  1. like the QB flipping, would also like a vet backup who can win us a few games if Allen is out.
  2. No reason for cutting Beasley twice other than a typo. II see your point with Jones and the cap. Personally 'd rather have have one impact guy like Jones than a bunch of average-ish players.
  3. fair point. I wasn't going to have him in my cut initially, but then did for money reasons. I'm thinking a draft pick, Ford, Bottenger. But I'd keep him unless the coaches are solid on a replacement.
  4. you are correct, we do need to plan for the post Poyer/Hyde days. Also hard to be paying them both. Not sure what Poyer fetches as a trade, and I think him and Hyde were the only 2 consistent D players all year (with White, until he was injured). Great writeup on Wallace. He is better than most think, and unfortunately will likely be gone unless we can somehow backload a contract for him expecting the cap to rise in coming years. I hate the idea that he leaves, because that forces us to get one in FA we may not like as much or draft one. I don't like having obvious holes.
  5. I agree with this. Getting a 2nd for Edmunds if he won't take under 10 a year, playing Klien, and getting a guy like C. Jones in FA to help the pass rush would make the D better. You'd also gain a 2nd rounder, so you can come out of the draft with hopefully (a big reach given Bean's last drafts) an impact CB, LB, and OL.
  6. Interesting list: Replaceable: Feliciano. Line played better without him. Cap savings even with the dead cap hit is worth it. Perhaps: Mores: if only we had Creed Humphry, that would replace Morse. If Linderbaum (C-Iowa) drops the Bills may be tempted to move on from Morse or restructure. Beasley: Might find another WR in FA for less. Klien; I'd love to keep this guy, I think he is better than Edmunds, but he may be too expensive for a backup. Not going anywhere: Hyde and Poyer, really the only 2 reliable guys on the D last year. Conclusion: cutting Williams, Beasley, Feliciano, and Beasley give something like 15 in space. I would use that for Chandler Jones and a WR, or Gronk.
  7. if Murray is gone, this should increase the odds that Kirk will not want to come back, and hopefully comes to Buffalo. Perhaps RB Edmunds also if available.
  8. always had good D's as I recall?
  9. will be interesting to see if he can get Ford to turn into anything. Excited to see him work with Spenser Brown!
  10. like it!! Shore up the run game. Wonder what back we bring in either in draft (likely) or FA.
  11. true, but might not get another option, and hopefully gets a bit of a leash here given the dearth of talent. Will need a great OC.
  12. technical expertise after a history degree from Yale? Seems like a stretch. Any other FB background prior to 2005? At any rate, odd hire. Although he did get a lot out of Jimmy G.
  13. Agreed. I’m fine with him using his hammer ability for a yard when needed, but he should generally slide. Brady played till 44 because he slid. Josh can still gain a ton of yards, move around in the pocket lime Rodgers, and throw a great ball without needing to bash ppl all over running.
  14. i think the difference is the amount if running. Does Josh see an open lane, run, then slide. But designed or RPO running plays where he batters himself into people as an essential RB have to stop. Even Romo commented on how much Daboll was running Josh v. KC. One game like that is okay, but it was all season. Josh has a can on arm, use that and get a battering back.
  15. giving up 45 points to J. Taylor was another.
  16. you can lose the “LOL I don’t think yku get it snark. You don’t have to agree but try not being a jerk.
  17. Is Frazier in the mix. I’d hire Frazier. And then get great coordinators. Frazier can be the CEO HC.
  18. um, tell that to the Dolphins, Oilers, Eagles, or 90-2000’s Eagles, or Bills of the 90’s (never won), or the Lions with Stafford (and Megatron)—or the Bills of this year even, who got bounced largely due to lack of impact players in the front 7, and Bean made no effort to get Von Miller or OBJ to help the offense. You are not guaranteed anything other than making the playoffs with an elite QB, and we really have not done much to help him out. That needs to change. Time to trade early picks for proven vets, or day 1 impact guys (Tre White), not developmental players (groot, Edmunds, Basham, etc.). Rams have had success with this and will now be in 2 SB’s in the McVey era. I always get “baby Shark” stuck in my head when I see his name, haha. But he would be a great addition. imagine having T. Henry in this offense. wow. But I’ll settle for another Motor level back so we have 2.
  19. I can’t see the video? Jones did well in the skills competition? Oh well, it’s not a real game.
  20. very strange. Likely someone making fun of the Minn Miracle play?
  21. I think we need to improve the D and get Allen more weapons. It can be done. Rams did both this season, Bean just stood pat. Can’t play timid in your SB window.
  22. that wasn’t a pick 2 drafts ago. that was a traded pick. difference.
  23. it’s likely that BPA in Rd. 1 is a CB. I just want BPA. We could upgrade/add to most positions. Need a day 1 impact player.
  24. I think 2 factors against him have likely happened: 1. not the play caller, allegedly, and 2. the past 2 years deep playoff runs likely gave him little interview prep time. (I favor no interviews till post SB for coaches).
  25. nhl has decent parity.
