  1. yeah, he's that good. total game changer on D. With him on one edge, Oliver in the middle, that will wreck havoc on a QB. Then draft well (big assumption perhaps) at 1T and LB and we are looking dominant. https://www.nbcsports.com/video/will-steelers-tj-watt-be-nfl-mvp-2021 feel gross posting from steelers fan board, but here it is. Listen to Ben talk about him. Game changer on D, we win a few SBs.
  2. what an a**. Typical KC fan from what I understand.
  3. forget drafting these guys. Bean can't find them. Get one in FA. Prob easier to find an impactful 1T, or OG than Edge rusher anyway.
  4. KC drafted better, improved their OL better, and still won. But I think the Bengals beat them, and LA wins SB. (which will create a discussion on how to prevent home-field at SB). And Von Miller is on LA, and should have been here.
  5. it's infuriating. Bean is not great. It's like he wants to get a bunch of average guys and hope one breaks through (see drafting 2 non-impactful DE's last year).
  6. I'd like to be able to divide it up, yeah. But for Watt, it might even be worth it, just take his salary.
  7. In draft: BPA baby (unless QB, then let the trading wars begin for extra draft picks).
  8. grab a difference-maker in FA. PPL will WANT TO come here. Reddick, Chandler Jones, and a OG. We NEED an impact front 7 in FA. That's my main FA wish. In the draft, you take BPA. We don't have a roster that is laden with untouchable talent. BPA (unless qb, then trade down). I don't care if it's a freaking safety, you take BPA. We could use another RB, OG, OT, WR, C (Morse gets hurt we are screwed) on offense. On defense, we need everything in the front 7, and even if a CB is BPA, take him.

  10. no, crazy rule, you should be able to trade the entire cap of a guy. dead, alive, zombie, whatever.
  11. yeah, no worries ending that, and glad to. But bumping them does almost the same thing, even if the guy eventually catches it, the time it takes to get off tics away. Yet we didn't.
  12. what? was he bad? I think that was the excuse, which is a poor job by Bean.
  13. but jamming a player takes time off the clock as they have to run a route. Okay, no more "holding," but we should have jammed Kelcie and Hill.
  14. well, I could see Daboll suddenly stopping ours. hahaha.
  15. no, but this is a unique situation. The Steelers have no QB. Unless they get Rodgers somehow. Crazy you can't trade the dead cap. I always thought it was a "punishment" for signing a guy and then being like, oops, and cutting him.
  16. this is a good point, but we still lost. I feel like the teams that lost to the Bills in the AFC in the 90s. I hope your right, then other teams have narrowed it also though (LA, Cincy, PGH actually if Rodgers is there). Also, I think Cincy upsets KC. You pulling for Cincy now?
  17. clearly not as much as you. I know you have it for cutting some guys, I thought it could be traded, guess not?
  18. yep, but we don't have anyone like that. Ultimately, McD needs to do that, and didn't. but we have light and fast guys who can cover TE's, like Kelcie, oh, wait, nevermind.
  19. how you don't have a LB hitting Kelce at the line is unreal. You can't let him start his route free. Yet, we did. We need an aggressive DC. Hopefully Frazier is gone. We have personnel issues in the front 7, but Fraizer did nothing to mask those. it was just mind blowing. Stupid prevent D. no pressure on mahomes, and Kelcie with no one around him.
  20. I'm not sure Reid had to do much. Liked McD being aggressive early, but why you don't squib kick with your defensive playing poorly and a loaded offense on the other side that only needs a FG is mind-blowing.
  21. could we take some of the salary, i have no idea.
  22. I have to respectuflly disagree, wrt Bean's early picks. Oliver was picked at 9, you need an instant impact player, not developmental. Ed dropped from 1st overall in most mocks to 9, there was a reason, he was a developmental player. Brian Burns would have been a better pick, or Jeff Simmons. Later in the 1st round that year, Bean picked Cody Ford, passing on Elgton Jenkins. Edmunds was a total reach, given that we could have not traded up and taken Vander Esch or Darius Leonard. Groot and Boogie (inactive most of the year) were not a BPA, Barmore would have been more impactful, esp. given the need for run stopping on our D, or Freiermuth at TE with Knox; or Nick Bolton, who played well against us again today; or Creed Humphry. Bean has missed an AWFUL LOT in the 1st 2 rounds. I wouldn't blow the whole thing up, but Bean needs to add talent to the front 7. We are in win-now mode, do what hockey teams often do, trade 1st rounders for proven vets. We don't have developmental time. We have like a 5-10 year window. yep, was open all game. Never solved by Frazier or our great MLB Edmunds. that's something, but also nothing. dude, relax man. we are arguing about 1 win here. I think we had a harder schedule this year. We don't beat KC the first time w/o Allen, or the Pats in the regular season at all, and the Panthers and Falcons games become awfully close. Heck, the Jets game at the end of the year.
  23. i don't know, why not? depends on if the Steelers are in rebuild mode. The Steelers are another team, if Rodgers is there, another challenge. Hopefully Rodgers stays in GB, which fails to put a winning team around him. yep, I think the best way is FA. I could only think of Watt, but there might be FA's available.
  24. i totally agree there is not always an upside. I mean, this could turn into a 90's Marino situation. That would suck. But, on the other hand, we could add a few players and this could turn into (I don't have a football analogy) but something awesome. Washington Capitals finally winning with Ovechkin? (as a Pens fan I hate to use that analogy, and I'd like to win more than once).
  25. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-free-agent-rankings-free-agency as FYI.
