I'm not sure this is laughable at all. Jax has some decent WR's, and if the #1 is all it takes, then yeah, I do it in an instant if I'm Jax. A proven Watson over a questionmark. Watson every time. I'd even trade next years #1 as well.

Thanks for sharing. Some of the analytical information is useful in learning about prospects. I like the player mocked to us, although I'd go Harris or Etitine there. On the other hand, this comment about a prospect is just useless: "From a pure speed standpoint, on plays where he was not touched, Oweh had the fastest burst among edge rushers in the FBS last season, as measured by the time it took him to travel 5 yards from the line of scrimmage." On plays where he was not touched? Um, what happened when he was touched?

would love to get Lawson and Kerrigan. If Kerrigan is lower priced, he'd be a nice add on. I also love Tomlinson, but at the cost it's looking like perhaps better to draft a DT.

Buffalo Bills Tyler Shelvin IDL, LSU (more trench building. This time with a fantastic 1T prospect) 162. Buffalo Bills Javian Hawkins RB, Louisville (we need a speed RB. speed RB here!) 175. Buffalo Bills Deommodore Lenoir CB, Oregon (CB that can apparently provide great pass coverage and run defense. Good depth addition to an important position) 214. Buffalo Bills Ihmir Smith-Marsette WR, Iowa (Guy is rumored to be the "steal of the draft," so I'm not sure he will last this long. That said, he did. Good depth) Overall, this should help the run D, improve the interior OL, pass rush (Parsons), provide additional offensive speed, and add depth at some key positions.

Agree we need a better pass rush, but you also have to stop the run game. You simply cannot get gashed there or we will get beaten like we did against KC and Tenn this year. you can't be a total sieve. That said, I think we can draft some 1T's to help in run stopping. And developmental Edge players who can contain and eventually pass rush, while spending FA money on impact pass rushers. Bonus: there are 1T's that generate pass-rush pressure.

totally agree. You need the complete package to win it all. Our 90's D's got LIT UP in Super Bowls due to the "bend and don't break." That only works so long. You need ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK, D to win.

I get the Dupree love, but I have MAJOR concerns. The guy was a non-factor until contract years. His best years coincide with Watt playing lights-out for the Steelers D, he also benefits from Hayward. I'd pass on Dupree and the money he'd get and go after many other players (Lawson from Cincy)

I think "over performing" means over performing relative to talent. I totally agree that Edmunds (2nd year of regression), Hyde, Moss, and Knox underperformed. Our offense was basically Allen, Beasley, Diggs, and good OL pass (but horrid run) blocking. We have a LOT of talent upgrades to be made on offense to compete with KC and Tampa, IMO. On Defense, we do seem okay in the secondary, although we need someone who can cover a TE, as well as rush the freaking passer and stop the run. We are average in the front 7, and that just won't get it done. Bean knows this. He knew our WR's were horrid, he fixed that. He'll fix the DL. Tried last year, but we need more than one 1T on the D. And we need LB's that know how to diagnose plays.

I think we def need interior help. Even if Star comes back, you've gotta question the guys passion (he took the year off because he'd get paid anyway), and what shape will he be in? That said, I agree we should focus FA on Edge. I think the draft is decently deep in space eating 1T. Ideally, I'd grab a 1T in FA and the draft.

Carl Lawson is currently at the top of my list, then a 2nd group including: Shaq Barrett, Takkarist McKinley Shelby Harris, Justin Houston, Hendrickson, Clowney, Leonard Floyd, and Melvin Ingram, and a 3rd group of: Denico Autry, Aldon Smith, and Romeo Okwara. Star is overpaid. That's why it was a bad signing. It limits the cap elsewhere. Could have drafted similar production or gotten it at much less, even paid Star much less. Ideal (unrealistic) situation is to trade Star and his contract, get Tomlinson and a rookie.

this is the problem i have with it. seems very unrealistic. your first 3 picks are money, but likely none (perhaps Cox) make it to the 3rd. after watching KC in the Super Bowl, I’m down for OL at 30.
