I think this is what the OP means. He misses the work of being a fan. Anyone can be a fan of a winning team, it took some special dedication and interest back then. Not that we all are not crazy dedicated and interested still (ex. long threads about punters ability to hold), so I see the OPs point. But I do not miss it. Would rather debate the 5th WR or punter after a 20 pt win!

pleasantly surprised to see how well Elam tackled. I thought that was his issue pre-draft. Benford's early tackle where he shed a block and took down Henry seemed to set a tone on D. Was great all around by these guys.

Agree with this. Cook's explosion and elusiveness seems to be lacking. Perhaps it's just not there? Shakir should be fine, as you said, he's a rookie, 1st game. We have a great WR room and coach. I'm not as down on Kumerow being the next guy up, but as you stated, what if an injury lingers or another WR gets hurt. We are not deep there. We also lost the coin toss, again. Just pick tails all year or something. Overall, great game. Even better when you think of who we were missing: 2 pro-bowl level players (White/Oliver); our top backup CB (Jackson), #2 WR (Davis), and likely #2 DT or main part of the rotation (Settle). Just unreal. Everyone on the D was on fire against the run. Liked seeing Benford early in the game shed a blocker and bring down Henry. Seemed to set the tone.

1st game jitters I think. More worried about Cook, actually. He seems to only be able to run through clean holes on the boundaries. Haven't seen him break tackles, etc. yet. Clearly the 3rd RB right now.

no one should beat the Bills this year. We will only lose due to a something like injuries, playing another great team while not playing our best game, or playing a team like MIA or anyone and playing really subpar (Jax last year). We are more talented, deeper, and better coached than any team in the league right now. Oh, and wait till our stud CB gets back!

I'm not wrong, that's exactly how and why Jackson got hurt. Has Edmunds played better, yes. Did he injure Jackson by diving onto a player who was already down like he does all the time: also yes.

what was the son's motive? I did read about it a long time ago, and it's still wrong morally as you point out. But it does put him in a bit different light. I think he is wearing the compression sleeve to increase blood-flow to heal it quicker? Ideally we have one of these two back. If not, we will need Lawson at DE, and have a LB over the DTs.

trying to invest and build business is hardly rampant consumerism. some star athletes like sports cars, etc. they are not necessarily buying to "impress." A good financial advisor is key so you don't need to hoard your wealth, nor do you spend it all recklessly. it's a fine line I think.
