  1. draft him. The rushing yards give you a high ceiling. Take the Colts QB as a backup. Load up at WR and RB, etc. DO IT. I plan on drafting him in my 2 QB league, and perhaps in my one QB league also.
  2. 2: Punter, and a pass rusher who gets cut, or Clowney!!! Also, Perhaps a RB. We don't have any.
  3. he could of trolled the media like usual, but the, "I don't pay that much attention to them," was a disrespectful jab. They were picked by some to be AFC contenders with Luck.
  4. not good. I bet Houston grabs him. Lessens ability to trade RB for Clowney. Although our RB's (all 10 of them) better than Martin at this point.
  5. IR Foster, Zay may be trade bait to Houston.
  6. where is the news on Clowney!!!!!! My F5 key is broken at this point.
  7. I don't get what's going on with Foster. He was lighting it up last year. Perhaps he performs in games and not practice and isn't seeing the field.
  8. good point. I guess it depends on where Houston thinks we finish. I'd even do a 2nd. does Philly have cap space after this year. I have no idea. But you are correct about their depth. They have done a great job the past few years stockpiling talent (and winning a SB).
  9. I'd agree. I think this guy thinks we keep only 3. I'd be great trading Yeldon as part of a trade to get Clowney.
  10. We could trade a WR (Zay or Foster) since Houston is looking for depth, and either one would be a great #3, plus a RB and a 3rd.
  11. wait, not wanting to go to Miami. I read a story last year that nobody wanted to come here!?!? wonder what we are trading. Likely a RB and draft pick.
  12. Duke Johnson may be better than Miller, and my guess is Houston picks up a roster cut RB. Perhaps we can trade one of our 10 backup RB's for a 7th.
  13. Name the leading rushers who have been cut? Also, QB way more valuable than RB. You manage the QB position different than others. Seems like NFL coaches agree with me on this one
  14. It's not that he needs to be babied. He performed above-average in preseason. If he can replicate this in the regular season, you have a capable backup QB. A capable backup QB is very important. It's not "babying him" but managing an asset to get the most of out it. I don't get how some people can't grasp that
  15. Happy Birthday Astro!
  16. thanks for the reminder. Totally forgot we are on tonight!! I've been out of the Country for the first 2. Can't wait to see this one. But if Allen sucks, I expect Pegs to send me back out of the country. I'll have to figure out how to contact him of course....
  17. 100% this. Take the pressure off him by putting him in at the end of games. In fact, I'd do this regardless of who my backup is to give that guy game experience in case something happens to the starter. But esp. with Peterman. He's a legit NFL backup based on preseason work, then in games, he becomes panick-man.
  18. You play starters that need to play to continue to develop (Allen, the OL, etc). Playing Newton (not sure how long he played) for over a quarter is questionable. I believe the Bills of the 90's barely played starters in preseason after they started the SB runs. Knock off some rust, then let the backups get some experience. But this is totally different than what we have now. We need to play our starters.
  19. I'd say following blockers, showing an improved NFL Football IQ, and having 100+ yards with the 1's. On the other hand, even if he doesn't make the 53, I'm putting him on our PS instantly. Not exposing him to other teams through the international system. He could always be taken off our PS, but he's great depth.
  20. we could have just acquired 2 starting TE's in one draft if Knox performs and Sweeney keeps this up.
  21. Would likely beat us twice: KC. The offense can put up points, and the D is much improved. NO. Same as KC. In fact, NO may be the best team in the NFL right now. Close, but not in list: Indy: Very close to top list. Great balanced team, but not sure their offense is good enough to put enough points up on our D. See this as a low-scoring game and we would likely split. Pats: don't think they win twice. Will find out this year. TB is older, and Oliver is there for the pressure. I think we can score on their D. Steelers: Good offense, but I like our D, and their D is not elite anymore. Browns: paper team right now.
  22. Shaq/Murphy rotation. Shaq until pass rushing downs. That's fine. Even if Shaq is inadvertently in on a passing down, the pressure from Hughes and Oliver will force the QB to him, and he's capable at cleanup. Not a bad combo to have. Can't have a Hughes at every DL position. I think we address this with a stud in next years draft or FA.
  23. sports are hardly meaningless. they teach a lot of valuable lessons that can be applied to life. it’s interesting that you find the world a miserable place and sports meaningless yet post here?
  24. i think he makes the final roster
