get 2 1 Techs (we currently have none, or perhaps Star); a pass rush; and better OL/running game, and we are in it. Not too far off.

2021 First Game: Thursday Night Buffalo at Tampa Bay?

would love TB at that point. First game and ability to catch people by surprise. -
ESPN way too early power rankings

I feel like Marcel is a closet Bills fan! Guy has great analysis. Perhaps he is just one of the few national guys who pays attention to the Bills. At any rate, agree with this. Although hard to justify having Tampa below us. totally agree. Get a DT in FA, another one in the draft, Star is back, move Edmunds to outside LB, draft inside LB. -
Today's Mock Draft. comments/thoughts?!?! My comments in parentheses . 30. Buffalo Bills Liam Eichenberg OT, Notre Dame (seems like a potential day 1 starter. RB Harris was gone at this pick. Instant help for the OL to replace someone who likely departs in FA. I'm thinking a move to guard here is potential?) 62. Buffalo Bills Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE, Wake Forest (surprised he was available here. Help for the pass rush). 93. Buffalo Bills Hunter Long TE, Boston College (unsure about this pick. Seems like the most-used pass catching TE in the draft, and a good value here. But will he be an instant impact, should I have taken the IDL from LSU who was available here?) 160. Buffalo Bills Shaka Toney EDGE, Penn State (the guy is small. Like needs to put on weight. That said, he has produced 2 years in a row in the Big 10). 173. Buffalo Bills Simi Fehoko WR, Stanford (playmaker WR) 210. Buffalo Bills Garret Wallow LB, TCU (Milano replacement.) (Why does Draft Network forget our 7th round pick!!) use the Draft Network mock draft. Its great for people like us. They have player profiles. Just click on a name. I read several mock drafts (Walter Football is good for player evaluation), and then use the Draft Network research to gain insight into players.

Sal's "State of the Bills" podcast from today is a good listen

the issue here is that KC’s offense owned us twice while Tampa adjusted. -

I think it changes next year or Frazier is gone. Game plan v. KC was a joke. -
Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?

KC O line was really decimated after losing Fisher in AFC Champ game. -
[Dead cap] With the Goff and (pending) Wentz trades...

worked for Tampa! -
I hear ya. There are several "cures" for this that I have found. One: read mock drafts obsessively. Two: try mock drafting yourself at: The Draft Network, click on "Start a Mock Draft"; or at Fanspeak. The Draft Network is nice because clicking on player names often brings up scouting profiles. Although The Draft network bizarrely forgets that the Bills have a 7th round pick (unless we traded it and I'm not aware). Third, and most importantly: visit twobillsdrive.com every day to talk about football, including relevant and seemingly less relevant topics related to the Bills. Together, we can make the offseason seem very short.

strange. can't get the link to work. Bing search "Sporting News 2021 top FA by position."

Shaq Barrett should have won MVP not Brady
RyanC883 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barrett is a FA? That's good. More edge rushers at FA mean more likely that we can land an impact one! -
the Bucs running game allowed Brady to make key passes and keep pressure off Brady. It was a clear focal point and the ability to run at will killed the clock and kept drives alive for TB. Conversely, KC's horrid line due to injury kept pressure on Mahomes all night. KC likely should have run the ball more as they had some success doing that. But once they fell behind, that became more difficult to do, largely, due to TB running the ball well, moving it and killing clock.

I would love to keep Addison and be able to add someone like Yannick. unlikely. If we keep Addison, we need a disruptive 1T and a "lesser" FA like Hendrickson. Here is a list of FA by position (at the bottom) for those interested. Of course, it's just this site's list. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-free-agency-2021-rankings-top-players-by-position The lack of a 1T may have been harming the entire DL, including Addison and most importantly Oliver. In terms of TE, Everett from LA, or J. Smith would be awesome. (would love henry, but likely too expensive). Jordan Reed is also an interesting option here.

I agree with fortifying the lines, Moss will be good with a better line. Singletary is too slow. I'd like a big, fast back (Harris--AL; Williams--UNC; Hill--Miss State; or Stevenson--Oklahoma, in that order, I think) to complement the line upgrades. But we def need a better OL and DL, particularly at 1T and pass rush on the DL. On DL, it likely needs to be a combo of FA and draft picks. I'd let a lot of the DL vets go to bring in 1-2 top guys (Tomlinson and Yannick) and fill the rest with draft picks and AJ, Oliver, and Hughes)

Priority #1: Large, angry men for the OL and DL
RyanC883 replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like drafting some good DT/OL in the 2nd and 3rd, after hopefully Harris (RB) in the first. We can use FA to address Edge rusher, which will also be helped by a stronger 1T/3T pairing. thanks for the draft insights. Enjoy seeing these. Any thoughts on Farrell from LSU? -
I like the idea. If he comes on a team friendly deal I could see it. Otherwise, I think we are looking at spending FA money on DE, DT, LB. Dane Jackson looks the part of a CB #2, and we have a few other guys (Wallace) who can fill that role if needed.

we have Bevis and Butthead, Wayne's World, and a good Cheeto's Commercial. Not to bad.

agree we are undermanned in the front 7. I thnk a real MLB, move Edmunds outside helps the LB issue, getting Tomlinson in FA helps the DL temendously. Need a legit pass rusher in FA as well (Yannick?), then draft a RB and OL. I think we trade back in the draft to acquire all these parts. We can do it in one offseason.
