  1. I’m beginning to think I’d take him at 30.
  2. great points. we didn’t go back. we didn’t improve as much as some were hoping (impact edge or OG or RB) but we can fill some of those holes in the draft. I don’t think the other teams did enough to close the gap, but they clearly came closer. i think Simms is wrong.
  3. no cap space for him. they have a massive CB issue in pit. would love him on Bills. likely too expensive.
  4. Houston. Professional, great player, still producing. He is older, but we don’t need a 10 year guy. Hopefully the draft or AJ provides the long term answer.
  5. here is a draft network writeup. Mentions "speed" and "track background" "Iowa wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette can, for the right offense, be quite the steal in the 2021 NFL Draft. Smith-Marsette brings ample speed, return skills, and vertical receiving to the game, and his production at the University of Iowa isn’t necessarily the best indicator or how talented he actually is—especially given that his open targets were much too often left short or hung in the air long enough to draw defenders back into the play. Smith-Marsette brings a track background to the field and it shows. He’s a graceful runner with easy speed and is at his best when he’s charged with stacking defenders vertically. The Hawkeyes did manufacture some touches for Smith-Marsette courtesy of tunnel screens, double reverses, jet motions and touch passes. He was highly productive on a per-touch basis and, despite some of his limitations in functional strength and size, should find success in a vertical passing offense at the next level. It is worth noting that Smith-Marsette was arrested on Nov. 1, 2020 for speeding and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, plus saw his playing career come to an unceremonious end with a celebratory front flip on a touchdown that resulted in an ankle injury that shelved him for the rest of Iowa’s 2020 campaign."
  6. todays' mock draft. appreciate feedback. 30. Buffalo Bills Alijah Vera-Tucker IOL, USC (not sure how he is here, but the guy can play either tackle or guard position. Upgrade to run and pass blocking). 61. Buffalo Bills Jabril Cox LB, LSU (much needed 3rd linebacker. Can cover, rush, etc). 93. Buffalo Bills Hamsah Nasirildeen S, Florida State (a nice addition who, with Cox, can cover TE's, help in the run game, etc.) 161. Buffalo Bills Dazz Newsome WR, North Carolina (replacement for McKenzie. Fast, productive WR, returner, etc). 174. Buffalo Bills Shaka Toney EDGE, Penn State (small for a DE, but was productive in college. staff will have to figure out if he can play DE or move to OLB) 213. Buffalo Bills Jermar Jefferson RB, Oregon State (seems like a speedy back with great receiving ability) 236. Buffalo Bills Landon Young OT, Kentucky (great run blocker. I think a steal here. Will have time to finesse pass pro). Missed out on a top 1T by drafting Nasirildeen and Dazz. Prob if I did it again, I'd take the WR from Iowa later and grab an IDL instead of Dazz, but both Shelton and Shevlin were gone then.
  7. I've taken him in most of the most draft's I've done. Speed, hands, kick returning. Mckenzie replacement? (hopefully we have McKenzie back, but we have a cap). I've also read he will be the "steal" of the draft, which means he will be picked higher than expected.
  8. how about a Slaton v. Shelvin breakdown. I like them both.
  9. disgruntled people make stuff up all the time. I'm sure Parson's was mean to him, but there is zero evidence he sexually harassed him. the Edmunds issue is why we need a LB at 30 or in the 2nd. Also, we just flat out need a 3rd LB!
  10. I think he sneaks into the 2nd./
  11. 2nd would surprise me a bit, indicates a run on 1T, but 3rd would not. Hamasah sneaking into the 1st?
  12. I doubt he falls to 30. If he is there, we would be crazy to pass on him unless he is in the realm Isaiah Wilson. odd the concerns are "bullying" and "sexual harassment" of a teammate. Sound like Incognito type concerns. In that case, this might be the team that gets him straightened out.
  13. I'd only do it for Pitts. I think he is a day 1 impact player and makes our offense the best in the league on paper. We then use round 3,-7 to get a 1T (Shelvin in 3); RB (kid from Louisville perhpas in 4); and OT/Guards.
  14. well, i was. but not with him on Mia. hope he grows but plays poorly against us
  15. we need edge in Fa (no impact ones in draft) and impact RB at 30.
  16. A total guy of the street no. But, If you're 100% focused on it and already have a similar athletic background (rugby for Wade). Also, there are examples of guys coming to US in High School and then getting big D1 offers only playing 1-2 years.
  17. I like this signing. If we can't get Ertz, Hollister is better than any guy we would draft, and would be our TE2 out of the gate. I'd say he's an above-average TE, not bad for TE2. Also consider we have WR's that can do TE type work in Beasly and Sanders in terms of red zone opportunities. Then you add Knox and Hollister. It's not bad. Not thrilling in the sense of adding an all-around weapon, but in short yardage adding him is a plus. Also plus run blocker.
  18. I'd say perhaps not as many yards as people think, but 7+ TD's. He's a good red zone target. Crafty route runner.
  19. can he play/has he played DE. I know sometimes DE and 3 techs play both. Not sure if he's done that. If he comes cheap, he'd be a great rotation for Oliver. Imagine facing Oliver then Atkins, then Oliver, then Atkins. Like no break for the OL.
  20. I wish they would say what super bowl contenders he turned down. I get turning down the Jets, but really, I can't see how "staying in PGH" instead of going to a SB contender makes him more marketable next year. That said, great. He's not on the Colts or Titans or KC!
  21. forgot about Gilliam. I like that guy. He flashed a few times this season. The edge defender that can contribute right away is the big ?? for me. I don't think you get a day 1 contributor through the draft at 30, so we have to get one in FA or hope AJ improves.
  22. run blocker. Finally!!! Can he play fullback??
  23. Here is today's attempt using Draftnetwork (they do not yet have our 2nd 7th round pick from ATL up). 30. Buffalo Bills Zaven Collins LB, Tulsa (do-it-all linebacker. Will help cover TEs, rush the passer, etc. Potential Edmunds replacement in a few years. My only concern is level of college competition, but K. Mack came from same division, I think). 61. Buffalo Bills Ifeatu Melifonwu CB, Syracuse (I like this one. CB2 competition. Depth at CB is really needed in today's NFL. Guy is physical and plays zone scheme). 93. Buffalo Bills Tyler Shelvin IDL, LSU (can't believe he is still here. Now, he's here, on the Bills. Here is a 1T. Can't rely on Star. Still would like another one in FA). 161. Buffalo Bills Sadarius Hutcherson IOL, South Carolina (4 year starter in the SEC. That's something. Apparently his "technique" may need work, but he is described as a "mauler." I'll take that. Should help in run blocking, and we don't need an instant starter if he's not ready day 1.) 174. Buffalo Bills Dazz Newsome WR, North Carolina (speed and returning ability. I'd rather not expose any starting WR/CB to returning duty unless necessary. And putting this guy onto the field, I don't see how anyone covers all our WR's) 211. Buffalo Bills Chris Evans RB, Michigan (apparently this guy has all the traits, but has not really played in 2 years due to an academic suspension and backup duties in 2020. Somewhat of a gamble that could apparently lead to a RB1. In the 6th round, I'll take it.) 234. Buffalo Bills Joshua Kaindoh EDGE, Florida State (6'7" DE. That's about all I know. And I like it in the 7th). Draft Loves: really like the top 3 picks. Feel it fills huge voids (pass rush, interior DL, CB2 (although I'm not so worried with our current guys) and TE coverage). Later getting Hutcherson and Newsome will get us great depth at OL and WR, I could see Hutcherson as a potential starter. Draft Regrets: the top three RB's were gone by my 1st pick, so I left with a total wildcard at RB. Not too thrilled about that at all. Also, no impact TE's in the draft, hoping that Knox makes a huge leap and we get another depth TE somewhere in FA.
  24. wait, General Paton is with the Vikings. Damm.
  25. great read, thanks. And totally demonstrates the BS from Gronk about almost signing here. Can't stand that dude. Total d-bag. It's fine to play elsewhere, but acting like a total a-hole all the time gets old, and lying about "playing at home" to feign some sort of attention is ridiculous. yeah, but at some point, these players need to stop "having their feelings hurt." Like you didn't know you could get cut? It's just so overdone.
