the weather argument comes up in Syracuse Basketball. Coach B always tells the recruits, "during the winter you're inside playing basketball, during the Summer it's awesome here or you can go home." Similar to football: "during football season the weather in Buffalo is awesome. During the winter you can stay or go to Arizona or wherever." Really, playing in Buffalo (or any northern team) allows you to be in fantastic weather almost every day of the year. Great during the season, then go south when the season is over if you want.

and Skyline Chili is disgusting.

I doubt the media would be bashing Green Bay. Not sure what there is to do in Green Bay, it's smaller than Buffalo. But their team has a winning history. We start winning, players start coming.

Clearly, you did not live in Pittsburgh, or have not lived here since the 1970's. I too am sick of seeing Buffalo (where I used to live a long time ago) bashed, but Pittsburgh is very nice. That said, AB is a total D-bag for not going to Buffalo, and the morons who say living in Buffalo is a "downgrade" likely have not left NYC (which sucks) most of their life. If D. White is available, he is the BPA and should be taken in about 2 seconds. Your LB corp is set for the next 10 years. Then, this is a deep WR class, draft a speedy WR in the 2nd. Lots to choose from. I'm also assuming we hit a few OL/TE in FA.

Jesse James and Croom would be a good tandem. As Webster Guy noted, this is a team that goes more vertical than intermediate passing routes. We could have 2 good TE's, and go after some speed guys in FA and the draft. Although Hock would be a James type player (blocker, catcher) with better catching ability.

I want my sleep back. I was about to go to bed, saw something about the Bills on the bottom, then it was AB, and stayed up another 2 hours, and nothing more than speculation, but that they are "close." No, they weren't. Freaking leaky Steelers. Hate that team. That's what the leaky Steelers would have you believe (oh, it's not AB's contract demand, that's nothing, it was the QB situation). It's all about the money with AB.

my guess is that someone in the Steelers leaked this, thinking it would draw other teams (Green Bay, Oakland) to try to offer something stupid. In the end, it's likely Bean didn't want to pay AB more money and it got nixed somehow.
