  1. This is a good thread. I will say this, it's nice that our debates are now about depth players!! (well, besides RB. I see Moss and Breida in a timeshare. Singletary and Willams battle for #3).
  2. I have Moss and Bredia ahead of him. I’d trade Singletary, but I’d need a 3rd back. He (Singletaty) is valuable as depth.
  3. Agree. No way we are No 7. In fact, I put us at 2 behind Reid. BB without an elite QB is top 10, not top 5. boring drafts make good teams, IMO.
  4. this dude clearly never had a flip phone!
  5. was at a Pirates game last night in Pittsburgh. Wearing a Bills hat found many other Bills/Pirates fans at the game. We are everywhere. Some of it had to do to people fleeing Buffalo and not coming back, other factors are the success of the team, etc. Also kids of fans (like mine) become Bills fans in Pa.
  6. I like the WR battle. lots of depth behind the starting 4, hope Hodgins makes it, but some good competition there
  7. I think it’s a bad decision for the roster fringe. With rookies missing last offseason and one less preseason game this year, it’s less time in a competitive atmosphere for the roster fringe/depth. That said, overall likely won’t matter.
  8. i think we have a more balanced offense run/pass wise, which opens everything up and we score a ton of points as a result. I expect Moss and Davis to be better in year 2, as well as Knox to finally put it all together. Breida’s speed element will also enable this offense to keep moving. I’m excited. I had the same thoughts. If our D plays better, we have the ball more. Daboll may run more, but we are getting points at a higher per possession pace than last year, IMO. We lost no talent on offense that was not replaced/upgraded. agreed. I’ll score 3 points a game if we win all 3-0! But, I don’t see that happening. I think we slow it down perhaps against other high powered offenses, but there are not enough teams like that to keep us under 500 pts in 16 game year. Although WFT’s D will be a good, early test for the O against a near-elite or elite D
  9. this is better than many of our drought year teams for sure.
  10. I read it, agreed with most of it, but also hope KC sucks.
  11. are you implying Jefferson is better than Diggs?!? I think Minny revamped it’s offense last year. Beasley was misused in Dallas, always talented. I agree on the terms of the bet. If Williams plays 1/2 games, I think he averages 5 ypc. I did forget about Breida, who I think has a resurgence here.
  12. I can see E. Sanders benefitting from this also. He's a great short area WR, or was, didn't keep up with him much the past few years.
  13. I'm going to have to disagree that Josh MADE Diggs into what he was. It was a combo of an elite WR finally having an elite QB. Same with Beasley in terms of elite slot WR having an elite QB. I'll bet you a beer that if Williams is in the RB rotation (and is actually used, you know, Daboll remembering that he has RB's) he averages 5 ypc! Since TE's take time to develop, and this will be Knox's 3rd year, yeah, I don't think it's far-fetched at all to expect a breakout year from him. Also, I expect Ertz to wind up on the Bills, which puts more talent there.
  14. I'm expecting greater production out of our TE's, esp. if we land Ertz. There is also no reason Moss and Williams can't average over 5 YPC. Diggs, Sanders and Beasley and David (perhaps Hodgkins also) are a fearsome WR grouping. It hardly is Josh doing all the work like 2 years ago. It wasn't all Josh last year either. Diggs was lights out.
  15. I think with our talent and depth at QB, DL, and the secondary, we are primed to win 13-14 games. I suppose I could consider making the AFC Championship game a "success", but I have a hard time doing that. This team is built to win it all, not become another perennial playoff team that never gets it done. If we stay healthy, and the D improves in run D and pass rush, (and I expect the RB game to improve as well) we can beat anyone. not sure we need Allen to carry us the way Rodgers carries GB. First, we have better WR (and potentially TE) group than GB, and hopefully our running game matches theirs. Williams and Moss flashed at the end of last year. Second, our secondary is likely the best in the NFL, and if our pass rush and run D get their act together, we could routinely hold teams below 17 points, and even give elite teams like KC major issues.
  16. You have to demonstrate that you can't get it at your house. In my case, the only place for the antenna would be in the yard due to signal blockage. The fact you had DTV in the past may work against you. However, did the signal ever interrupt/have issues? If so, you may have an argument that you can't get the service at your house and get the Direct TV online.
  17. totally agree. part of a good gm’s job is to manage around this madness and when to let good players walk. The Steelers were masters of this for a long time, esp. at LB
  18. Thanks for putting this together. It's always fun to see what others thing. Personally, I think the UDFA TE Morris makes the 53, along with RB Williams, who has balled out at every chance he's had. I think Morris over Sweeney, and Williams over Jones, despite Jones greatness on ST, we have likely enough ST guys with the draft and other position depth such as LB. lots of "good" players won't make it. I see some trades for future mid-round draft picks. Not a bad situation to be in at all!
  19. it was kind of fun to have such a villan on the Dolphins. I mean a guy who straight up disliked you/your team, and who you could just dislike back. I'm not sure there is anyone like that in the AFC East currently? yeah, some of it might have just been fun.
  20. anymore play60 events at the stadium. I'd love to do something like that with my kids (all 3 bills fans, including the daughter).
  21. you will likely be the first one to have his Bills jersey, if you don't already
  22. this, particularly if the helmet was one that was already used in the NFL. I could understand prohibiting new colors without approval or whatever, but you should be able to wear whatever helmet your team ever worn.
  23. I guess it depends on what "regress means." I expect a statistical regression because our running game should be better, meaning more rushing TDs, and greater use of running plays to ice games. I don't expect him to regress on a per-play basis. I think he will be even more efficient than last season.
  24. a dome is expensive, to cut some cost, cut some seats. If the team/league needs more revenue per seat, then 65K would easily clear the threshold, and being in a dome would provide all season demand. I don't think making a new outdoor stadium is going to do anything to increase the value to an average game attendee. Unless it's smaller to increase the price per seat/margin, it won't make any more money, IMO.
