  1. This is a fantastic writeup. Thanks @MAJBobby. I would love to add Tomlinson. If the Giants keep him, that likely shakes L. Williams free., in which case I'd go after him. This would be my big offseason DL move, more important than edge, IMO. It is one more that does 2 things: first, it provides outstanding 1T play and stuffs the run. 2nd, it frees up Oliver to use his penetration ability/pass rush.
  2. I think I want Tampa to win 17-7 with Tampa scoring a defensive pick 6 from Kelce or Hill fumbling the ball. The other score will be a run where Jones gets smashed up the middle. Brady also throws a pick-6. Tampa wins, but Brady plays horribly.
  3. shows you it's not all Brady. It's the talent around him. Allen >> Brady this year, not even close. Brady's amount of luck both in terms of games and calls are unreal.
  4. yep. I'd take the plug and play on offense, shed some cap and go with FA signing for edge/passrusher.
  5. He had a really good rookie year. Also, Hodges apparently had a good camp prior to the injury.
  6. I get your point, but I disagree. Kicking did nothing to help the "shell shocked" state of the team prior to the half. If anything, it was waiving a mini white flag. And we can out and ran the same soft "zone" defense and gave up a TD.
  7. agreed. Thanks, fixed it to Jones. Don't know why I had Clark on the mind. Leaving John one on one was a total failure.
  8. the players failed to execute. WHy we left John seemingly one on one with Jones was confusing and likely a Daboll issue.
  9. yeeha, 2 3rds is nice, even better, no more soft a** zone.
  10. Barrett (pass rush) Tomlinson (run stopper) Everett (TE) second level wants: Henry (TE--too expensive likely) L. Williams (DL) I'd do it to add to Knox. I think Henry is too expensive, I'm intrigued by G. Everett.
  11. if you think the RB you'll get at 30 is a difference maker, then you take him at 30. If you don't think there is much difference between the guy at 30 and a 3rd rounder, wait and go IOL or IDL, or LB, or whatever. But the argument that RB's are a dime a dozen is patently false. Put McCaffery, Barkley, Cook, Kamara on the Bills and the offense is exponentionallybetter/harder to defend.
  12. the last place red zone defense owned our 1st place red zone offense. Daboll should apologize to everyone on the team for his playcalling (so shoul Fraizer and McD).
  13. i saw that on TV. What set Diggs off?
  14. he and yeldon both look better than singletary
  15. I'm also fine with Knox being TE1. He was good enough this year when called upon. If Pitts for Fiermauth (sp--te from PSU) is there at 30 or 2nd round, respectively, I"d grab one. Otherwise, fine with what we have and would upgrade other areas first.
  16. RB: we NEED a running game. A big, fast RB would be nice. We have two slow back, and Yeldon, whom the coaching staff should play more. OL: need to block for running and passing game. Can't let only 4 people get to Josh like last night DL: our DL is continually making tackles 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. A 1T would be ideal, second is an Edge. LB: could use a real MLB to move Edmunds outside, which hopefully helps the pass rush. If not a MLB, then a pass rushing LB. Edge: see DL and LB above. NEED to pressure the QB. I actually think that through the draft and FA we can address all of the above. the contract would likely be structured in a way to allow FA additions.
  17. I liked Dane. I think he becomes the #2, hopefully we can keep Wallace, which gives us Wallace, Dane, and EJ at CB 2.
  18. For everyone roasting the OP, this is a decent critique. Josh was not as good against the Ravens and KC as he was all season. So lets determine why. One reason: the OL play seriously deteriorated. KC was getting continual pressure with 4 DL, which allowed KC to drape coverage all over WR's. No one was open. We have a putrid screen game and lack a speedy back for it. Daboll could have helped with some plays to McKenzie, but didn't until the game was out of hand. So reason #1: OL. Reason 2: Gosh got sacked for something like 50 yards. He needs to throw it away MUCH sooner. If there is no one open, and no where to escape, option 3: throw away. Don't try to force an escape, particularly if it involves running backwards. With that said, there has rarely been a QB asked to carry an entire team this early in his career who has had this much success. We have no running game, our WR #2 is on a broken leg, and something was wrong with Brown, and our defensive game plan v. KC was a joke. In conclusion: (1) fix run game; (2) fix OL; (3) Josh throw it away sooner; (4) fix defense.
  19. not a weight bearing bone makes sense. Still, ouch. That is a tough guy. And he still was productive (not as much as before, but still produced).
  20. how is this even possible?> WOW.
  21. I'd save a lot on the DL by letting most of them go. Use savings to sign Tomlinson from the Giants to play 1T and/or an Edge rusher, and draft those positions also.
  22. Oliver would be much better with a real 1 tech next to him. Regarding Edmunds, I see him at replacement level. but he is still young, so he could improve. he is more of an outside LB. He is a huge liability in the run game. If we can't keep Edmunds, we could pick up a 1 tech and draft Edmunds replacement. Overall, the DL is a huge issue.
  23. agreed. the coaching and game plans were terrible. the OL added to it with its terrible execution.
  24. well, this wins true yet depressing post of the night. that said, I like Allen more than Boomer and we have a GM who may be better than Polian. I like our odds of catching and beating KC.
  25. agreed. and hopefully a better RB and line will help him do that next year.
