  1. nice additions to the secondary. !
  2. Will be at the game in PGH, and likely at CLE. !! Both are easy drives from Buffalo, or Pittsburgh where I am.
  3. if you can't get Direct TV due to sight-of-line issues (same here), you are eligible for the Direct TV Streaming Sunday Ticket. If the website won't let you get it, call customer service and explain the situation.
  4. With the 52nd pick of the draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers, select Deebo Samuel, WR--South Carolina. The Steelers would have taken ILB Mack Wilson if he were available, but now, the value is in replacing an ultra-athletic WR with another ultra-athletic WR. The Steelers are happy to be able to get a WR with speed and great hands at this point in the draft, and can't wait to move him all around the offense to confuse opposing D's. He'll be a great #2 for JuJu. We also look forward to his game-changing kick returning ability. @whatdrought and the Raiders are now on the clock.
  5. With the 51st pick of the draft, the Miami Dolphins select Elgton Jenkins--C--Mississippi State. The Dolphins continue to build its OL to protect Dan Marino --oh wait, he's no longer a Dolphin? Um, I mean, Ryan Fitzpatrick and next year's rookie. @RyanC883, and the Steelers are on the clock.
  6. With the 48th pick, the Miami Dolphins select Kaleb McGary, OT--Washington. The Dolphins are excited to be able to add a quality OT to their abysmal looking OL to protect Tannihel this year, and whomever we pick next year. @bkep32 and the Browns are on the clock!
  7. would love Bills v. Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
  8. I just think there are better options later in the draft. With Metcalf, it's all about drafting projection. He was not uber productive in college. He has route-running issues. I'd rather take DL at 9, and go with someone like Butler or Harmon (if you want size/speed --size with Harmon), or Brown or Cambell or Isabella later if you want speed. The draft is just too deep at WR to take a gamble at #9 when you have so many other needs (ex. DL).
  9. I'm just enjoying reading everything here. Lots of great ideas (not that I agree with them all) from many knowledgeable posters. Great topic, OP @whatdrought!
  10. @BuffaloHokie13 Apologize to me!. you just took one of my picks for the Dolphins. ?
  11. Yeah, I was thinking about Wilkins, but I think Simmons is a better player, and won't impact MIA's tank effort this year. Baker and Murphy were close. I think Baker fits the mold of a PGH CB better than Murphy. But those players are all soo close to eachother. IF you look at a lot of rankings, you'll see Simmons ahead of Wilkins and vice versa. Baker and Murphy also swapping places in others. Also liked the fact that Simmons faced a lot of double teams and was uber productive, and Baker played in the SEC against some great WR's.
  12. With the 20th pick of the draft, the Steelers select DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia. The Steelers hope this does not turn out to be another head-case, but the talent and production is too much to pass up. @Watkins101 and Seattle are now on the Board.
  13. With the 19th Pick, the Miami Dolphins select DT Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State. This is perfect for the Dolphins. They get a top player who does not harm their ability to only win a "few" games next year because he will not be available until later in the season. The Tank for Tau is still alive with this pick. @RyanC883and the Steelers are now on the clock. oh, that's me.
  14. Here is one w/o any trading. Some of these grades are odd, like an A, and not A+ to D. White Round 1 Pick 9: Devin White, ILB/OLB, LSU (A) Round 2 Pick 8: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College (A-) Round 3 Pick 10: Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M (A) Round 4 Pick 10: Max Scharping, OT, N. Illinois (A+) Round 4 Pick 29: Dru Samia, OG, Oklahoma (A) Round 5 Pick 9: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford (A+) Round 5 Pick 20: Mike Edwards, FS/CB, Kentucky (A) Round 6 Pick 8: Chris Slayton, DT, Syracuse (A+) Round 7 Pick 11: Jalen Hurd, WR, Baylor (A+) Round 7 Pick 14: Porter Gustin, OLB, USC (A+)
  15. thanks for sharing. That's a fun site. Here is a draft I just did. I disagree on the grade for Campbell at WR, and perhaps I took Crosby too soon. Round 1 Pick 11 (CINN): Ed Oliver, DT, Houston (A) Round 2 Pick 8: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio St. (B) Round 3 Pick 8 (CINN): Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College (A+) Round 3 Pick 10: Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M (A) Round 4 Pick 8 (CINN): Maxx Crosby, DE, E. Michigan (C+) Round 4 Pick 10: Miles Sanders, RB, Penn St. (A+) Round 4 Pick 29: Max Scharping, OT, N. Illinois (A+) Round 5 Pick 9: Jachai Polite, DE, Florida (A+) Round 5 Pick 20: Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio St. (A-) Round 6 Pick 8: Chris Slayton, DT, Syracuse (A+) Round 7 Pick 11: Byron Cowart, DT/DE, Auburn (A+) Round 7 Pick 14: Porter Gustin, OLB, USC (A+)
  16. How do we fulfill @MJS dream of Oliver and Clark? Trade the 2nd for Clark?
  17. Thanks @bkep32 and @Virgil The trade has now been updated. Tenn gets: 13 / 116 / 151 / 233 MIA gets: 19 / 51 / 82 Now, @Chuck Wagon and Tenn are officially on the Clock!
  18. I think @Chuck Wagon got it passed with Virgil. The Dolphins have so many issues, and one player at #13 would not solve them. Still a lot of players who are on my Miami board will be available at both 19 and 51 (even though we are not picking in this draft in a 2nd round).
  19. Here is my ideal: Oliver, DT (these guys are very hard to find.) Trade back into first: grab solid OL: Ford, Taylor, or Dillard or Lindstrom, or McCoy (Guard/backup Center) (one should be available). In second, grab WR Campbell if available, if not, DE Furgeson. Later in the draft: grab one of: TE Sternbrener, WR: Samuel, Harry, or, Harmon; then Edge with Crosby; and/or Collier. With all this said, we will be able to add quality Defensive and Offensive talent. BPA baby. I'm not quite as pessimistic. I think the trade-up for Allen shows the team knows it needs offense. I think the OL spending in FA was to surround Allen with Vets. I see an DL/OL combo in the first, as well as additions at the TE and WR and RB positions in the draft.
  20. The Dolphins and Titans have made a trade. @Chuck Wagonand the Titans are now on the Clock. The Dolphins get pick #19 & pick #51 (1,265 of value); the Titans get #13 & pick #116 (1,212 of value). The Dolphins have a TON of needs, and will be able to get a quality player at #19 as well as pick up a 2nd rounder.
  21. not in the 1st round at #9. Note, neither Gronk nor Thomas were taken in the 1st, let alone at #9.
  22. Pats*** have been doing this for years, to some extent the Saints as well until last 2 years.
  23. no Lofton. also would put A. Williams at Safety.
  24. I'll take Philly if no one else wants it.
  25. well, I think every RB ran through our D like swiss cheese last year. I think he will flame out wherever he goes, his YPC average is pathetic for someone built like him, but he'd be worth a cheap flyer. If he stinks, cut him. I'm still drafting Sanders or Love if available.
