pats****. I'm not sure what, if any, Steeler fans are happy for him to go??? The Steelers are going to miss his all-around ability. He filled-in after Heath Miller retired. Their other TE is a pure pass catcher. James is a huge upgrade over Clay and Croom. A combo of James and Croom is a legit combo. Also allows us to draft a TE in round 3 (since it's a deep TE draft).
  7. Kraft not the biggest name involved. What???? Other NFL folks? Or others? Also, wtf is Kraft at a shady massage parlor? He could find a gold digger rather easily if he wanted.
  8. Seems like we finally have a capable GM and HC. Here is a question: given the terrible GM's we had, would having Payton have made a difference? Clearly we win more games than with Jauron, but in terms of the overall picture, would our GM have let him go after Brees, etc.? Picking Jauron over Payton is just terrible. Reminds me of hiring decisions that are made because someone has "put in their time," over merit.
  9. Here is mine. I set it on hard. It seems unrealistic: 1: R1P9 DL QUINNEN WILLIAMS ALABAMA 2: R2P9 RB JOSH JACOBS (can't pass up the best RB) ALABAMA 3: R3P7 WR DEEBO SAMUEL (another playmaker!) SOUTH CAROLINA 4: R4P11 G BEN POWERS (I figure OL is addressed in FA. But here is another addition). OKLAHOMA 5: R4P29 TE ISAAC NAUTA GEORGIA 6: R5P10 EDGE L.J. COLLIER TCU 7: R5P20 OT KALEB MCGARY WASHINGTON 8: R6P9 CB HAMP CHEEVERS BOSTON COLLEGE 9: R7P8 LB CAMERON SMITH USC 10: R7P14 C SAM MUSTIPHER NOTRE DAME I think we address OL in FA. I think MCD and Bean will want experience protecting JA and improving the running game.
  10. Thanks Yolo. About the rules mentioned in the last paragraph. Can Josh call Daboll or stop into the facility whenever she wants during the offseason, or is he forbidden from reaching out?
  11. I think MCD tells every FA they have to compete and earn the spot. So this does not rule out Morse or Paradis. MCD plays the best player, period. The Long signing also makes sense in that you get some cheap, good depth at the 2nd most important offensive position.
  12. Perhaps a change of scenery helps Malik. He'd be a great addition on a low-cost "prove it" deal.
  13. This is true, but also why Jones, Hopkins, Thomas, and Green are likely not available. Here is another way to take a risk on a great pass catcher w/o trading: Get Eifert in FA. Perhaps pair that with an AJ Green trade.
  14. Pittsburgh is not exactly stable at the moment. Perhaps Allen has a better ability to get the ball to OBJ than Manning?
  15. he kind of just killed his collusion case by asking for $20 million. He's a backup.
  16. can Morse play guard and Paradis center?
  17. I think we'd be able to handle "polarizing" on the D side more than the O-side, given the veteran leadership in that room.
  18. I'm not sure how this helps Denver. I guess it's a "we have a great D" win-now and hope Flacco discovers his playoff MVP play again move. Otherwise, it's a slight upgrade.
  19. who needs Foster and Wallace!
  20. that's why it would be on a "prove-it" deal
  21. Here is how this could happen in 2019. A few stretches here. The most likely, believe it or not, appears to be at the WR position if Foster plays the whole season like he did after week 10 last year. DE: Lawson, if he continues to improve and starts getting sacks in addition to batting down the ball. (or FA Tre Flowers or Demarcus Lawrence) 3 LB: Milano, Edmunds, Alexander, or White (rookie from LSU if drafted and BPA) 2 OL: Paradis (C from FA); Trent Brown (OT--FA) QB: Josh Allen. Improves intermediate passing, has better WR corp that does not drop balls. WR: Foster (whole season like his 2nd half last year, and he's a pro-bowl player) RB: Ingram or Coleman in FA; or someone from the draft with improved OL play. Or Shady with improved OL. ST: Punter Corey Bojorquez. Can pin the ball inside the 20 and kick long balls.
  22. this is a great signing, IMO. The Bills can get rid of Groy, who looked lost. We now have a swing backup. We can still go after one of the top 2 centers in FA, along with drafting and OT or two. Not bad for a backup center who could start at other parts on the line. You need depth at center.
  23. well, at least the Jets have NO center. hahaahahah. We have 3, albeit best as backup centers.
  24. I'd take Thomas on a prove-it deal.
